Nope. Things have really gone downhill at the Media Acme.Maybe blame Covid? Maybe blame overworked, underpaid employees?Whatever it is, I now hate shopping here and will go to Giant or even Whole Paycheck before I come to this Acme (The one by Granite Run is not good either).Prices are often coded incorrectly (sale price does not come up).Produce is just OK and grocery items (canned goods, packed foods) are priced too high.Not a great place to shop any more.Please clean the floors!

I haven't had a problem at this store the few times I visit. The location is good for Media and it's good to be able to have parking in Media as well. I was hoping for a ready made sandwich, but none were available on this last minute Wednesday afternoon. I didn't have to face crowds because it was about 2 PM. I wanted a relaxing, but convenient pre-made item, I had started to look for a salad bar only to be reminded that most groceries stores have now closed or scaled back their salad bars sadly and understandably. Acme tends to have higher prices for things that I'd want. Some of their in-house food tends to be a bit better to me that other typical grocery stores around their level. I ended up with a pre-made fettucine alfredo chicken and it was eh. Good portion size for me, but I'm wondering if I should've just taken out from the Olive Garden for more. Sigh.

Moldy tomatoes, produce completely out of stock or haphazardly scattered around, and dirty floors. Nobody seemed to want to work, which makes sense given the unprovoked exclaimation by the passive aggressive cashier that there was no manager and several staff called out. None of this can be excused for a major organization like ACME.We'll never return.

I never really write reviews but I'm truly sick of the quality of this acme in specific. Too many times I've come home after shopping noticing spoiled food and same day sell by dates. The location alone is amazing and gives the store a lot of potential customers yet they rarely ever have decent quality produce or fresh meats & seafood which explains their ratings. The first couple of times it has happened, I wrote it off as being my fault for not checking closely enough. However I've decided after seemingly the 100th time it's happened to no longer waste my money at this grocer. It's understandable for them to mark items that go out of date the same day to a sale price, but not when said item is already out of date when they package it up. NEVER BUY SALMON HERE, every single time I've gotten it (or any other fresh fish) even if the expiration is still a week out I've found that typically it's still unsafe to eat even the same day you buy it, always overly smelly and slimy, it would have to be packaged when already starting to go bad for it to be this spoiled. Same goes for their fresh meat department, the steaks, pork, chicken are never a good quality and more often than not go bad within only a day or two if you don't immediately freeze them (which no good cook wants to do) your safe getting anything in boxed/dry items but who wants to do their shopping in multiple different stores just because this acme doesn't put out good fresh products. Even the produce department lacks on putting out fresh fruits & vegetables, multiple times I've been here and noticed fruit flys grouping around, on and inside the fruits out on display and it's an instant turn off to buy anything from the store. Bagged vegetables that are already rotting inside, to sum it all up this acme continues to try to sell out of date and spoiled product to (I'd assume) save their own pockets and screw over the average person out of their hard earned money, certainly not an issue of understaffing and there is always an array of employees moseying around with AirPods in their ears. STEP IT UP FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

So, I placed an order for delivery today. Time for delivery was between 5 and 7 pm. I received a text telling me my order was "shopped" and ready to go. Trouble one: 10 substitutions without my permission for things I would never have agreed to. And, for the same price for knock off substitutions as the brand name items. Nevertheless, I went home and arrived by 5. At 7:30, with no food delivery I called the store. Was told the manager of drive through wasn't there and that I could call back at 9 am. Really? I called again and this time someone checked my order and said no driver had ever even picked it up. Hmmmm....milk and other goods were sitting on a shelf waiting for some unknown driver to show up? This has got to be, hands down, the WORST DELIVERY SERVICE EVER....IN FACT THE WORST B******* NON-DELIVERY SERVICE EVER. AND...THEY DEBITED MY CARD FOR GROCERIES I NEVER RECEIVED! FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB IMMEDIATELY. RUN SCREAMING AND DONT SHOP OR USE ACME DELIVERY SERVICE. THEY USE STRANGERS WHO DON'T BOTHER SHOWING UP TO DELIVER FOOD TO CUSTOMERS!!!

Only ever shop here when there is A great sale because As everyone in Media knows (And complains about in my circle ) this particular Acme has incredibly cluttered aisles, aisles with weird angles and exits and stuff hanging off the shelves blocking your view of some items. But today I happen to get an incredible buy on soups that were Buy three get five free so I endured. Generally I prefer to not use self check out because I have a moral feeling about people having lost their jobs for this option. I'll gladly sacrifice another eight or nine minutes in line so that people could have jobs, but that's another story. But today as is usually the case the past 5 years Only one checkout line was open so I self checked out. Many of the items did not come up on sale and had to be corrected by the self check out clerk who was annoyed at having to do so. Is this my fault? NO!!!! If I was able to be checked out by a checker the items that I questioned would have been checked and corrected without an attitude or complaint. This is not a Covid Related staff issue because all of the employees I've seen in here today Have been here over 10 years. It's just the nature of people working in a cluttered environment in a highly populated area. Perhaps this Acme should double check that their programmed pricing is accurate to alleviate stress on both the employee and customer? I'll be back but not for another 6 months,sorry.

It's a basic grocery store so it's fine if you aren't looking for many gourmet items. They've had some of the same staff for years they are nice people who try to be helpful.

Just had a very friendly young man as a cashier named Oladapo that was quick, professional, and carried out extra precautions to keep Acme customers safe during this time! Please let him know his great work ethic was noticed by customers!
