The customer service there is outstanding! They went out of their way to accommodate my autistic son with his first experience on a recumbent to make sure that he felt comfortable with it. Hopefully the funding goes thru and I can purchase the Rambler from them in the very near future. Thank you again for the outstanding service!

We are in our seventies and had used a few of Lancaster Recumbent's trikes at the Revolutions for Inclusion Bike Ride over the last few years. We used deltas and fell in love with the "bent" style. Our grandchildren loved us riding with them. Our daughter and a local dealer friend recommended we go visit these folks in Marietta. From the initial email with Sarah to meeting Sue, Scott, and Diane, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Every question answered and adjustments made under the watchful eyes of Dobby and Clementine. Thanks to you all. Our neighbors are so jealous and we feel like kids again. You just can't help but smile when you sit in these beauties. We are happily referring folks to you.

I was riding the Northwest River Trail on my bike several times a week. It was getting to the point where it was not enjoyable any more because of the saddle-inducing pain. Along the trail in Marietta is a signpost for businesses in town including Lancaster Recumbent. My wife has always talked about recumbents so we visited the shop. We took a test ride and ended up getting a Catrike Villager for her and a Trial for me. Sarah was very helpful in every aspect of the purchase. Scott showed us how to load the trikes on the Alpaca rack we purchased. It was a great experience that you don't get much these days. Just a great family business. We got to test the trikes and the rack on a trip to our cabin in Potter county. We are near the Pine Creek Rail Trail and broke in our trikes there. What fun! And no pain! My wife has a knee replacement and the other one needs done too but riding the Catrikes is pure bliss.

I took my recumbent bike to Lancaster Recumbent Bike Shop for a complete head to toe tune up. They did an excellent job. I just took it out for a 6.2 mile spin. I felt like I had my new bike back. People and Clementine (the shop dog and guard) are all top notch.

I have rented trikes for 3 years from Lancaster recumbent. 2022 is the year we became owners. I have now purchased 2 trikes from Lancaster Recumbent. One for my wife and one for me. Very happy with service, sales, everything. Fittings are very important. Staff takes the time to make sure trike is adjusted to fit you. I had bad knee pain on a 50+ mile ride. Mentioned to staff and they recommended pedal extenders. Problem solved. Ride 75 miles one weekend and zero pain. A personal riding record for me.So happy I’m finally back riding and with no pain or fatigue. I am now a trike rider permanently. Sold my 2 wheeled bikes.Customer for life now!Clementine, their shop dog is great too.

This is an incredible family business run by good people who have the utmost in respect for and patience with their customers. Last year, they helped me to purchase a very un-cheap recumbent trike from Germany, customized with all the bells and whistles to include a Rohloff Hub and Shimano Steps EP8 pedal assist. Every step of the way, the Barrows' were communicative about the next steps and transparent about all the costs associated with purchasing my recumbent. When I ordered it, I dealt mostly with Sarah, who did a lot of legwork in getting the customizations, delivery dates, and keeping me informed from order (January 2021) to delivery (June 2021, you may remember how COVID messed up the bike-delivery pipeline.) When I came in to take the bike home, Scott was very thorough in fitting the bike to me, as well as making sure I knew how to shift with a Rohloff and use the bike's computer to change assist levels. In fact, he even rode around Marietta with me to make sure I got the hang of it before I left to take my bike home. One thing I learned in this process is that paying for the first year tune-up at time of purchase is an extremely important part of your recumbent's longevity. To be quite honest, because of how far I live from the business (three and a half hours with no traffic if I don't so much as stop for a pee break) I probably wouldn't have brought it in for a tune-up. Because I had already paid for it, I brought it in, and I got to see all of the cool stuff they do to keep the bike running optimally, I became cognizant of the computer printout that shows health, use, and status of the bike and its components, and they even upgraded all the software and firmware for me. It helps you to realize how important these tune-ups are. It's not the most convenient thing to have to go that far for a tune-up, but they were all flexible and accommodated me on their busiest day to get this done. It greatly improves the chance that I shall return for next year's tune-up when I actually have to pay for the darn thing. I also appreciated that Scott was able to get some things fixed that I broke, like the telescoping pole that the flag sits on - he was able to fix that somehow, as well as get one of the rear mudguards/wheel well covers (whatever it's called, I don't know) back on and replaced the screw that got lost on the trail when it fell off. The bike is now in tip-top shape and I'm back on the trail getting my health in order. Thank you, Scott, Diane, Sarah, and Rosie! See you next year!

I truly wanted to leave this business a glowing review, but they did something that is an absolute pet peeve of mine. I was quoted a price (have a printout and everything), and then when I made the purchase the next day (when I could bring a vehicle to pickup and after applying for financing) the price was now 200.00 more than the quote. I expressed how I didn’t agree with that, but the owner didn’t seem to care.I was charged a 75.00 shipping surcharge for bikes that they will be receiving from the manufacturers that supposedly started the day I was purchasing (Saturday) and was not in effect on the day before (Friday). The bike was one they had in stock, so I assume I am being charged for a surcharge they will receive on the next bike that comes in. On top of that, now there appeared on the final invoice a “Custom Fitting Fee” of 125.00. I was not made aware of this fee, or exactly what it was for at any time. I am a BIG DUDE, 6’2”, and 2 things I told them I didn’t like during the test ride, was the wheels hitting my legs, and my legs hitting the cables. The did move the handlebars outward ½ inch, which they said was all that could be done. When I got home later, I noticed the seat had 2 places it could mount, moving my legs further away from the tires AND cables! Awesome, but shouldn’t that have been adjusted and brought to my attention during this 125.00 fee? I moved it myself at home and it’s much better. (see pic)So, overnight, the bike I bought rose in price by 10%. Don’t get me wrong, EVERYONE was very friendly and helpful in explaining recumbent bikes (I’m a newbie) and I am otherwise satisfied with my purchase. I was able to do 5 miles today, with no noticeable back discomfort. But, what good is a quote if when you go to make the purchase, it’s 200.00 higher?! I run a small business, and if I make a mistake and quote someone a price (it’s happened), you better believe my customer gets the original price.
