“I wouldn't go anywhere else . You get what toy pay for! Don't frame it yourself ...you can't do it like Smith . I had 2 railroad pics framed , post card framed , and a Tom Glance pic framed .”
“I recently had the pleasure of attending a stained glass class at Art on Derry. Our guide was Laird Augustus. He is the Rand McNally of stained glass. Laird's teaching style was not only informative but encouraging. He wants to pass the craft onto others and it shows.I walked into the class with a touch of anxiety. I was a glass dweeb. I left feeling not only empowered but surprisingly talented in the art of stained glass—I felt like an x-man of glass. Like I was Wolverine or at least like the pink power ranger.Laird's personable and friendly approach created a welcoming atmosphere that made the experience enjoyable for us novices.Crafting alongside my wife and admin assistant, and her husband added an extra layer of fun. Despite my initial nervousness, Laird's encouragement and patience made the entire process a breeze. I couldn't believe how my succulent turned out – a masterpiece, if I do say so myself. In the end, I discovered a hidden talent, and, to my surprise, outshone my wife and admin in the stained glass department – a first for me! They generally do everything better than me or at least I let them think that!If you're looking for a unique and enjoyable creative experience, this studio led by Laird Augustus is an absolute gem. He is a “Glass act”.”
