My 15 year-old cat Harry had slowly been losing weight for several months. My vet here in New Jersey did some blood work which came back normal and told me the weight loss was most likely due to a food preference issue. I tried some different foods and Harry continued to lose weight. My vet ordered an ultrasound of Harry's abdomen and told me he was sure Harry had lymphoma based on the ultrasound results. The only treatment offered was symptomatic treatment with steroids. I wanted a second opioion and options for chemotherapy if Harry indeed had cancer, and found Blue Pearl in Malvern.Because Harry's cancer diagnosis was presumptive and not definitive, I was referred to veterinary internist Dr. Peralta. She ordered extensive bloodwork, a new ultrasound, and eventually a biopsy that did not show lymphoma. Harry is now being treated for an inflammatory bowel process, has gained back over a pound, and is more spry and energetic than he's been in the last couple of years.I can't say enough about the level of care Harry has gotten from Dr. Peralta and the team at Blue Pearl in Malvern. They have been 100% on point with everything to the extent that I was assigned a unique text message number just for communication about Harry. Dr. Peralta has spent more time with me and has been more thorough than any medical provider I've ever had for myself or any animal in my life. Her nurse Alexa responds quickly to any questions or issues I have. Blue Pearl is expensive, but you get what you pay for and if you love your pet like I love my beautiful Harry, the cost is well worth knowing you are getting the absolute best veterinary care available.

Unfortunately, I am unable to leave a very good review of this hospital. It has taken me a year to write this review, and it was only the death of my pet (1/12/24) that finally gave me the desire to follow through with it. December 26, 2022 was the day of my dog's ultrasound which uncovered an inoperable bladder tumor. It was a blessing that my daughter was able to attend with us. We never met the doctor, ever. A technician came and took our dog for the scan and then we were moved from the waiting room to a private room where the doctor called us with the sad news. He was given 4-6 months. I broke down and my daughter was able to continue the conversation. A conversation lacking in compassion, cold, lacking any feeling. A conversation that was more concerned about other tests we could do to see if the cancer spread etc. What would be the purpose of more tests other than more money. And if you look at the time line, our dog survived a little more than a year from the test so the doctor wasn't even close. How sad to feel that this doctor/facility has lost the ability to show the love that is so needed during this very difficult struggle we were having.

Took our 10 year old cat here because of continuous vomiting and an asthma flare up. I had called another recommended emergency vet first and was told they were too full, which I was not expecting. When I called Blue Pearl (also recommended by our vet), the person who answered the phone took our info and told us to come right away. Staff greeted us on arrival and took our cat back right away for examination. They stabilized him and Dr. Aharon went over possibilities and treatment options. She was wonderful, as was all the staff we encountered, and she asked and answered a lot of questions. I never felt pressured to do anything and in the end decided to try a more conservative approach and was pleasantly surprised when it came time to pay the bill. Glad to have found a reliable and caring emergency vet.

Cannot say enough good things about this location! My 7 month old puppy Lola has had recurring issues and eventually needed surgery. She received care at Blue Pearl in Malvern several times and everyone we came into contact with on both the ER side and specialty side was absolutely fantastic- so informative and patient, and well worth the money. Lola and I are so appreciative of Dr. Reagan and all of the staff here!

Unfortunately this review is solely based on my negative and only experience with the hospital.I scheduled a consult for my dog to be seen about 2 and a half weeks out. It is a 6 hour round trip for me to go to the hospital. Initially the secretary was going to schedule me Wednesday she realized she had one a day earlier on Tuesday. Great 9a.m. Tuesday. So we drive 3 hours one way to be told the secretary scheduled it the wrong day and there's nothing they can do. I was unsure if it was actually Tuesday or Wednesday. I checked when I got home, I was told it was Tuesday. But now I don't have the financial means to travel there again on Wednesday(when she actually scheduled it), which they made clear, they don't care about. So here I am defeated, with a sick animal for another 2 weeks until I can afford the trip again. Thanks Blue Pearl.

