“The owner was very gracious and helpful with my girlfriend in clearing up false accusations from a couple of characters trying to use his good name and reputation to their benefit.”
“We were having trouble with our 1985 vintage campervan and we took it to other multiple shops to try and get it repaired. All of them said they were too inexperienced to work on older vehicles or just didn’t care to help. We had known about Jay before because my husband had a transmission replaced on his box truck for our business there a few weeks ago. He’s very out of the way from where we were, but we went anyway. Before we brought the vehicle his shop, he spent hours on the phone conversing with us, laughing, joking, but in all seriousness trying to see what’s going on with our van so when we arrived he would be able to do everything as quickly as possible. It was having a very rough idle in park in neutral, the battery kept draining, the vehicle kept vibrating at high speeds, the oil pressure gauge was broken, the spark plugs needed to be changed, power steering was off, and it the entire engine shut off on us a few times while driving. Jay took an ENTIRE Friday aside to fix all of these issues for us. He brought it into his shop when they opened and we drove it off the garage nearly 10 hours later. While at the shop, he was hospitable (offered us own food and water) and he talked with us the entire time explaining how the vehicle works. The entire day was honestly fun. His associate Preston is also very knowledgeable on vehicles as well and does a great job assisting Jay. This is the kind of mechanic where taking a 3 hour detour to get your vehicle worked on by him is worth it.”
“I was driving a long haul from NJ to Toronto, and sensed one of the wheels being funny.
Trygar’s was a pure coincidence out of urgency necessity. Despite having 40 calls in the morning and appointments lined up in the afternoon, Earl generously hopped on the car for a test drive, and had a guy check it to make sure it’s safe. In the end when I asked how much, he said “don’t worry about it. Safe drive!” ? A true gentleman and smart businessman!”
