I rented a vehicle and needed it longer than I originally expected. I kept in contact with this location by phone, with requests to extend my rental. Then the vehicle was stolen from me (my fault for not knowing to file a police report. I explained to the service desk that the vehicle I had rented was missing and left a voicemail for the owner, but I never received a call back from him). He then proceeded to file a police report for a stolen vehicle. The vehicle in question was found totaled in The Bronx, and the man driving it was arrested.My credit card was charged over $8,000 for rental costs, plus fines incurred by this vehicle while it was not in my possession.In addition, I have been charged with felonious theft of leased property due to negligence of this location - the owner will NOT communicate with you or return phone calls or voicemail messages he receives (despite referring to them in police reports)!***** AVOID and do NOT rent a car from this location!

The person behind the counter was not helpful. I ended up having to leave without a rental. It made my trip and my day much more difficult.

I had a great experience renting from Avis. I rented a pickup truck, prepaid about two weeks prior to my visit. Received reminder emails. Prefilled my drivers license info for quick transaction when I arrived. Took about 3 minutes to get the key once I got to the kiosk. The truck was a nearly brand new Nissan Titan loaded with all the amenities, including heated pleather seats, cruise with radar collision avoidance, Apple Carplay and AC outlets. Avis had, by far the best price for a pickup at this airport.

Very unprofessional experience at this corporate Avis location. I was told I was not allowed to swap out a vehicle at this location. I called corporate and called all Avis locations in the area and they all said this location was the ONLY location capable of swapping out vehicles. Customer Service lied about Avis policy, and was rude and even stated they hate customer service. Truly unbelievable experience and will not be returning. Not to mention Avis has already double charged me for this trip, buy charging me a buy now price, then charging my card again for the same rental price. This was separate from the hold they put on cards.

The rental experience was seamless and easy. The total cost including all of the fees was presented up front which was incredibly helpful. The staff at the rental counter were friendly and the vehicle I received was well maintained, freshly washed, and full of gas.

Harrisburg International Airport...Picked up a rental - supposed to be Passat or similar; however, it's ALWAYS an issue at this location LACKING cars. I was offered at RAV 4 of which I declined and was told a Camry was available. But the agent along with the Mgr, John was attempting to persuade me to rent the RAV because of lower mileage. The only other option was an electric car of which I also declined because of having to stop several times to recharge. I still chose the Camry. The agent continued to inform Avis did not own the Camry and the toll box would NOT be attached to the windshield. I informed her I had my own transponder for my own vehicle(s) and would using. Upon my usual inspection of my rentals in that DARK garage, these location vehicles are ALWAYS NOT cleaned. Additionally, the toll box was attached to the windshield. Almost to my location, the Camry began to involuntarily sway side to side on the interstate. After getting out of the vehicle, I began another inspection and discovered the 2 front tires are BALD. And the vehicle inspection notification light indicator came on. I called Avis to report and was only told to inform the lot person when I checked the vehicle back in at the location where it was rented.************Why are you allowing UNSAFE vehicles on the road???I called Avis direct counter at Harrisburg Airport to inform the rental was late and I'd return in a couple of hours. The agent Olivia informed the rental was extended until 6/14 and I did not authorize that transaction!!!!!!!! I proceeded to ask who extended the rental and she could not provide an answer. I asked the cost of returning the rental within a couple hours and Olivia informed the additional cost $88. I informed had no problem paying the $88 additional.I returned Camry and informed the lot gentleman I called previously about the BALD 2 front tires and vehicle indicator light activated. I proceeded to the Avis counter to check-out and was told the additional cost was $138+ and challenged what I was originally told of $88. Olivia, the agent appeared dumbfounded and dismissed what she originally informed me. I then ask for AVIS corporate and the Mgr of which is "John" . Olivia informed he was not in; however, he suddenly appeared while I was sitting in close proximity to rental car counter.Your agent are UNPROFESSIONAL, as I was returning the rental, Olivia was either watching social media or texting and pretending to work. They're all useless at the counter - never offered to rectify the situation by simply asking "John" the mgr who suddenly reappeared and never approached me while sitting near the rental counter (as I was the phone with Avis corporate). But apparently, they were discussing me because the agents kept whispering and looking up at me while I was sitting.*******What has happened to the "mature" competent agents - and I'm not referencing age - the respectful ones who would not have allowed the customer to depart without going above and beyond, the ones who are not UTILIZING (obviously) social media while at work!!! Factually, one's cell phone should not be visible while YOU are getting PAID to work...all 3 at the Avis counter today. But the same 3 who may be replaced by online only - no contact rentals to save AVIS money. I guess they'll then seem surprised.?.KUDOS to Anthony the corporate over-the-phone supervisor for rectifying my situation.

Everything was so easy - from the booking to picking up my car at the airport. The service was great and the car was amazing. A new Kia with all the features that my Subaru has! Grade A!

AVIS did a great job on my rental this time. It was extremely easy to rent the car, pick it up, and drop it off. The lady at the counter for pick-up was very courteous and pleasant to work with. She saw that the car that I had rented was too small for the luggage and all that we had and got me an upgrade that fit perfect for us! All this and for a great price. I was able to get the vehicle for 3 days at about the same price it would have been for 1 day at other places.

Why bother being a Presidents level customer with a company that has no control over their locations. Had an issue with this location that did not honor the Presidents status benefit of an upgrade, and yes it was available. They said their system would not allow it and I was blocked. They wouldn't do anything about it. I called the Presidents desk and they couldn't do anything about it since this was a Franchise location. So, again why bother with a company that has no control of their standards..!!

Excellent one-way rental in late December. Car was very, very nice, ran great, and the customer service was OUTSTANDING at the rental desk. They really went above and beyond in helping me with my rental. Drop-off was a breeze, and the Avis employee who checked in my car was very nice. I haven't rented from Avis often, but I have to say, the customer service at the pick-up point really moved Avis up my list of rental companies I'll go to first; it was a very good experience.

I give a rating only because The car was very clean and the guy at the register in PA was amazing. But when I went to turn in the car it was apparently late via the person I talked to on the phone. The Avis website said they don’t open till 9am and so does google. But the lady said they open at 6:30 or so. But the guy at the register said I wasn’t late and to call the number and say I should not have been charged a late fee. Well long story short I had to pay a extra 115 bucks because the yalls website says 9:00.

I rented a car from Avis at the Harrisburg, PA airport. The car was ready when I got there. I was very fortunate to receive a new car that was higher up than the one I rented. Pickup and return was an absolute breeze. I forgot to refuel, but the attendant let me leave and refuel the car. Everything was perfect.

I’m renting a car here for the second time, and everything is wonderful. The quality of service is quick and efficient, and the cars are clean and new. I’m definitely going to use this service again. See you next week!