I write this with tears in my eyes, for the loss of my pet and how incredibly grateful I am for this location. My beautiful cat of 22 years was passing this morning and before we could make it, he passed in my arms. I called at 5:30 in the morning and they were so kind. When we arrived, they greeted us with kindness and understanding. They were the only place open and without question they helped. They put us in a beautiful room equipped with comfortable seating and an endless supply of tissues. They gently took my baby and said they were going to check him over and promised they would be right back. This beautiful soul of a nurse came back with our baby, wrapped gently in a blanket and told us he was gone. They let us grieve and grieved with us. They gently took him back after we said our final goodbyes and the wonderful receptionist talked us through our options. Every step they were kind and gentle. Never rushed or pushed us. They cared for my sweet guy as much as we did. What a wonderful place that supported us at this most difficult time. I will be forever grateful for the staff and their kindness and understanding.

Dr. Maria went above and beyond in caring for my beloved dog Bruiser. Understanding my concerns about sedation, she demonstrated exceptional compassion and skill, successfully treating him without the need for sedation. I'm truly grateful for her dedication and the outstanding care provided.

All of the staff are helpful, friendly, and above all else take terrific care of our dog! Especially if your pet needs to see a specialist, I highly recommend.

Every professional I have met at BluePearl has been compassionate and professional. The experience with the oncology and radiation therapy team was markedly better than at VRC. As a medical professional, I was struck how much more educated they were regarding recent literature than the competitor group. They treat the pets and families with respect, and I highly recommend BluePearl for specialty and urgent care.

Best emergency vet around. I've had a few cats that had to be put down, they took great care of me and my pet. Then gave me a beautiful leather paw print memorial.I just had an emergency with my dog Brutus and even though they are pricey, they're worth every penny! They took such great care of him and made me feel comfortable. Glad I brought him here!!

Last week, our family had to make the decision to do the hardest thing a pet owner has to do. We took our beloved 12 year old chihuahua, Sobe, to BluePearl after he took a spill down the stairs. Unfortunately, Sobe suffered a neurological event. The entire team at BluePearl supported us as we said goodbye to our sweet boy. I cannot express how very grateful we are for your compassion and kindness! We will never forget it. Many thanks, from the Reidy family xoxo

This review is long overdue but the oncology team here is truly one in a million. Dr. Mullin and her team of nurses are absolutely amazing. We drove 2 hours each way once sometimes twice a month for 9 months while our sweet girl was receiving chemo for stage 5 b cell lymphoma. The staff here treats you like family and your pet like it was their own. Although the odds weren’t in our favor the staff never gave up on us and were always in our corner rooting for our girl Layla.Thank you Tara, Elyse, Courtney, Anne, Kirsten, Caitlin, Devon, Rachel, and Dr. Mullin

This was our first time having to take our cat to the emergency vet and we had a wonderful experience. The whole team, from the front desk staff, nurses, and doctors were all very kind and thoughtful. They were very receptive to any and all questions, and to my worried phone calls. Our cat is there overnight now and i am confident he will be in good hands. The nurse has been communicating with us through text which is wonderful. Highly recommend

We just had our second experience at Bluepearl Malvern and couldn’t be happier. Our goldendoodle had a TPLO during COVID and we weren’t able to go in with her, but Dr. Scott Roberts and all the staff did an excellent job explaining everything and answering our questions. Ries recently tore her other knee ligament, and it was an easy choice to see Dr. Roberts again. Being able to see the office this time only reinforced that this was an easy decision. The entire staff, from front desk to nurses are amazing and thorough. They have a great text system to keep you updated from the time anesthesia starts to post-op care. I even received a text the morning after surgery checking on our dood. They are very upfront about cost, expectations, and recovery. It was well worth the hour drive for us to use this office, and would highly recommend for any specialty vet care.
