“We love this small town, homey store. You walk in to a delicious smelling experience. I literally can go into this little country store and immediately am transported into a magical realm where I want to taste everything. Lots of baked goods to look at smell and contemplate buying. In fairness my children walk out with whoppie pies 95% of the time and by children I mean my 17 and 21 year old children. It invokes the feeling of warmth and home, if my home ever smelled like a delicious bakery, which it doesn't. Sometimes feels a little pricey but there are things that I like to buy here like cheeses, fruits, and baked goods.”
“I visited that place a lot for little things mostly my meats and cheeses at their Deli stand . homemade baked goods cookies cakes casseroles macaroni salad potato salad Etc.”
“Hey Elaine try asking for chipped lunch meat, having worked in a deli, you can only go so thin, and slice it, only other option is chipped if you like it paper thin.”
“On our travels through the area last year, we stopped here and my girlfriend's daughter went bananas with all the stuff here. She spent a vast majority of her Christmas money here and she raves about this place. With them not being from the area she always ask when she's able to come back and get more stuff LOL the staff were very friendly and pleasant and made us feel very welcome.”
“I first bought from Kegel’s in 1975 for the Rextaurant on King St. Now I am buying for Gypsy Kitchen. Why try somewhere else? Great quality, great service at a great price.”
“Great prices and very clean. Giving 4 stars because one of the times I’ve been here there was a dog in the store lunging and barking at a lot of people me included. I told one of the employees about it and they said since he had a service dog vest they couldn’t do anything (not true if it’s causing a disturbance such as barking and lunging you have every right to ask the person to leave) but overall great store”
“Went for breakfast with Santa over the weekend and had a great time. My kids are 2 and 5 and there were a lot of activities around the farm to keep them busy. Also the staff were very nice, I would recommend visiting here!”
“This is a MUST stop whenever you go to Mount Joy. (or ROOTS, {rhymes with foots, not boots} on Tuesdays. Great choice of meat, chicken, and pork. The Apple Maple sausage is perfect for a Sunday brunch. I don't want to talk about the Chicken Cordon Blue, because, everybody will love it and they won't have any left when I go there. Check out their cheese spreads, too. Most important of all.... everyone who works behind the counter, treats you like an old friend and they are always happy. Must be a great place to work.”
