If I could leave a -10 star review for Dollar Bank Monroeville I would. My husband passed away last year at age 96 and I am the beneficiary as well as the executor of all our money at the bank. Because he was increasingly confused at his advanced age I had a lawyer send a court order to every bank we used that two signatures are required for all of our accounts. Every other bank we use has released the two signature required automatically upon presenting his death certificate, proof of funeral, short certificate indicating I am the executor….. except for Dollar Bank. Dollar Bank has locked all of my retirement savings for the past year because of the initial request I made to have signatures for all transactions. Even though they acknowledge my husband has passed away they are still demanding his signature for banking. NO other bank has caused any issues lifting the two signature requirement because he has obviously died. Now I have had to hire a very costly lawyer to fight Dollar Bank to release my money to me. I have no access to money to pay medical bills taxes and lawyer fees. I have had to borrow money!They also refused to take out my husbands RMD last year and this year because he couldn’t sign for the transaction (because he died!) which means I will pay a hefty IRS fine. Dollar Bank Monroeville should be investigated for consumer abuse and I have filed complaints with the Pa Banking Commission. As an aside the manager was also unbelievably rude and clearly lied to me on several occasions. My husband and I had accounts at seven other banks including Huntington, Synchrony, Discover, First National Bank, PNC etc….and I have had absolutely no issues with other banks. Dollar Bank should lose customers as they have been dishonest and disrespectful. PLEASE learn from my mistake and do not use this bank. Literally anywhere is better.

This is the worst bank ever. They need to hire new tellers. Spent a half hour in the line with one car in front of me. Late for work again??♀️sad. This is all the time.

DB is going to lose me over their overdraft policies. Lost $72 because Uber attempted 10x to charge for a ride because of an app issue. DB is like, sorry not my problem. I’ve stewed on this for 9 months. Got a great offer from a competitor. Time to say goodbye!

Great experience. Most days you don't think about your bank, but something came and I need to reach out to the branch and ask for help. They were kind, helpful and nonjudgmental. They worked with me and made my stressful situation a pleasant experience.

Great place to do banking and loans. They are professional, caring and friendly. I have never had a bad experience there after years of banking with them.

Horrible experience trying to apply for a loan. I had to place multiple calls over the last two weeks with the promise of "Marcie will call you back later today". All of this to get an update for my application. She never reached out to me over the two weeks. Horrible customer service. This is the only bank that tried to run my wife's credit when I tried to include her income under household income. They never asked me if I wanted her as a cosigner (which I don't). Not to mention they called her and tried to get her to start a Refi on our house once they found out our monthly income. I will be looking at other banks to take my business to.Edit.... since posting this review I've gotten more calls from this bank than when I was trying to do business with them. PLEASE STOP CALLING ME. I've taken my business elsewhere so there is no point in talking on the phone with you guys. I wasn't important enough to call back during my loan process so why are you reaching out to me now? Is it because this review makes the branch look bad and you want to justify the actions? No need for it so please do not call me anymore. OFF TO HUNTINGTON I GO!

The women at the Monroeville branch could not be nicer or more helpful. I have been in their numerous times and all of them are always polite, professional, kind, and funny (when appropriate). I love this bank!

All I can say is the people at the Dollarbank and Monroeville Miracle mow our outstanding they’re friendly either caring to go all the way to help me all the time when I have problems with any type of account I highly recommend them I did switch from another bank locally and I’m so glad I did you got a try Dollarbank

I love banking at Dollar bank! It's been my favorite bank for years! I recently ran into an issue and Jennifer took care of everything for me! She is a kind caring employee who takes pride in what she does and it shows She! She answered all my questions in regards to the situation with my account and gave me all the solutions to fix what was going on! Thank you Jennifer for your time and effort in helping me with my account! And thank you dollar bank for being my favorite bank!

I recently moved back to the Monroeville area where I grew up. My first introduction to banking as a youth, by way of my first savings account being at Dollar Bank were my parents choose to do their banking. So it was an easy choice to handling my financial business here. I have always felt like a valued customer. Greeted and treated with the upmost respect.

They are just rude, it’s like they don’t get what customer service is and think they are doing you a favor. Honestly just go to PNC they are amazing I’ve never had any issues with them and are extremely accommodating. They understand how people want to be treated.

I made an appointment to come to Dollar Bank on William Penn Highway to open an account with them. I called on Tuesday and they said all appointments on Wednesday were booked. The customer service representative (who was very pleasant) told me there was an opening for 11 and 2 PM on Thursday. I told her the 2 PM slot would work. At the end of the phone call she apologized and said the appointment was actually for 1, not 2 PM. So I go in today at 1 for my appointment and call them to tell them I have arrived. They tell me my appointment was actually yesterday (Wednesday) at 1. I could not go in anyways as there is only one person allowed in the building at one time. I do not understand why I was told the wrong appointment time. I went out of my way to go to monroeville just to have dollar bank tell me they screwed up my appointment time. I will not be banking with this company in the future. If they can't keep up with appointment times then I certainly do not trust them with my money.

Very quick service! I had a question about my accounts and I worked with Lisa. She was so helpful and explained things thoroughly and answered any questions that I had. The location itself was clean and welcoming. I will definitely do my banking at this location going forward. Such a great experience.
