I received an estimate for moving and storage which I found to be reasonable. Because of that I went with this company. However, after purging many things from my belongings - thinking I would possibly be below or within the estimate I found that not only were moving/packing costs above the estimate, a free month of storage which was promised and storage fees all changed. The moving packing/moving costs escalated, the extra month of free storage was removed and storage fees ended up being hundreds more. They packed things to cost more in packing materials, labor in packing and also to cost more in storage area. I would have second thoughts about using these people based upon my experience.

READ THE OTHER RECENT REVIEWS AND BEWARE OF USING JENSEN MOVERS! UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, AND DECEPTIVE! WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE!!! If you'd like a detailed account of our experience, please keep reading below. The actual moving crew was fantastic but the admin/operations team running Jensen movers are awful. They severely underquoted our move even though they explicitly told my husband that they are usually within 5% of their estimates, and they completed a thorough walk through of entire home including our attic and basement crawl spaces, as well as our shed. When it comes to moving, you want to choose a company that is honest, is fair, and is transparent. Based on other reviews, it would seem our experience is not unique. Here's our experience: Estimate: $5,950.18 Actually Billed: $8,330.86 + $500 deposit = $8,830.86 We would've been happy to pay our bill without question had it been accurately quoted. But you can imagine our surprise when we're told the company is usually within 5% of their estimate and the invoice was 48% more than the estimate. When we questioned this on the phone prior to paying the bill, Nick P. said he didn't know how the estimate could be so far off, but that we needed to pay our bill in full or else the movers couldn't get paid (however, as a business owner I know that there are more operating expenses than just the employee's pay built into the local move hourly rate). We were told if we didn't pay, that he would instruct the movers to leave with our belongings. The movers also told my husband they were instructed to stop working until we paid the invoice. So we had no choice but to pay our bill at that time. No apology was offered either by Nick P. - just you need to pay or the movers need to quit the job. Very disappointing and awful customer service. Nonetheless, we were told we needed to pay in full and we could submit a refund form. To no one's surprise, they refused our refund. I've attached pictures of our submission for our refund request and Jensen Movers reply if you'd like to read those in depth. Their argument was that my husband was asking for more people and more boxes because not everything would fit in what they brought. AND THAT IS THE ISSUE! They did a COMPLETE walkthrough of our home and saw all of what needed to be moved, which included the wardrobe that they identified in their response to us. At the walkthrough, the Jensen movers representative told us it was no problem to move that for us. Even with doing a complete walkthrough, they came completely unprepared for the move. Not enough man power, not enough boxes, not enough trucks. So we got hit with a surprise final invoice because this company was not able to accurately estimate what was needed for our move and what it would cost us. Again, I have no problem paying for a job. My problem lies with the company severely misquoting us (after boasting about how accurate they usually are), and then providing horrendous customer service when we were voicing our concerns/distress with the much higher invoice total. Overall it was a terrible experience for us using Jensen Movers. ZERO STARS!

I used Jensen for a move from philly to Boston this week. There are so many movers , I was apprehensive , Nick priced the job and he presented very professionally. Very much to the point. The guys came on schedule , 3 guys to pack , 5 guys to pack up. They stored for a week and delivered on schedule on the day to day. 2 of the guys were on both sides. Robert & Colin - they are really nice folk ( and hard working ). Everything came , not a scratch. I compliment the whole team. Great bunch. Thomas.

Yet they (Jensen) discredits my review because of "incorrect information". I took responsibility for my initial post and revised it to include the credit they insisted I didn't highlight. Why wait for a customer to complain about a drastic increase? What if I was naive enough to accept the $1200 increase? Do you have a customer satisfaction policy? Is it in any of your policies to not reach out to customers regarding a large difference in their estimate vs actual price? Probably not, seeing as you don't mind increasing your loyal customers monthly rate to compensate for lack of business.No, their assumptions on the explanation of facts are not acceptable.There's no doubt they know I'm an actual account holder of theirs. When I called on Monday to speak to someone regarding my account. No one was available because they were in a meeting reviewing my account records. When I asked why they responded, "well because of the review I posted".Check Yelp reviews, seems as though I'm not the first...years later and still pissed about thisyup still pissed in 2022And in 2023

Also, we submitted a claim for damaged items. I think Jensen didn't know how to handle the truth and was upset with my honest reviews, that they denied our claim (see attached).Jensen responded to one of my reviews unprofessionally. Take that as a RED FLAG and find yourself a reputable mover.

