I think Hildacy Preserve is great for hiking, but not so great for dipping into the creek. The water is too shallow. I also didn't see much wildlife, besides insects, in the water. No crayfish, no fish in general. I think most people come here for the hiking. Nothing wrong with hiking here, but I like to hike, and then cool off in the creek or river.

It's small, but there's lot of variety at Hildacy. Trails, open fields of grass, streams...pretty much whatever natural spaces you're into. It's not a popular spot so you can expect some privacy even in summer. Free entrance and parking

Beautiful preserve and a nice area to walk and be in nature. I even got to help plant trees!

Wonderful little area in the heart of Delco. Relatively easy hiking trails. Next time I'll need to bring my binoculars since it looks like an excellent site for birding.

A wonderful protected wildlife area. Well maintained trails with a good mix of wildlife zones. There are a few surprises if you take the time to look around and enjoy. This area includes trails for humans and dogs, a picnic area, good signage with interesting wildlife to see markers, a creek with decent access, and a well paved parking area.Starting off straight ahead from the parking area will lead you down a winding trail to the creek...follow the creek to a nifty water feature crated by Springton Reservoir above you. First visit here's lots of foot traffic if you're looking for a more secukded hike or time this could suffice but I saw someone every 20-30 minutes. However they were all extremely friendly and curious to what I was doing (rockhounding) had some great conversation and folks pointed me in the directions I wanted to check out rocks. Highly recommend all around

Wow superb place. Absolutely natural terrain - walking in the woods, stream and the birds. It's quite educational as well - conservation of plants species / plantation. Worth visiting. Plenty of parking.

Had a lovely hike at Willisbrook Preserve - thank you for being open when many parks in the area are closed due to the pandemic
