“They guys working here are very friendly! They're always willing to help me find whatever I'm looking for!! Also the slushees seems the icing on the cake! I will be a loyal customer now that I live in the area!!”
“Great selection of beers and wines for any taste ✨ They also have wine/beer tasting events! And they have some seating in case if you would like to have a small gathering”
“Been coming here since I was a kid now only buying water but nonetheless is still a great place. It’s hard to find 5 gallon top or bottom style water cooler refills and they have it reasonably priced actual springwater and if you need some of that courage in the bottle personality enhancing nectar they got plenty of that too.. always best pricing around. And the famous one for the road slushy bar machines, someday I’ll get one”
“So good! I appreciate that they have Arsenal all over the city, but nothing like trying all the variety at the cider house itself. I love the drier stuff and the broken hearts was a winner for me. My partner got a ginger one and that was also delicious. Friendly staff and nice cozy place. Outside was spacious and we were lucky enough to snag a spot by the fire pit. A Pittsburgh must.”
“Already reviewed when the place first opened but I love coming here. It's super convenient and the staff members are super nice and always helpful. Always have a positive experience when I come here”

201 N 2nd Ave, Elizabeth“Edit because I didn't think people actually read these.Staff is absolutely wonderful and go above and beyond to provide excellent service. Good selection of drinks, tobacco, etc. My children love stopping in with me because lollipops of course! Overall you walk in being treated like a family friend instead of just a customer and will not be disappointed.Side note, the remodel of the store is gorgeous and inviting.”
“If you’re not a local please note you’re not going to find alcohol at the local gas station or grocery store. You need a PA state run liquor store. How incredibly convenient to have included one in The Waterfront complex. Thereafter, this location is an exceptional ambassador for this chain. From entry to exit we were greeted, they came to us vs finding help, laughed along the way and just good people. Extra shoutout to Kathy who nailed what we didn’t even know we were looking for and at an exceptional price. The place is huge, bright and has a very good selection. Pricing was reasonable as well. We will return!”

10 Old Clairton Rd, Pittsburgh“Sometimes shop here for a holiday or special event or for a gift, though I could count the times on one hand over the past two years. Very good selection, though I would hardly think of myself as a wine expert.
They do offer tasting events. Check their website.
If you cook and use alcohol (such as cognac) in a dish, you will find a good selection of sample bottles.
You may also find a genteel employee who reminds me of a polo patron.”

807 East St, Pittsburgh“I've had the privilege of calling East Street Beer my go-to destination for years, and each visit feels like a delightful journey through time and taste. This historic gem has carved a special place in my heart, not just for its rich heritage but for the unparalleled selection of beers that keeps me coming back for more.Stepping into East Street Beer is like stepping into a world where history and hops blend seamlessly. The establishment's longstanding presence in the community adds an air of authenticity to the experience. With each visit, I can't help but feel connected to the countless beer enthusiasts who have walked through these doors before me.Speaking of beer, the selection at East Street Beer is a beer lover's dream come true. From craft brews that awaken the palate to familiar domestic favorites that bring a sense of comfort, the variety is astonishing. And while the domestic and craft options alone could satiate even the pickiest of palates, I feel the potential for more international offerings. Imagine the excitement of finding beloved brews from renowned breweries like Unibroue and Trappist lining the shelves! A La Trappe Quad, oh my, that would be the epitome of excellence. But it's not just the beers that make East Street Beer a standout establishment. The ownership and staff play an integral role in curating an inviting and welcoming atmosphere. Their genuine passion for beer is infectious, and their knowledge and recommendations have guided me through numerous delightful discoveries. The warm smiles and willingness to engage in spirited conversations make each visit a true pleasure.East Street Beer is more than just a place to grab a 6-pack – it's a haven for beer enthusiasts, a living piece of history, and a place where camaraderie and connection thrive. I can confidently say that as long as East Street Beer continues to pour its heart and soul into every aspect of its operation, I'll continue to be a loyal patron for years to come. Here's to raising a glass to East Street Beer and all the memories yet to be made within its hallowed walls!”
“Nice little place for beer and a decent selection for the size of the store. A little tight inside but, I don’t mind because of the wider selection being the reason. Prices are reasonable too. In and out type of parking (meaning: there’s not a lot of parking space but you’re really just going in and not spending much time in there so, it’s ok for the situation).”
“Great local options to choose from including, Hitchhiker and Grist house, and lots of other locals. Well & of course all the classics you expect to see at a beer distributor. We are regulars for sure”

4133 Liberty Ave, Pittsburgh“As a long time Bloomfield resident I've known this locations history starting 40 years ago as a gas/service station. A few years ago the owner was having the many years of his hard work catch up. He sold the location to what is now was once a unicorn, a beer distributor with an outstanding selection sure to suit anyone's taste. And here's the real anomaly, plenty of parking!”

