This place is a fitting, keystone recreational facility for the "Mt Lebo" community. Prices to skate are to be expected, and the cost of snacks at the stand are extremely reasonable. Whether going for open public skating sessions or to watch a hockey game, the facility is clean, inviting, bright, and feels covid-safe enough (masks required). Check it out for yourself! :)

Hottest rink ever in the summer but the ice is in great shape.Enjoy the adult league but amenities are not great. 4 weeks with no hot water. Doors to the locker rooms are really narrow and the handles are impossible if you have hockey gloves on.

Sandy that registers the seniors for their monthly event is an exceptional lady. She makes a great appearance (nice hair style) and is great with the seniors including my 90 year old mom.

We're visiting from out of town and we came here to watch our son play in an adult hockey league. The arena is well lit and there is plenty of seating to watch from. There are restrooms available and a variety of vending machines if you get hungry or thirsty.

Disclaimer: this review is from the perspective of a parent of a youth amateur hockey player. Mt. Lebanon has a nice rink. The seating is stadium seating, made of concrete. There is a large area at the top where you can stand and watch. The concrete keeps the noise of the small kids running at a minimum. This rink also has a snack bar with hot food and freshly brewed hot coffee. They have a pro-shop, but it is usually closed. Looking through the windows, it appears to be primarily for figure skating so maybe it is open during figure skating events. They also have a skate sharpening machine in the lobby area near the skate rental. Supposedly someone is on-site who could sharpen your skates in a pinch. The parking can be a bit tight out front, especially during a tournament. Speaking of tournaments, there is plenty of room in the lobby to wait for game time and plenty of room inside the rink to watch the game, even if it isn't your team that is on the ice. However, there is only one sheet of ice so quite likely if you have a tournament here your other games are going to be at another local rink such as Ice Castle or Blade Runners. This rink also has a small "studio" rink. This is a good size for clinics. I gave this rink 4 stars. I think it is a good rink for ice hockey, both regular season amateur games and for tournament games.

If you're interested in the public skate session, make sure to check that it's being held on the big rink - we made the mistake of coming on a Saturday the first time, and it was held on a ridiculously tiny rink so small as to force a perpetual turning motion. On our second try, we came on Sunday, and it was insanely full of kids with lax parental supervision. The rink seems to be poorly managed -- they never bothered to flip the skating direction (most rinks flip half way through), they didn't have a Zamboni intermission, and they didn't stop kids from skating in every possible direction, throwing their hockey gloves in front of unsuspecting adults, etc.. It was kind of a free for all. On one end of the rink, adults were conducting hockey drills for kids (bad idea during public skate), and kids were using hockey pucks in the main skating area. Good luck not tripping. Summary -- great if you're a kid, but stay away if you're an adult. Next time we'll try the adult only session.
