Jonnet Plaza is a plaza in Monroeville that is anchored by the Jonnet Building. Then you have the strip mall portion as well. There has been a change over of stores and restaurants over time here. Once housing a Office Depot and Lone Star Steakhouse they have been replaced by a fitness center and Mexican restaurant. To note, behind a majority of this strip of stores is a bowling alley as well. However, even with the changeover of stores and restaurants this plaza has seemed to survive over time. The Jonnet Building houses offices, doctors, and a few other things. There is an Enterprise Car Rental spot as well. This sits at a very busy intersection in Monroeville which feeds the plaza with customers on a steady basis. Can't really categorize this as a mall, but it does fill a shopping need as well as a service need.

The Jonnet Plaza and Building is run down and just showing the overall decay of Monroeville in general. The parking lot is horrible with holes everywhere. The plaza itself is in need of updating to maybe actually attract some tenants or at least keep them. The Office Building is in bad shape. The top floor restaurant has had the window boarded up for quite a long time now. There's an air conditioner in the window of an air-conditioned building. Which would tell you the AC isn't very good and also looks pretty bad on the building. The sign at the entrance hasn't worked in some time now either. And when it did it was pretty messed up. You figure the fact that they just built a couple little strip centers in the area. You figure if the plaza wasn't in such bad shape maybe it could have attracted those stores into opening in the Jonnet Plaza. But as it sits half empty and just an eye sore to the community. No one wants to rent here. If this is how the development company operates, I don't know why anyone would take their business to them.

The shopping plaza parking lot has gone under new improvement with parking spaces clearly marked.

A family operated medium size strip mall with anchor store like Big Lots.
