“We were traveling out of town for the holidays and my daughter became very sick on Christmas Eve and we needed medicine for her on Christmas Day. There were no pharmacies open, but my parents have been longtime customers of Sloan’s. We left an after hours message and our call was promptly returned. The pharmacist said he could go in and fill the prescription. You do not get service like that from the big box pharmacies! We are so grateful to this pharmacy and will forever support them when we are in the area!”
“We don't have Weis Markets in Central Ohio so when we come back to Lancaster County to visit family it's great to pick up some things we can't get. Utz sourdough pretzels, Tin Roof ice cream, etc. seems like a great store with excellent pricing. I wish there was one near me!”
“Pretty well stocked market. Super friendly staff. Good sales prices on fruits, vegetables and meats. Great prices for eggs too. Same layout as most of these older Weis markets with deli, baked goods, and some vegetables as you walk in.”
“This Weis is more in-line with the traditions that we recognize Weis for in the Susquehanna Valley. Clean store, decent inventory and actual cashiers. Sorry but I avoid most Weis Markets like a plague but this location we do like. I'd sooner drive to this one as opposed to shopping the closer one to our home in Columbia The competition is really making Weis look inferior on numerous levels unfortunately but this location is decent.”

“Excellent place to get your gasoline after shopping at the giant grocery store. Your gas savings can add up the more groceries you buy. Plus you can use gas buddy for seven cents off right now. I have used Giant gasoline for a number of years. You can even wipe your windows clean with the squeegees. they also have air available and you can use Apple Pay I believe it’s $1.50 for about three minutes. Never had a problem here.”
“The pharmacists are very helpful and always friendly. I think they enjoy having people come into the pharmacy, maybe because most orders are delivered. Great service for complex prescription lists. Feels like an old-fashioned pharmacy.
For refills, I always press '1' to speak to pharmacists directly because I have trouble entering the numbers correctly on my flip phone.
There are two 'Loading Zone' parking spots on Lime St. and more along Chestnut for picking up prescriptions, all right next to the pharmacy.”

Karen specifically called me the very next morning, when I had issues with a prescription not being sent to the pharmacy the day before. She called stating she had my meds ready for me and even told me what my copay would be.”

“Good deals, lots of sales, very clean, staff is friendly and helpful. Update/EDIT... Lately every trip I make here I always run into some type of issue at the cash register. Today I scanned a $300 cart of groceries only to find out their food stamp system was down and they did not have any signs up or anything to announce it. Other times I go in when things get wrong up the prices are usually wrong and sales don't get applied that should and if you don't catch it it's too late. Then you have to go to customer service to get your money back.”

“I have been going to this Weis for 35 yrs. Each yr actual cashiers became less and less. It's a very frustrating process when you have a full cart of groceries. Constantly hearing put back in bag, or wait for help. I went shopping this morning.Absolutely.No cashiers.One lady running around trying to help everybody who was cashing out. I left my full cart of baggage groceries because the machine kept telling me to wait for help which I did I waited and waited. I ended up leaving my full cart of groceries.I will never return.I'll go to a grocery store that hires cashiers.”
“Lovely, kind and wonderful staff. I once ran out of a much-needed sleep medication on a Sunday and was about to leave on trip. I called and left a message and an incredible staff member rushed in during their day off AND when the pharmacy was closed to refill my prescription for me. Can't recommend them enough!”
“My husband and I had Covid Shots at Rite Aid 11/10/23.The lady who administered the shot was so nice, and the shot did not hurt. She was so cheerful and made us forget we were going to get a shot. “The service I received recently from an associate & manager, is what prompted me to write this review.
The associate took the time to try to help me find a product, and when they couldn't, they didn't just say sorry we don't have it... They double checked with the manager, and because it was out of stock in their store, called another store to check for the product for me . This was a level of customer service that seemed to be long gone, but I truly appreciated it. Thank you for making my shopping experience so much better, and I definitely will be visiting your store again!”

“I made a quick stop to pick up a few groceries. And it was actually quick. I had 3 items, so I chose to do self check out. I made sure that the watermelon had a bar code before choosing the self checkout. HOWEVER, i still had to wait for assistance. I'm not sure why, but I did. The checkout person eventually came and did her thing without a single word, just like a machine. I miss the days of personal service. Now, if we're are to check out our own goods - then we shouldn't have to wait on an employee. Let's get this system of self-service working.”
“Yes, CVS is huge. Walgreens is enormous. Even so, when you need a speciality prescription or durable medical good, Sloan's Pharmacy is your place. My mom needed a very specific type of bandage. I knew I could get it for her at Sloan's. No, they didn't have it in stock - it was so specialized I didn't expect them to - but they ordered it that day and I had it three days later. They called me when it came in and had everything including my invoice pulled up so all I had to do was grab the box, sign my name and head on my way. A few weeks ago, my dad had an uncommon prescription. CVS pointed him to Sloan's who, of course, had it in stock and waiting for him by the time he walked to the counter. What I find fun at Sloan's is all of the candy - my old favorites, Mallow Cups and Beechnut gum were there as were other new and vintage candy, mints and gum. I could see myself getting into trouble if I had to wait too long for a script. Sloan's takes most insurance plans including my out of state plan. For durable medical goods, they will submit the claim for you and bill for the difference. They also offer delivery which I appreciate for my elderly parents. Every employee I interacted with was friendly and helpful. It was a nice change from that big box pharmacy down the road.”
