No one goes unnoticed. Being around KPA for some time, it is awesome to see the growth and watch Kal’s clients surpass their goals.He has worked assiduously with local athletes to exceed their goals of playing their respective sport at the NCAA level or higher (MLB & NFL players both current & alumni included, I’m sure I’m missing other sports) and the list is ever-growing. Tennis, bowling, soccer, gymnastics, body building, you name it, he will get you to the next level.If training comes up in conversation, my first and only recommendation is to train at KPA. “Love this Planet Fitness! Spotless and the location is perfect. However it does have all the issues consistent with every and all PF’s Awesome and friendly staff but disengaged. Instead of commiserating in a purple patch behind the counter hit the floors and enforce the policies you post. No cellphone conversations yet there are. No bags on floor yet there are bags, No playing music from phones yet they do. Then you have the normal disrespect like playing on phones while your waiting in line for a machine. Clowns taking video of their workouts, not reracking weights, not cleaning their sweat after use ect.. But by far the most common and biggest issue for me which again has been consistent across every PF is the personal and improper use of the 30 min workout or 12 min ab section as their own personal gym and not following the circuit. I gave up every using them to avoid issues. The sign says “monitored by staff” but nothing about enforcement of policy.”

“If you’re looking for a CrossFit gym then you’ve come to the right place. I’ve been in and out of CrossFit since 2011 and have worked out all over the world. I can honestly say that this is the best and most technically proficient gym I’ve been to with the friendliest atmosphere.Classes are extremely organized and you can tell all the coaches have the right training and take their job very seriously. The atmosphere isn’t as competitive as a traditional CrossFit gym which is completely fine and works extremely well. It’s really health and fitness over competition.You can tell Matt the owner cares a lot about your individual experience. He spends lot of time making sure things are running smoothly and that everyone feels appreciated and taken care of.Again, I highly recommend CrossFit Newtown. You won’t be disappointed joining one bit.”

“Despite not liking loud music, group settings, and what could be seen as a chaotic rotation of equipment, I actually ended up loving Orangetheory. The trainers were fun. They really did try and engage you the moment you walked in, and I felt welcomed. I gave it 3 months, maybe 4, and stopped because I honestly didn't lose any weight. Maybe I gained muscle, I don't know. I didn't see a noticeable change and couldn't justify the money.If I could change one thing... i wish you could reserve your spot # on the app. It was a challenge at times getting there in enough time to get a spot where I could see the TV so I knew what to do. I don't wear contacts - perhaps I should as it would have solved my problem.Thank you for the fun time!”

Jason is very knowledgable, the gym is clean with great quality equipment, and everyone is friendly and personable. “I started doing kickboxing back up in November 2022, I was only doing 2-3 classes a week but I immediately started to notice my arms getting toned. I was surprised because I have joined so many workout groups prior to this including running a treadmill, weight training but the results were not as obvious as this. What I like about it is a good mix of cardio, resistance, toning and ab workout without necessarily lifting any weight. I have lost 5 inch of my waste, 2 inches from my hips, 10 ilbs of body fat and gained almost 8 ilbs of muscle. The key is to be patient with the classes and take the class seriously with the strikes when possible. I am now doing it 4 to 6 times a week. It's my medicine.”

“I came to Burn after seeing a random posting on social media. I came in for a one week trial and signed up before my third camp. The tough part for me and with my work schedule is programming a workout and then I used to just do 30-60 minutes of random cardio.This gym programs the workouts and I get more results in 45 minutes than spending 2+ hours in a random gym. Coming to this gym is something I look forward to each day and the trainers, management and the community is the best and then some. The whole team welcomes you and supports you.”

“I’ve tried exercise classes everywhere, including my local YMCA, martial arts dojos, a place called I Love Kickboxing (I don’t know if they’re still around), but I could never get myself motivated enough to continue going after the first week or two (begrudgingly).Since the COVID pandemic, I’ve been working from home so I’ve become very sedentary and decided that I need to do something more than just walk my dog. I saw an ad for CKO’s 16 week challenge and decided to go to the introductory meeting to hear how they’re going to be different. During the meeting, I heard things that other places promised to deliver like a “fun” experience and all that. I was still skeptical that I would continue, but I signed up anyway. I told the instructor and the others that were there, that I am motivated now, but there’s no guarantee that I would still be motivated next week and that I’m the type of person who needs somebody to come to my house and drag me to classes or threaten to steal my catalytic converter if I don’t go, because I’m so bad with committing to these things. One of the other prospective participants offered to scoop me up on the way to class but we lived in opposite directions, so it was all on me.I went to the first class and it was tough. I’m in my early 50s, overweight, and extremely out of shape, but I got through it and I loved it! I returned for a second class and enjoyed it as well! Third class was also very good/exhausting. I found that each instructor has their own style, but they all get you moving and keep you motivated throughout. Now, I’ve realized that the more classes I go to, the easier they get and the more excited I am to continue. It’s really very strange for me to feel this way about exercising because I’ve always hated it and always talked myself out of it, but something about the feeling of punching and kicking that bag is exhilarating! It’s exhausting for sure, but it’s great because they work out every part of your body. You’re not running around the perimeter of the gym to strengthen your legs and get your heart rate up, you’re boxing and kicking and standing in ways that make it more fun than just jogging or running. The stretching, planks and other activities strengthen your core and other muscles, so you truly get that whole body workout without getting bored!”

Routines are varied , balanced, and include cardio, core, and strength training, with a focus of heart rate, breathing, and a final stretch. “If you’re looking for a gym, look no further. I have been going to this gym for 3 years now. The classes are awesome. I have been doing personal training for 1-1/2 years now & that just elevated my fitness journey. I am at the lowest weight I’ve been in years, but not only that, I feel better than ever. I have done personal training with Atom & Amy, & they are the best, very knowledgeable. They have helped in everything, including my performance after my knee replacement. I have done classes with all the trainers, and they are all great. Each of the trainers will go out of their way to help you with any fitness goal you have. To add to the great trainers, the other gym members encourage & inspire you. I look forward to my workouts, & it never feels like a chore to go to the gym. “The best gym environment ever! This gym is small, but has everything you need and more. I can’t say enough about it. The tanning beds have very strong bulbs and i’ve always had the best results from them, bathrooms are always kept very clean, all equipment works perfectly, and the staff are amazing. Being at this gym is very comforting especially when Jess is there! She is seriously the sweetest most genuine person i’ve ever met, and she works very hard for this gym. If you’re thinking about signing up for a gym this is the one for sure!!”

“Remede and it's coaches is def a different type of gym. It's a gym of all ages, shapes and sizes. Men and women working together for their own goals. The coaches CORRECT your form and work with you. They modify for you if you have any issues. The gym and people are welcoming! It's the type of gym that doesn't look for your wallet first! They all care about you and your goals no matter what they are. They motivate and push you to what you can do. I'm almost 50 and I know I do t compete with the 20+ year olds. The difference is we work together and there is no place like this. Don't get me wrong the classes are great and challenging. Strength class and Yoga are amazing as well. “I started training at this gym on a complete whim. My husband had been programmed by Brian Reed for a few months at this point and I was starting to get jealous of his new hobby lol. I was intimidated by weight lifting and everything I thought I knew about the kind of people who train this way. I was completely wrong of course. Everyone at VIP is so helpful and genuinely there to better themselves and the people around them. I have lost weight, gained confidence and found out a lot about myself in the process. Brian has the experience and the degrees to back up everything he implements there. Emily goes out of her way to help keep you on track and showing up for yourself. I have always felt safe and valued at VIP Barbell and as a plus size person that says a lot.”
