I was doing self checkout and pushed the button for help. The attendant Linda told me to look up the item myself on my phone as it was missing a barcode. Like ok I thought your job was to assist me? So I did and we continued checking out and as I was leaving she stopped me to look at my receipt. She did not check a single other receipt. I told her she should've helped me and done her job if she didn't believe I was capable of looking up an item. She then took my receipt out of my hand. Then was muttering under her breath and rolling her eyes when I asked to speak to her manager. So rude and disrespectful. We then had to wait 15+ minutes to speak to a manger which is ridiculous.

This has to be the worst Lowes in the region. I purchased a microwave in January and was told the microwave would take a couple weeks because it was special order, I waited however it became the end of February beginning of March called and they kept saying it's not in yet. Finally went to the store beginning, getting ready to be middle of March and they acted like it wasn't even ordered. I spoke to the manager of the department and he kept looking for the order and finally found that the microwave had been sitting in their store room since February 4th. I couldn't believe it. Then, they had the nerve (Rich) the guy who sold it to me, to laugh it off and say this happens all the time. I'm not surprised....what the? Then he scheduled delivery for the microwave to be delivered...the next week...microwave gets to my house and it is crashed and damaged. Went to speak with someone in the store about it and they acted like it was no big deal! I had been waiting for a microwave that was sitting in their store room since February and now it's the middle of March? I will be contacting corporate! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM...by the way this is the second time in this store something like this has happened to me. Pittsburgh Mills Lowes is better...more professional, no problem with products, better organized store.

I got everything I needed today and it was great. But just seems like there are always a ton of people working and you can't find someone when you need them. And there are never enough check out stations open. We shop here at least twice a month. And anytime you ask the staff for help, they drop what they are doing and help ... love that! Open more lanes and you'd be a 5 star every day!

Don't buy anything here that requires any assistance from anyone from the store employees. The Monroeville Store does not answer the phone. If you are in the store you will hear the PA system constantly saying that a customer needs assistance. I have been in that store so many times and the announcement for customer assistance is running and not one employee answers. There is no customer assistance in Lowe's in Monroeville.

This morning, i ordered a Job Site box on the website to make sure one was put on hold for me. i ordered at about 6:45 this morning. note on order said they were short staffed so would take a little while to pull. gave them benefit of doubt and went to store just after 10:00. the item had still not been pulled, asked that i go and retrieve myself, and nice lady said sure, they showed two in stock. i went to shelf and the large metal job box was not there, neither of them. went back to customer service figuring maybe it was pulled for me and just not noted, nope, person that was pulling the orders said they could find neither of them..... so two large job site boxes missing, and not a phone call that order could not be completes. while the ladies were nice that were attempting to aide me, i quite often find it frustrating that what is said to be there is not there. and not the first time. FYI, went to Tractor supply and got what i needed.

I am shocked that Lowes charges to give an estimate for installation of shower doors - and the price they quote for the estimate ($35) is not the price charged at the store - $65! I was looking to buy a shower door at Lowes and have it installed. I went through the Lowes website to get an installation estimate and was told I had to pay $35, at the store to get a 'detail'. I went to the Monroeville location at 4:40pm on 10/31/2020 and a guy in the Kitchen Design dept told me the cost was $65 for the 'detail'. I showed him the email from Lowes that said the price was $35 and he said 'too bad' - this store charges $65. I left mad. This morning,11/2/2020, Lisa from Flooring at the Monroeville store called to see if I still wanted to buy the 'detail'. I told her the story and she said the guy was wrong and they do not charge $65. What is going on at Lowes?

