Wow, what a horrendous experience at this Family Dollar store. The place is filthy, and the employees are extremely rude to everyone. They **force** you to hand over your bag as soon as you enter, essentially accusing you of theft before you even start shopping. The shelves and fridges are stocked with expired products, posing a serious health risk.
This store is the epitome of low-class and disgusting. Do yourself a favor and **avoid shopping here at all costs**—your health and mental well-being are at risk. The cashiers are perpetually angry, agitated, and mean to customers, often yelling at them for no reason. It feels like an everyday occurrence at this store.
This establishment should be shut down immediately. It’s clear the manager is complicit in whatever shady activities are happening here. I believe the employees are stealing from the store and blaming it on the customers. Family Dollar, you need to clean up your act—starting with this store.

Friendly staff & decent prices BUT dollar tree down the street has a bunch of the same stuff for MUCH less; especially the frozen food section.

The staff is always a bit rude and act like they do not want to there. Also, the line is always very long at this location but there are some nice things there.

My husband stopped at Family Dollar in Mount Oliver for me today after work just to pick up a case of water and some laundry detergent. He grabbed the laundry detergent in the water real quick because he wanted to get home and got up to the register there was a young gentleman at the register that tried to charge my husband $24 for a case of water then a woman came up to see what was going on I don't know if it was a manager or not and instead of walking back to see how much the water cost per case she told my husband that they charge a dollar per bottle of water! Who in the right mind would pay $24 for a case of water! This woman does not do her job she was too lazy to walk back and check the price! I am a chef at Duquesne University and I would never ever treat my clients or patrons like this! They need a new manager or something!

Family Dollar used to have lower prices on certain items, however inflation has changed that. The store has a nice variety of merchandise for everyone in your family.

Welcome to the new America where businesses close a half hour early for no reason on a Saturday night. you lost like $50 in cash from me. I only go there now if I absolutely have to. They've been doing this frequently so don't even bother getting off your couch at 9pm to rush down before they close bc more than likely they're already closed.
