From the outside, Pure Joy is unassuming. It might have been a barn in its former life, but the gilded hands of renovation have removed its former indignity. When you enter, you have the distinct feeling that you're in the hands of your impossibly stylish older sister, and you just know you're going to love your new look.
I asked for some layers and a blonde balyage. I'd never dyed my curly hair before, and I was a bit nervous, until I met my stylist, Beth. She's as pretty as Belle, as kind as Sleeping Beauty, with the magic touch of Cinderella's Fairy Godmother. I half expected tiny woodland creatures to appear and lend their aide.
She took the (many) inspiration photos and absolutely nailed it. I don't think I've ever been happier with a final result as I've been with my style at Pure Joy. As I left, I think even my car shone a little redder. If I meet Prince Charming, I now have hair worthy of a fairy-tale ending, thanks to Pure Joy.

I’ve been coming here for a couple years now and I always see Abby. She is an amazingly talented stylist! My hair is dark and pulls very warm when lightened. Yet somehow she always delivers the “ashy” blonde highlights I’m looking for. She is a magician!

Ashley is my hairdresser and she does an excellent job! We have such a fun time catching up and there are other times where I completely spaced out and can almost fell asleep in the chair. Wonderful place and wonderful staff!

Ashley dose my hair, and she's lighting fast, understands what you want done, and doesn't go off on her own cutting something else totally bizarre. She's the perfect hair artist in my opinion. I'm so happy I found her! You won't be disappointed if you try her.
