You guys respond to every review but mine. Under PA law the second you deny my claim I can sue. I would call me ASAP before the nastiest lawyer in PA is on your arses.
Car suffered water ingress with all this rain we've gotten in Pittsburgh through its sunroof. Erie canceled my tow and rental without telling me and is attempting to deny coverage on my car citing possible previous issues from TWO OWNERS ago...car was running a driving fine for thousands of miles for months then boom sunroof springs a leak and they are trying to find any way to weasel out of it. Calling my lawyer this morning because this is absolutely criminal how Erie is somehow involved in a car that should have been totaled years ago yet somehow allowed me not only to add it to my policy under full coverage but didn't inform me of "hey we've seen this car before and...." Just take my money every month for years and when I finally need you guys you leave me hanging high and dry. This review is staying regardless of outcome. Tired of being screwed by billion dollar companies. I'm now stuck with no vehicle to move my children around yet I have rental coverage on my car! They didn't even tell me just canceled it I get off work and go to Enterprise and they are the ones who told me. I used to tell everyone to switch to Erie. Now it'll be avoid them like the plague.

I would recommend Erie Insurance to family and friends. From the first call to my agent to dealing with the claims adjuster was quick and professional. Payments were very quick. What a great insurance company.

Supervisor was extremely aggressive and rude. I asked her to please hear me and speak kindly she screams more saying "you know what!" I hung up on her as I couldn't take the disrespect any longer. I had a simple question and was kind.

Very poor experience with this company. I was hit by a vehicle insured by them, the first rep I got (Angela Johnson) was beyond rude. She tried to tell me the vehicle wasn’t insured by them and I must’ve got the plate wrong so they refused to help me and told me just to go through my insurance which I did not want to do. Once I mentioned the police report with all the info, she changed her tune. Completely rude and did not help me as I was a 3rd party claimant and not their customer. I was able to get my claim settled by the secondary insurance on this vehicle and received very poor service from Erie. I will never recommend.

I see a bunch of 1 star views about communication. Well here is another one.I start off by saying that I am a long time Erie Insurance customer. I have several business policies through them and all of my person vehicles through them. If it wasn't for Ben over at Erie/Masters Insurance over in Forrest Hills i would have dropped this company today. I am not the type to write reviews but, this needs to be shared due to the ignorance and miscommunication that this specific branch offers.7/23/22 a pole fell on my car. I submitted a claim through Erie Insurance spoke to Ben and he got me squared away with the process..THIS IS when the nightmare started. I am currently working with Angela and Michelle. 7/23/22 is a Saturday and Erie Insurance is closed and they didn't open up until Monday 7/25/22. A pole fell on my car and crushed my car and electrical wire was all over my car. I had to UBER to Pittsburgh International Airport because all other rental car branches were closed and the only one open was at the Airport. I also reserved it through Hotwire because Hotwire offers cheaper rates. On top of that I knew my insurance would reimburse me i just wanted to keep the rental car cost down / equivalent to my current vehicle.I had the rental car for 1 week and then I returned it to the airport. The tow truck company couldn't tow my car until about 7/25 or 7/26 because of the live electrical wire on my vehicle. At this time I was assigned Angela or Angie as my claims adjuster. HORRIBLE. When the electrical wire was removed I finally got my car towed to Turtle Creek Body Shop. My car got dropped off at the body shop and the lady informed me that Angela / Angie never called them to let them know I was bringing my vehicle after she told me to take it there. I had to call her and tell her to call them so they can begin working on my car. I lost several days due to her delay.Next it was time to return my return car to the airport because i only paid out of pocket for 1 week. And get a vehicle through enterprise that works directly with Erie Insurance.Picking up the car from Erie insurance was fast and easy. At this time Erie Insurance has not transferred me to a Rep by the name of Michelle. Before being transferred to Michelle, Angela told me everything I needed to do to get my rental car she was my point of contact, my Claims specialist the person who I were to speak too. Then Michelle came into the picture.I asked Michelle if I could be reimbursed from Erie Insurance for the $300 i spent on the rental Car out of pocket and boy was that like pulling teeth. I provided receipts, emails, and bank statements to Erie Insurance for them to act like the information I provide to them was a lie, invalid and incorrect. I even had to call Hot Wire and speak to a representative and get our communication transcripts so they could see I wasn't lying. I gave up all hope and just said to myself forget it. After a series of back and forth emails. Michelle magically got me approved to be reimbursed from her supervisor. That was great. I appreciated that. After i returned myRental car to the airport i picked up another rental car though Enterprise because Angela told me to do so and that it will be easier. She informed me that Erie Insurance will communicate with Enterprise on when I should pick the rental car up and what date I were to drop it off. This is when things go south immediately. It's about 25 days into my rental and I call Angela to ask her a specific date when I were to return the rental car. No call back, no email. I call Michelle. No call back no email.A month goes past. No call no email. No update. It wasn't until I sent an email demanding this information that they then returned my call. By this time enterprise told me i had a $1,400 bill and Erie stopped paying my claim 1 month ago. They never called, never emailed never left a voicemail. This office has very poor communication. Will cost you money. If you have a claim through them document / record everything. The other 1 star reviews are 100% legit--

I was with Erie for omgosh countless years giving them alot of money. for homeowners ins. And car ins.I had a issue with my roof. they assigned a property adjuster Donna, She came out took some shingles to match, my shingles could not be match they are about 20 years old. so they gave me a small amount of money to just replace some of the shingles then the(of course) took out my deductable, But took out money for the age of the roof i ended up with not even enough to buy shingles, Let alone paying someone to put them on.Well being upset, i spoke to a supervisor she said she has mixed matched shingles so can i. I am just sick thinking i gave this company alot of money to be treated like dirt. I am NOT done with this i am so upset i feel my ins. co should make me whole, If this is not made right I am sure another ins. co. will take my money for homeowners AND CAR INS.

Horrible communication, difficult to reach, no one calls you back promptly and sometimes not at all. Had to call for 3 days before getting to speak with someone. Sometimes you get a fax machine tone when you call. Agents are very rude and unprofessional. I told Jim Dawson I was reporting them to the state and his response was "Go ahead, do what you have to, I will just re-butt the complaint when it comes in". So, I filed the complaint with PA State Insurance Dept., BBB and main website of that represents Erie. It was Erie's client that hit my daughters car causing massive damage including damage to her fuel tank which caused the fuel to leak. Erie's client caused the accident but my daughter is left with all the headaches and costly repairs that Erie refuses to cover. They are the rudest people I have ever dealt with and they don't deserve any stars but I was forced to pick 1 star in order to post this review. If it were allowed, I would post a million negative stars thats how upset I am with the customer service I have received.

This office doesn't even deserve 1 star. They are hands down the most incompetent group of people in the insurance business. They completely botch claims, don't care about their clients, and have some very questionable practices. Save yourself from a terrible experience and avoid this agency like the plague.

Having the displeasure of dealing with Erie Insurance agent Angela Johnson. The communication is horrible. It's bad enough having to deal with an accident without having to deal with further frustratiom. She also entered my address and info in wrong and sent my check to who knows where