CUSTOMER BEWARE - Don't make the same mistake we did! READ THE REVIEWS!Nick arrived at our home to give an estimate, walked around our home and gave a written and signed estimate explaining that this would be the highest amount we would pay however, it would probably be less. LESS??!!!!! We paid close to $3,000 more than the signed estimate!Our move was scheduled for June 24, 2023. Jensen called us a few weeks before our scheduled delivery into our new home and Megan (who is extremely rude) told us that the price had increased due to "summer hours" and "weekend rates that increased". We were so shocked! Megan mentioned that if we didn't pay, we wouldn't receive our house full of items. Jensen explained how they were allowed to do the increase according to the "laws" however, they couldn't back it up with the documentation that we requested. We asked Jensen to email us the so-called laws that they spoke of, and we never received them after asking many times. My husband and I called repeatedly and was never given a reasonable explanation as to why they increased the price so drastically. We left numerous voicemails for Nick (part owner of Jensen) and he never called back!I honestly think Jensen knows what they're doing and like to scam customers. Their employees are well trained on what to say however, it makes no sense. They just mention that if they don't receive their money, we would not receive our items.I'm sure Jensen will respond to this review with some jibber jabber, but this was our horrible experience.

It is difficult to give Jensen ANY stars - working with them was an absolutely horrible experience. We have moved around the country several times and NEVER had such a bad time with a moving company. Their estimate was higher than others, yet we selected them because they were supposedly a long-time family owned business that cares about its customers. Nothing could be further from the truth.We moved from Doylestown to Charleston where we built a house. Originally we were going to send some things to both Charleston and Colorado, but that wasn't necessary so we were able to send everything to South Carolina - even though they were suppposed to have separated our belongings into shipments for two locations. That was a joke!!!!!They lost stuff, broke stuff, sent our belongings in two shipments to Charleston and because one truck came in May and the other in June 2022 (they said they were short a driver) we were charged for June storage - which, by the way, was way higher monthly than the estimate!!! (quoted $1950/month, charged $2400/month, automatic withdrawal, the only way they would work). Right up front we had told them we weren't sure how long we would have our things in storage. Once we got a move-in date from the builder, we contacted Jensen and they said they would send things in two truckloads, one to "hold us over" until everything could be dellvered. In the first shipment we received a hodge podge - no chairs, one kitchen table with no legs, a mattress with no bed, no dishes or cooking utensils, etc. It was quite a challenge trying to move into a new home for the weeks we waited. Now, after getting settles and assessing the situation, we have been trying to reach a settlement. I'm supposed to know the inventory number of each item that was destroyed, have receipts for family heirlooms that were broken, as well as receipts for a dog grooming table and 84" television that are missing. Pictures aren't enough. They obviously don't want to give us any satisfaction and don't appreciate their customers. To be honest, I have no idea how they are still in business.They have a brochure that says they're a caring family business and that is not the case. They have shown no concern for our situation and have made it clear they will not offer any compensation for the lost and damaged items, inconvenience of not having beds, chairs, kitchen items, etc., and being treated rudely, making the moving process stressful and most upsetting. I would never ever recommend this company to anyone!!!!!

Jensen moved us out of our 3 story townhome (not an easy task given the layout) and into our new construction single family home. Both the scheduling process and estimate meeting were a breeze and straightforward. We were very concerned with damage being done to our brand new home but Jensen assured us that they would take the best care possible during our move, and they did just that! The crews on both occasions were friendly, careful, and an overall pleasure to work with! We would absolutely use them again. Thank you Jensen Family!

We just did a big move with Jensen this past weekend and they were exceptional! The team that was sent, the office communication, and the care put into making sure our belongings and our homes stayed as pristine as possible was above and beyond anything we could have asked for. Highly recommend!!