Went to Lowes to buy plants; needed 15- 20 bushes; plants already reduced by 50% and desperate to be planted before the ground gets hard with cold; will be 75 - 80% in 2 weeks; I waited until now because I am a retired teacher on a limited budget; also, I found a young man who can help me to plant this upcoming weekend but, will not have anyone to help me in 2 weeks. I explained this to manager #1 when I asked him today for the reduction of %75 coming in 2 weeks. This manager #1 said no; I then went inside and asked for another manager ( manager#2) who is in charge of the entire store - all departments, managers, etc. (my students trained me well to be persistent!); I explained to him the same situation; I told him that manager#1 had already told me "no"; but, manager #2 was kind (in this age of COVID,it is not only good to be kind, but good to appreciate your customers who dare to come out to support local stores). He said I could have the plants at %75 off the original price. I went back outside, selected 17 or so plants (took me about 30 minutes or so), stacked them all up and took them to checkout . . .The cashier did not believe me when I gave him manager #2's directives; he called him and asked him to confirm what I had already told him. He seemed upset that I had gotten the discount, but he did ring up the plants as we both waited for the manager#2 to come to the register. On his way over, he was stopped by manager #1. The two of them had a "side" discussion. Again, my teacher skills told me that manager #1 was plotting against me. Finally, manager#2 told me that I could not after all purchase the plants at the price that he had promised me - even though I spent around a total of an hour shopping, stacking plants, and was ready to pay at checkout! He apologized and said that manager #1 had superseded his authority! At that point, I realized that my value as a customer was absolutely ZERO! Please beware! Have little or no faith in what Lowes Monroeville Managers say! Have no faith in their honor! And, it is all about the money - even if the customer is lied to.... even if the customer is coming to the store buying a good load of merchandise in this age of COVID...even if "the customer is always right" and should be valued; even if the difference for 50% and 75% is not so much for Lowes but, everything to retirees... even if the plants die in the first hard frost because they have been weakened by being in plastic containers all season; I will make as much noise as I can about the poor and dishonest service at Lowes Monroeville where promises are not kept and the value of the customer is certainly in question. I will never go there again. . . I also will be writing a letter to corporate office about this bad experience.

just spent 38 minutes trying to get someone to answer the phone. instead, after about 35 rings, someone picks and hangs up. now you know why they hire assholes and freaks and idiots at $7 an hour.

Horrible customer service. We are trying to buy countertops and had several appointments that never happened because an associate "called off" or there was nobody scheduled in that department. Today we went to the store for our scheduled appt and were greeted by an employee who didn't know what was going on and called for the manager. The manager of that dept. Levi was clueless, telling us he could not help us and that the only people that could called off. I am a regional manager with over 100 accounts and know very well it is unacceptable for a manger not to know how do the the tasks required within their department. I was absolutely mind blown when he said he couldn't do anything for us. When I questioned him on this he immediately became argumentative, which is beyond unacceptable. We should have been called beforehand, when he knew the scheduled associate called off, and apologetically told us we needed to reschedule. We would have understood and been fine with this. Lowe's really needs to care about their customers and step up their game. Totally unacceptable. Will never shop their again.

I've given up. I tried to buy a dishwasher and installation from them, but never heard back from them once they had my money. After calling them 6 times, and still having no resolution, I canceled the order. Even that took several calls! As an aside, I was at the Monroeville Lowe's today, and it was MOBBED! I counted 27 people in line at Customer Service! They are not following the CDC guidelines for coronavirus, because they are not limiting the number of people in the store. Tomorrow I'll buy a dishwasher someplace else, and I will turn Lowe's in the the health department for violating the required guidelines.

I am always able to find what I need and get assistance when I need it. I purchased storm doors just prior to the pandemic and obviously had my installation date pushed back a few times. Mike, the installer, was always professional and timely with returning calls and keeping me informed. Once able, he did a fantastic job reframing and installing our doors.

