I booked a trip and paid for to rent a Tesla three model from Hertz. I got there to pick it up and they tell me I must have a credit card to use for the security deposit of $200. This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard of, and I will never rent from them ever. Maybe change your policy and help people who don’t have credit cards. I don’t like to use them. I have more than enough money to hold the deposit but you can’t use a debit card. ??

Harrisburg PA airport location lied and charged us 102 to refuel our car when we refilled it at gas station near airport entrance just before dropping off. Won’t take credit card receipt as proof, threatened us w collections if we didnt pay. Will never rent from them again, this used to be a decent company but its totally dishonest now.

Made a booking through my bank. Was told I did not meet the age requirement to rent the car that I had reserved (and of course paid for) ON TOP OF not being issued a refund. Awful experience.

The car was good. The problem is the agent on the return. She absolutely refused to issue a receipt and to check the car in. She has very poor manners and shouldn’t be working in service industry I am renting from Hertz regularly, president circle renter and this employee makes this location is the one to avoid because of this employee. She is a dark stain on otherwise good company. I will rent elsewhere when flying toHarrisburg next time

I'll tell you what I've rented a lot of cars and dealt with a lot of unsavory individuals and their attitudes do I will tell you this the gentleman that took care of my paperwork and got me to my car was very professionally made me feel like I was at home he was that nice and he gave me a free upgrade due to me being so tall and the car that was rented was too small and without question he looked at me with that the card said no my friend I'm going to put you in this car which was twice the size of the other car and I will tell you this he really made me feel like I was a friend and I was in Good company

I rarely write poor reviews, I like to give everyone the benefit of being able to turn a negative experience into a positive one. I reserved a car through a third party company, a mini van. The person working at the Hertz counter was Paul, he was rude, confrontational and seem to enjoy being able to turn me down for my reserved car rental. He said I was yelling at him and he did not have to rent to me. I swear, I did not yell at that man. First, I could not pay with my debit card unless I had a flight itinerary. Ok, that rule was posted. I purchased an airline ticket( I did not have a credit card with me) and got back in line. Then Paul informs me that I can’t rent a van with a debit card. This was an awful experience and Paul was unprofessional, rude and seemed to love the control over the situation. I am a Hertz Gold member. But this experience was awful. I ended up rental from a competitor at the airport, this experience was more of what a customer should expect, good customer service.

Went though hell getting a car at the DC location so I was wondering what kind of service we were going to get returning the car. It was actually pretty easy. We pulled up and someone walked up to our car with a tablet. We just left the car with her and were on our way.

Don't book with Hertz. You can give them the money up front and you can prove that you're flying back out and you're gonna return the car, but STILL if you want to use your bank card instead of a credit card, they need to see your return flight ticket AND they need a $500 deposit with no receipt AND they want you to give your social security number to the creep at the counter to do a credit check.I had the $500 deposit, even though the maximum deposit mentioned anywhere else is only $200. But all of a sudden, if I've never borrowed money from anybody and I don't have a credit score, we can't pick up the car that we already booked and paid for.Omg don't even get me started on the call center. We are still waiting for the refund.

The car I got was very smelly. I asked for another vehicle and was told they couldn't give me another one. Not even in a different size class. They told me to go to another Hertz location to swap out my vehicle. I did not have time to do that so I had to deal with the stinky car.When I returned the car, I was told I didn't fill it up and I was charged for a few gallons of gas. The Hertz receipt said the tank was 7/8 full. Well, I have a picture showing it was definitely 8/8 full. No room for error. It appears they just say it is low and then expect me to prove it to them as a way to nickel and dime their customers. The mileage is ONE mile different from this pic and the mileage recorded on the receipt.Disappointed.

We attenpted to rent a car online, but they failed to tell us UNTIL THE DAY OF that we needed a credit card AND a round trip airplane ticket for that airport. Luckily we got a car elsewhere, but even if we do go through this airport some point in life, I'm definitely not getting a rental here

Totally scammed rent car on your own risk at this location or pay $100 to $150 extra. After reservations I asked why I got changed extra $143 ? They said they don’t know
