4/13/24 Good Will in my opinion is usually much higher priced than Liberty Thrift. I made out here on my impromptu shopping trip. I'm always in search of toys for my baby grand daughter and I scored big!! A Dyson play vacuum that has batteries that works! Parachute, magna doodle- new kite- Beatrix Potter Jack in the box- sooo cute!! Those are just a few awesome things I found here. The store had excellent children's toys and lots of interesting items. I was super pleased with the organization and cleanliness of the store it was a terrific and fruitful experience! Next to goodwill is the goodwill outlet. Never have I ever. . . Known this even existed?! The price is per pound. 1.89. Found a great pair of exotic shoes but they were too small for my big clodhoppers. Oh well. The area is bins of stuff you can paw through- be ready to dedicate a lot of time if u are interested. I prefer the more organized store. I would RUN back!

As far as thrift stores go when you walk in this one, there is a fragrance in the air, which is a complete pleasure compared to the many thrift stores where it just smells like dust, dirt, & mold. The store is very organized and seems to be clean. I enjoy shopping here very much. More often than not I leave the store with my hands full.

This review is only for "the bins" on the outlet side. I resell clothing as a hobby/side hustle, and I thought this bins had a good to great mix of pieces. It was my first time at an outlet store, and I found the clientele was not cutthroat as most resellers characterize people at these places. There may have been one hardcore group there waiting for the bins to turnover, but they weren't pushy people. There also wasn't anyone working there acting like a drill sergeant about the bins. It felt like we were all adults and knew to take turns at the bins and give the worker space. Everyone was very cordial and the staff person, Karen, was very helpful when we were ready to checkout. The value is great considering the inflation of Goodwill prices. I got about 7 items (one being a thick wool jacket) for around $12. It's a great alternative to shopping on the store side and paying more, but you do have to be willing to dig and maybe plan to stay awhile. We went on the best day. The weather was warm and sunny for December.I would definitely return. It felt like quite a journey from West Philly, but was worth the change of scenery in my thrifting jaunts.

Very overpriced clothes for a thrift store. Many shirts are $7.99 or more. The outlet center part of the store is reasonable.

****This review is only applicable to the Goodwill store**** I took my kids here on 9/1/2023 to buy some baby clothes, kids clothes and women’s shirts. I found most women’s shirts priced at $8.99, including worn t-shirts. IMO that is very expensive for a charitable store; seems like a cash grab since Goodwill’s CEO earns over 1 million dollars per year. I may return to this Goodwill store when prices decrease.

I have only the best to say about Goodwill in Montgomeryville. This morning I accidentally donated my daughters summer clothes. I came back later in the afternoon after realizing my mistake, and was met with the warmest, most caring employees one could imagine. The manager Mita (sp.) and other employees were unbelievably considerate and helpful to help me correct my mistake. Thank you Goodwill. I look forward to continuing to donate to your location with pride (I will make sure I bring the right stuff next time :) )

Love the outlet - thrill of the hunt for clothes. Bins for households and shoes were really junky though - lots of ripped books, broken toys, mateless shoes, etc. I was there for over an hour and never saw any bins switched out. Also, there was trash in some bins - like food wrappers. Def need to be cleaned out.The Goodwill "reg" was ok. Prices seemed high and really didn't like the n/a on tags. I was glad it was grouped by general size and dressing rooms open. Overall, it was big and clean.

They wont let you buy things without a tag, but half the items in the store are tagless. They wouldn't let me buy a tagless cardigan so I went to look for another, and only found 2 more also without tags. There was also a family in line next to me that were denied buying a stuffed animal their little boy picked out because it didn't have a tag, like really? A beat up beanie baby worth less than $3 that is now probably just going to end up in a landfill instead? They only care about making money, not recycling or reducing waste. Also, one of the items I bought for *$10* wound up having a massive hole in it.

Normal goodwill. Good prices on som stuff. Others high. Employees are a bit incompetent, but overall decent store.

Decent selection but a lot of Primark/H&M/Store brand type stuff. $6 for used jeans that retailed for like $10 for example is not a good price to value proposition

Spend any amount of time around the online thrifting communities and you will begin to hear stories of "the bins".Stories of terror. Stories of awe. Where the thrifter emerges victorious. Where they leave with nothing at all. You begin to wonder what it's all about. Where are these sacred places? Why are trips planned to them? Then you learn. The "Bins" are Goodwill Outlet Centers. They are the last stop for donated goods that either weren't sold at their "regular" thrift stores, or were sent from sorting warehouses direct. They are Goodwill's siren song for the trash picking, dumpster diving hardcore thrifters. I have made the Pilgrimage, and I am...hooked. This location is about 45 minutes from me. My first time it was at the urging of another die hard thrifter. It was...fun. The Bins all have the same general format. Piles of items are heaped onto large rolling bins. At Montgomeryville they're roughly organized by categories from clothing to housewares. Each "bin" is like a foot deep. This location has quite a few to sort through, and is paired with a "regular" store. Items are sold by weight, with prices based on category. I've sourced enough broken baby dolls to scare the neighborhood kids at Halloween, found some very cool vintage plates and an entire nativity set scattered across three different bins, with not even a scratch. If you go: they are busiest at opening. Shoppers may be territorial, not wanting anyone else to search in the bin they are at, or they don't care. Be prepared to dig, that's the fun. Wear gloves. I wear the ones used by chefs that are cut resistant - there will be sharp pointy broken things. Take your time. Lastly, if digging isn't your thing, stick to the "regular" thrift stores. No shame. The cashiers are usually pleasant, ready to politely ooh and aah at your "finds". They have some boxes and newspaper for you to pack your purchases if you like. Of course I'll keep going, it's happiness for my thrifting little heart.

Got some great clothing deals at 50% off for the color of the day/week and I appreciate this!By and large glassware and chachkies were overpriced, for example there was nothing for a 99 cents as there are in every other Goodwill and even the tiniest little nothing sometimes broken thing had a $1.99 as the lowest amount so I think they need to fix that.
