Pros: a truly excellent selection of finely curated contemporary clothes, shoes, and accessories in excellent condition. A lot of new items. Books (largely pulp) to one end of the shop. Very nice accessories at good prices.Cons: Not the place to go if you are looking for a relaxing browsing experience with fun finds and great deals. The prices are fairly high, around 60-70% of retail. Staff sometimes give off a snobby judgemental vibe, which is really unfortunate especially in conjuction with the piped-in evangelical music.

I was looking for play clothes for my grand children. They have many kids items but you have to check the prices. Some items you can buy new for the price they are charge.

Brought in a huge bag of boys clothing, brand new jeans from old navy and children’s place that have never been worn, in excellent condition as they will say, gave me $3 for 2 dress shirts and a hoodie!?! Wouldn’t take the BRAND NEW clothes/ jeans? This place is a joke. Don’t even waste your time! Will never go there again.None of the jeans I gave you had stains or wear because they were never worn! Nice try with your fancy LED light. So yes this is an accurate post, because you ripped me off. I should have taken back the clothes and been done with it. I want to publicly announce that your store rips people off. So I’m not sorry about making sure people are aware of your scam!

Barely Used Resale Boutique stays on trend, with its clothing and shoe styles. Today, the displays had seasonal fun clothing for the holidays, like St. Patrick's Day and Easter. A clean shop with helpful, friendly staff. I always seem to buy something that I wasn't expecting to find!

Unfortunately, Barely Used changed since it’s switched ownership a few years ago. It’s very unfortunate that many people I know who loved this store since it’s opening many years ago, no longer shop at this store. I was offered $0.50 for items I was getting $2-$3 for with the original owner. I actually had a conversation with the new owner about how they price because a lot of my items were namebrand with tags. The owner said that they take on all the risks so that’s why they give so little. What she didn’t realize was that I had a Consignment shop years ago. I know that items that don’t sell, you can write off in your taxes. For instance, they gave me $.50 for a brand new scarf that still had tags on it. I knew I was going to take whatever cash was available because my next stop was the donation bin. I already let everyone I knew look through the bins before I even brought them to Barely Used. That same scarf they gave me $.50 for, they had marked $16.99! So if you are giving 20% of what you sell an item for, I should’ve been offered $2.38 for it or at the very least $2. Even a dollar would’ve been less of an insult. I pointed out there’s just about no risk when you basically stay around 30-50% off your items during a sale. 50% would’ve been $8.50…75% would be around $4.25. If she couldn’t sell it for 75% off, she could save it for the following season or it’s a tax write off. There’s a lot more that hasn’t sat well with me and that’s why I stopped shopping there. They started giving a lot less money, and the prices went up significantly. If you google “consignment shops that give cash for your items in Lancaster, PA”, a list should come up. There are several out there, but I found 2 that are pretty fair and honest which keep’s customers coming back, as well as provides them with the best advertising around…word of mouth.Hope this helps!

Prices are pretty high, specifically a few items that seem to have been cheaper purchasing new at the store. All items I got were good quality and the books were in like-new condition
