We stayed at the Desmond for the weekend of our wedding in June 2024, and also included them as a room block for our guests. The Desmond is a great hotel for your wedding weekend if you are having your wedding in the surrounding area. It is close to multiple shopping centers, restaurants, and other activities for your guests. It also has a great lobby, bar, and terrace setup for welcome drinks, after parties, and wedding brunches. The staff and management was great about communicating throughout the entire process and many of our guests complimented the property. We would recommend the Desmond for your wedding weekend.

We stayed at the Desmond a couple of weeks ago for a wedding, and our stay there was amazing. The hotel did a great job with the wedding. The only place Desmond fell short was in the atrium or garden room. There were lights out in the chandeliers and missing shades. It was surprising they ignored that detail. Next, I believe Kelly was one of the main servers for the restaurants and room service, and she provided outstanding service. She was hustling the three days we were there.

I have never stayed at a DoubleTree hotel and it was the BEST! There is one in Reading near to where I live. I've had great experiences attending events there and this one at Malvern is right up there!! The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful. I had a second floor balcony room that was awesome to sit out and view the June full rose moon! Chocolate chip cookies were delicious. The wait staff for meals were very pleasant and would go out of their way to help you (Fran, our server). Food was extraordinary...filet mignon and chicken . We had adorable chocolate mousse in little flower pots with little shovels as spoons. I was there for the Herb Society of America conference and the facility was just perfect for our needs. Beds were very comfortable, too. Thank you!

Great Stay. Room was spacious, clean and QUIET. Location is awesome for walking. Plenty of trails and sidewalks for long walks. Location is also great for entertainment amenities directly across street within walking distance. We had dinner at the hotel and the food was super delicious. Prepared and presented in unique way for the experience. Desk staff and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. Big yes on recommendation.

The Desmond is a great place to hold your wedding. The ballroom is stellar and everyone who works there is very attentive and friendly. Great little spot outside to take advantage of sunsets.

I’m surprised by the high ratings for this hotel. I’d say it’s 2-3 stars max. The room was dark, dingy and old. The bed was concave and I woke up with a massive back ache. Lastly, in the bathroom there was long black hair all over the ceiling - very strange. We were staying here for a soccer tournament but I will never stay here again. Additionally, there were loud kids running and screaming in the hallways and the walls are paper thin. Good luck getting any sleep. The only positive is that the room didn’t have any odor.

The hotel is adequate but could use some updating. The rooms are decently spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable. However, the rooms are outdated. All of the furniture was older and the carpet was very worn down.
Also, the wi-if in the hotel was not the best. I had access to the Hilton Diamond wi-fi and it would rarely stay connected and was unreliable. This definitely was not a benefit for being a diamond member for Hilton.
The hotel is spacious and has a decent restaurant but the food is overpriced for what you get. There are a few restaurants across the street that you can walk to that have better food options for a much better price. There are also quite a few restaurants within driving distance.

Delivered to this property last week, the events and catering manager (did not get her name) was extremely helpful and courteous...not so much for the woman at the check-in.

I was not an overnight guest, but I did come here for an event. The employees were nice and discreet and the catering was nice. I liked the atmosphere in the room and the hallways as well. Overall, decent hotel experience overall.