1955 Wharton St, Pittsburgh“Marcy took care of me! I walked in here two days after my 21st knowing nothing about anything. She was so sweet, she really set me up right. Respected my budget and was genuinely excited to show me to where the good stuff was. I'm telling all my friends this is the spot. Thanks for a hype bday Marcy!”
9AM - 10PM
3845 Northern Pike, Monroeville“This state operated liquor store has wide selection. They have wine tasting every week. The time I went, there was sake from different regions from Japan. Very neat. Staff are friendly and willing to offer their recommendation. The downside is the traffic jam getting in and out from that plaza, especially Friday and Saturdays.”
“A shout out to the hardest working and most philanthropic beer distributor in Western Pennsylvania. They have donated thousands of cans of beer to a nonprofit I volunteer for, this is a great organization. They also carry amazing brews, just every craft brewery that you know and love. They have been in Millvale since 1933, which means they have survived multiple floods and one fire, and still they are loyal to Millvale, which means a lot to that community.”
“Balson Beer Distributors is AMAZING!! Owner Nick went above and beyond for my husband and I when we needed a beer delivery. He provided us with an exceptional level of customer service and was extremely helpful in recommending beers and quantities. When we arrived at our wedding the beer as promised and was cooled for our guests. Thank you again Nick and the rest of the wonderful employees at Balson Beer Distributors who helped make our wedding absolutely perfect! Megan & Justin”

11685 Penn Hills Drive, Pittsburgh“It's always well staffed. It's always well stocked. But they have armed security in this store. And in the shopping center. We were attacked by a shopper down by Giant eagle just a couple weeks ago. Guy tried to pull us out of our car. I just took off and called the cops. It's getting crazy up here”
“A good liquor store in a historical part of town. Over 100 years ago this place was known as Rothman's Restaurant and Bar. Here's an awesome street view image that shows what this same area looked like way back in 1909. It was famous for good whiskey and Baeuerlein Beer was on draught at that time.”
“Lovely location with an awesome staff. Had a family member get sick over the holidays and Melanie was wonderful. She was able to locate my order over the phone and return two of the unused bottles in store. She never hesitated to search for my order and print my receipt, when I was the one who declined the receipt at the time of purchase. Never have we returned liquor, but with the stomach bug, we couldn’t risk our friends/family getting sick. We are not big drinkers outside of holidays, so to get the $70 back was very nice. 10/10 would recommend. Clean facility, great selection, and thoughtful team members.”
“Super professional, always courteous, and the one woman ,Kris she is absolutely beautiful my son James has the biggest crush on her we work for the person who owns the building so we dee what goes on behind the scenes and its a great place”
“Helpful for gift selections ,helpful polite employees, convenient location, nextdoor to post office ,and other convenient stores on same block, handicap parking spaces available if needed”

112 Elm St, Clairton“Ever the beer distributor closed down located on St Clair I have been coming here. The guys who work there are very nice. The prices are decent & it's enough room to move around”
9AM - 9PM
739 Monongahela Ave North, Glassport“It was quite busy on Wednesday when I went. But it was worth it. They have a deal on pizza, 75 cents a slice with your choice of toppings. Another plus is that you can take pizza to go. The only downside is that there was only two waitress running back and forth. But it was worth the wait. The pizza reminded me of pizza I got in my youth. I give it a 9.5 out of 10.”
“Love coming here to peruse the shelves and get new things to try! I’m a creature of habit so being able to go and taste helps me try new things and they are always super helpful. They have a wide selection, I’m always pleased to see they have single cans just in case you don’t want to commit to a six or twelve pack of something you may not like. Also the staff is just super nice, good people, and always pleasant to talk to while you browse. This is a must visit place for non-alcoholic beverages if you’re in Pittsburgh, visitor or resident.”
