Fort Cherry offers a reasonably challenging layout with mid-range difficulty, making it approachable yet engaging for a variety of skill levels. The course conditions were decent, especially considering the time of year, though some areas showed wear due to recent aeration. Unfortunately, the pace of play was disappointing, with over an hour and a half waiting throughout the round, which detracted significantly from the experience. Customer service was adequate, with staff meeting basic needs but not going above and beyond. Given the season and current course conditions, the round felt a bit overpriced. Overall, it’s a decent course, but the slow pace and cost might not justify the experience for everyone.

This course is in pretty bad shape and to charge $65 in late October is a joke. We won't be back. Many courses in our area that are cheaper, in better condition, and they treat you better. To top it off we couldn't get a sandwich at the turn because they were out. We won't be back to this place. They don't deserve ONE star. They told the guy that booked the rate was $43 or we wouldn't have booked.

I would rate it less if possible, Paid $65.00 (late October) to play on greens that have dead areas that aeration is not going to help and tee boxes filled with sand from aeration. As a group of weekend golfers that travel the tristate area we will add Fort Cherry to the do not play list. If the course is under repair you should let golfers know up front. Most places will at minimum offer a discount or fall rate during aeration. Club House staff was rude as well. There are many courses in the area that are in way better condition and have staff that are not annoyed when you arrive.

Terrible management and spotty course upkeep… lunch time on a Sunday and zero food or bar. Greens were in awful shape and staff were miserable. For $65 you’d expect to at least have a hot dog or maybe a glove to buy in the pro shop .. zero gloves or Balls to buy.. I’ll never be back

CAUTION greens all have large burnt out areas!! Prices are totally out of line with course conditions. Website shows Sunday morning rate of $57. Don’t believe it, they charge $65. Classic bait and switch. I played on August 11, 2024. Save your money, play elsewhere.

UNPLEASANT DISRESPECTAL EXPERIENCE - Played this course today and drove the cart to go get the coffee I left in my vehicle before playing golf.
Some young punk who worked there with an attitude said carts weren't allowed in the parking lot not knowing that I've played there for over 35 years (longer than the boy has been alive) and told me to use the steps. After realizing that I've been in the parking lot numerous times in a golf cart. I confronted him again to ask why I can drive in any other day except for today?
He apologized then I said no you're not then he screamed and yelled at me making a scene and threatened to remove me from the tournament and the golf course.
Might want to rethink playing this course if they're going to allow employees to talk to their patrons like this. Respect your elders son.

This year is the worst shape I’ve seen this place in years. Greens are terrible most of the time and they seem to not know how to make tee times. Expect a 6 hour round if ur playing on the weekend. Not to mention their prices are outrageous for what you get. Much rather go to quicksilver down the road.

Greens were mostly burnt out and black in large patches on almost every hole after the front 9. Could be a really fun course if they could get the greens back into condition.

Absolute rip off. Over $50 to play a course and the greens were absolutely atrocious. Tons of divets and tons of dry brown patches. Idk if you're gonna overcharge for a less than mediocre course keep up with the greens. Holes are on top of eachother one shank and you gotta worry about taking out the guys on the hole next to you. Please save your money and go somewhere else

They were very friendly and welcoming. There the course was in good shape. There are are quite a few hills and holes that parallel each other. I can't rate it as a top course in the area but it was fun to play there once for variety. I noticed the lights on the front nine. Maybe they have some extended hours into the evening.

Played this course for my first time today. The guy in the pro shop was well mannered and nice as could be. The course was in great shape overall. Greens were in great shape compared to what I’m used to playing on. Carts have gps which is a really nice touch. All in all it was a great experience and I will be playing there again!

It's $62 to ride 18 for some reason. The greens are rock hard.. in April after lots of recent rain. I've never seen greens like these before. A nice wedge from 120 yards lands on the front of the green and bounces over the back. It's hard to justify the price to play 5.5+ hour rounds here. No clue why the snack shop on the turn wasn't open on a fully packed Sunday.
Edit: changing my review from 3 stars to 2. Rates are up even more than my prior review. The staff here are the most miserable people I've ever seen after spending $65 to play on mostly dead greens. They have some serious disease on all the greens so you get to putt on dirt. The staff act like they are mad at you for being there. The snack bar on the turn was open today but the hotdogs "weren't ready yet" said the young man working there. Why not??? So I grabbed a Gatorade and a Snickers for $6 instead.
Do not play here. Go to Lindenwood or Quicksilver for an additional $2 or $5. Side note: they removed GPS from the electric carts but the gas carts still have them. Insane.

The folks at this place need to come back to reality at some point. $38 for 9 holes (yes, only 9) is outrageous, and to top it off the greens were in horrible shape. Won't be back.

Golf cart brake broken. Course shabby. Too expensive for conditions.
