My husband and I are re-doing our bedroom and were finally able to set up our gorgeous new bed frame today! Well silly me didn’t realize that our new bed frame required a box spring, while our old one did not. ??♀️ I thought we were screwed and would have to sleep on the floor again for another few weeks. We each work 12+ hour shifts and couldn’t get to a store any time soon … I have to tell you, the most unexpected wonderful thing happened. I called The Original Mattress Factory in Mt. Lebanon at 6:45pm on a Wednesday evening desperate to see if we could get a box spring delivered sometime this week. I was SO lucky that it just so happened that Bill picked up the phone. He helped me purchase a box spring over the phone and decided to drop it offat our home PERSONALLY just an hour and a half later! Omg! He is such a thoughtful sweet human being and we could not thank him enough! He saved us so many headaches and backaches… please give this man a raise.

Working with the Original Mattress Factory has been an absolute nightmare.Update.The response from corporate is just standard talking points that amount to nonsense. The claim to be committed to working me is a lie. They made quite clear the only thing they're willing to do is waste my time and play games only to end on the same result which is I'm out 2,000 dollars and stuck with a mattress that I hate and cannot use.If they truly believe the mattress they sent me is identical to the one in the showroom I'll make them an offer I'll get a truck and bring my mattress to the store and they can swap it for the floor model. I am willing to bet they won't sell nearly as many of them using the piece of junk delivered to me as a floor model.The inspection is meaningless if it is not inspected alongside the show room model. Stand by your product and do a return, charge a restocking fee if you must. I am not the first customer you've had to complain regarding this same issue.I purchased a mattress from The Original Mattress Factory 1606 Washington Road Mt Lebanon PA 15228 on 5/28/22 total purchase price $1,959 Orthopedic Hybrid set. The product that was delivered to my home does not “feel” like the product displayed in the showroom. Admittedly there is a degree of subjectivity in determining how a mattress feel. However, these two mattresses are very dissimilar one was plush while still providing support the one delivered to the home is essentially a brick with some sort of padding tossed on. Feeling is somewhat subjective but if these two products truly were identical in every respect, they should at least feel similar. I would add that I went shopping with a family member who has tried both mattresses and independently came to the same conclusion, that they did not feel the same and that the one delivered was far firmer than the other. Had the showroom mattress felt like the one that was delivered I would not have even considered purchasing it.When I spoke to Chris (presumably the same Chris replying to complaints at BBB) via phone to voice my concerns, he was adamant that I would not be receiving any refund. He offered to send a service manager out to inspect the mattress to ensure it was up to specifications (the earliest appointment they had was two weeks away). If the service manager is unable to resolve the issue, I have the option of coming to a factory and watching them disassemble my mattress to demonstrate how it meets specifications the fact that the suggestion was made without any acknowledgement of the absurdity in asking a customer to take a day off of work to come watch them take apart a mattress is beyond me.. Alternatively, I can exchange the product in accordance with the company’s 365 day comfort guarantee, for a 25% fee based off the cost of the mattress exchanged which would essentially mean that the cost of my mattress plus an additional 25% to receive a different product. That this company believes that this is any kind of guarantee is beyond me. I imagine in their reply to this complaint the company will point out how they dotted there Ts and crossed their I’s, and admittedly I did sign saying the mattress was in good condition upon delivery based on a visual inspection of the product (not that I am any expert), and there is likely no legal recourse (again no expert) However, I feel others should know what there getting into when they deal with The Original Mattress Factory. If the customer is dissatisfied with the product delivered there is no recourse beyond giving the company that wronged, you in the first place more money.

Warning to check the mattress sizes and box spring sizes before you finalize the order AT THE STORE because they can differ from the showroom display. If you realize it as it is delivered it is too late, there are no returns. Bought a twin - it was great height in the showroom but after delivered and set up way too high for an elderly woman with bad knees. Called store immediately but the only option was to buy a lesser box spring for an additional cost. No returns or exchanges-not for any reason. And it is s true, that disclaimer as well as height of the mattress is on the receipt - so its buyer responsibility to make sure what you tested on the display set up is same that is written up by sales team. There is nothing the store is willing to do about this situation. Don't want this to happen to anyone else - check and double-check it!

In this place I was able to find a double-sided mattress that can be used on both sides and for that reason they give more years of guarantee I thought it would cost me more but on the contrary, even the price is cheaper than the competition. The attention came from Mr. John, excellent and I am very happy with the purchase that I made of my new double-sided mattress and I highly recommend it to everyone

I had been putting off buying my son a twin mattress for over six months. During that time we had moved twice. I had bought mattresses before but it's always a complicated process. I was so grateful he made it easy for me to pick one. It was a no muss no fuss deal. We were able to throw it in the back of my mini van and be on our way. I also made a second purchase of a Queen split box spring. They ordered it and as soon as it was in the store, I came by and picked it up. Both times the service was very friendly and professional. I was able to pick up the item without delivery but they do offer that as well. I felt their prices were reasonable. I was given the best deal possible and if I wanted to upgrade or chose a lesser quality item that was okay too. They made it simple and I appreciated that because life is too complicated as it is. Thanks OMF! You took the stress out of shopping and I'm very happy with both products!

Great experience. The sales person was knowledgeable and not pushy. You have to check them out before making a decision on a mattress. The prices are fair, no sales ever. You are get a matress made here in Pittsburgh not some unknown place. You are getting a matress made now not 6 months ago not a year ago. The quality is amazing. Definitely recommend.

The staff was incredibly helpful. And since they’re not on commission, you don’t feel like they’re pressuring you. They helped me find the best mattress set, of the same quality than other competitors, but for a thousand dollars less.