I tried the buy on-line pick up at store system. I placed the order on March 19th and paid, and I immediately received an email telling me it has been delayed until March 27th. I understand with the situation we are currently in and I accepted that. On March 27th I received another email telling me a portion of the order has been delayed until May 5th. The remainder of the pre-paid order was ready for pick-up. I drove to the store and parked in the allotted space for pre-paid on-line order pick up and called the number posted. They didn't answer the phone. So i got out and stood in the line, still ring ring ringing the number for pick-up til my turn came to enter the store. The woman (without any required face mask) who was getting the order together for me had no clue what she was doing. It took her nearly an hour on the computer before she was ready to ring me out. I told her I already paid on line but she insisted that I had to pay again.. I said "I am actually supposed to sit in my truck and you are supposed to bring it out to me so how could I pay here if this was all done properly?".. I told her i used a gift card on-line. Finally I just told her to forget it, cancel it. I left frustrated and empty handed. thank you lowes ....terrible job

Part 2- After a little more back and forth, "Wendy", with another new guy at the computer, come to the "conclusion" that I hadn't ordered it in the first place! Oops! Must have been dreaming. But wait! Wendy, how is it possible that you have could have pulled up my name and credit card information when I gave you my phone number??? Weird. At this point, after close to an hour breathing next to un-masked Lowe's folk, I'm so frustrated that I don't even call her on her obvious lie, and make a slight scene, and leave the place. She obviously sold it, I told her. They made no effort to reserve it like I had asked. They didn't put my name on it, like I had asked (and been assured). I'll bet they didn't even check to see if there was even one back there. So now I'm leaving Lowe's in Monroeville empty handed after driving 45 minutes one way, standing in line for an additional 45, blood pressure probably through the roof at this point. Ahhhhh....almost home, I think. About after a half hour drive back, I'm out of Monroeville and getting back into the country. But no. Just as the beads of sweat on my forehead are drying up and I'm putting this fiasco behind me, I get a call from...you guessed it...Wendy!! "Yeah, sir, I can't tell you how sorry we are, but the truck with the freezers just arrived". (Uhh...B.S., Wendy. You told me yesterday that you had 4 in stock--never mentioned a truck or a delivery. I of course didn't say this, but this would be lie #2 if you're keeping track at home.) She was the last person in the world I wanted to talk to at the time, so I told her I would call her back after thinking about my options. She was very apologetic and nice on the phone, so after considering forgetting the whole thing, picking the freezer up in the morning, or just driving back and grabbing the dang thing, I decided to just turn around. So I called and asked to have it ready and I would be there in a half an hour. (Hour and 15 on road so far). I get there expecting a freezer with a bow on it and a half dozen guys to load it in my car. Nope! I FIND THE EXACT SAME SITUATION that I had just escaped from. Exactly the same. (I even think a few customers were still in the same place in line). I gotta go....long story short, absolutely terrible. I would never spend this much energy on a review if It wasn't. Come to think of it, this is the first review I've ever done. Just don't go. Ahh..I spent another half hour to 45 minutes in there waiting for someone to get it from "the back". I then bypassed any sort of Lowe's employee, put it in my car, and took off for home. If there had been any liquor stores open during this virus thing, I'd probably have stopped at 2. Don't GO THERE!!!!!

I spend a lot of time at this and other Lowes stores but this experience was especially good. I was looking for bathroom tile and the store had recently been reorganized and I was having trouble finding ceramic tile that didn't look like wood. I have hardwood floors throughout my house and I needed something a little different. So I walked back to the flooring section and connected with Nick who was assisting a customer over the phone but he assured me that he would help me as soon as he was done. While he was wrapped up his phone call, he walked us over to see the different ceramic tile options. I immediately fell in love with a beautiful marble style tile and he looked up the product to make sure there was enough in stock. Sure enough there were but.. they were not in the bay they belonged in. This is where, in my opinion, Nick went above and beyond for a customer... he went box by box in this huge isle of floor tile until he found two boxes that were randomly placed in the wrong spot. He opened the boxes to make sure none were broken, picked up the very heavy (78 pound) boxes and put them in my cart for me. He made sure all of my questions were answered and he helped me get all other tools I needed before he left to help another customer. I was blow away by my experience, I will be back to Lowes since home projects never seem to end but I will keep an eye out for Nick since he was so great to work with!
