Do not use them! They didnt do the rapid refund as asked, then when i went back to question was lied to. Call corporate and still have not received a call back 4 days later. When i talked to people at their corporate on initial call was told one thing, called back next day was told another thing and that i would receive a call back did not. Called my tax office left a message 2 days later nothing again! You pay almost 400 for nothing

I would honestly give this zero stars if I could. As I start to get my tax documents together for this year I was reminded about my absolutely horrible experience here last year.It was my first time filing my taxes for myself so I made an appointment online to come into the building and discuss everything with an accountant but when I came into the building at my appointment time I had what seems like a similar experience as others in the reviews. I was greeted with a “what are you doing here” while holding a folder of paperwork I said I had made an appointment online to meet with a tax professional. I never did get to sit down with anyone but I was loudly asked about my personal information in the front of the building and around other customers.The front desk lady was rude, crude, and unprofessional. She seems to get joy out of being unnecessarily mean to paying customers.I had the privilege of running into her once again when I got a call that said I needed to come pick up my documents in the next week if I wanted to get them back. I went in three days later when i could get out of work early to go grab them before they closed. When I gave her my name to grab the paperwork out of a huge cardboard box in the front of the store (seems really great to just throw a bunch of peoples confidential documents together) she replied without even giving me my stuff that she had called days ago, like this information was somehow relevant. I simply said “and I am here today, please give me my documents.” I snatched my paperwork and walked out the door. I hope to never have the pleasure again and will definitely be doing my own taxes this year, it will save me my sanity and several hundred dollars. I strongly encourage you to not use this establishment, it is not worth it.

When I walked into H&R Block with a 12pm appointment and my folder of tax documents, I never expected to encounter a woman like Joyce. She had short grey hair and was looking for a fight the moment I said "Hello, I have an appointment." She peered angrily over her glasses and said "What are you talking about? An appointment for what?!" I told her I made an appointment online to meet with a tax expert, as this was my first time filing on my own. She told me she had no idea what I was talking about, and asked me why I was here. I said to file my taxes. She said "I don't know what you mean," getting increasingly angrier. She started asking me personal questions about my financial/marital situation in front of another customer. I felt extremely awkward and wanted to discuss these matters in private, not with the Queen of the Karens who I'd only just met.
I never ended up being seen by a tax professional that day, and I left pondering the type of universe I had just encountered: Apparently, a universe in which a tax preparation business doesn't understand why you might possibly be showing up to do your taxes.
The next day, I decided I didn't need Joyce in my life anymore, so I filed online instead.

The only reason I’m giving a 1 star is because the man that prepared my taxes was nice. They overcharge paid over $450 for filing single and one dependent! Charged $39 for direct deposit because they push their cards on you! Was promised 2 weeks for funds to be in my account and has now been over 6 weeks! Never use them again!

Just like some of the other reviews I’ve also experienced being blindsided months later with a bill from the state for not accurately reporting our income. This month we receive another notice that we never filed local taxes, either.

Great experience at H&R Block in Mount Joy PA. I highly recommend H Robert Kuehfus and plan to use him every year from now on.

Ask for Bob! He is wonderful. My husband has been going to him and refuses to work with anyone else. We’re now working with him together and everything went smooth, he answered every question and made it feel like it was more than just a job to him. I will never not file with him. Bob, you’re a wonderful person and your personality shines!
