Always a great experience at Pocono

My second NASCAR cup series race, so I can only compare it to Dover. First, the negatives: Facilities and grounds aren't as nice as Dover, and their "fan zone" doesn't offer as much. The food options should be better integrated into the merchandise and Armed Forces areas. Instead, you have to go inside the outer perimeter of the race venue to get food. The interior felt rundown and needs some attention. Feels dated. The staff was incredibly confused. It rained prior to the race, so we were told nobody was allowed on the track that day with Paddock passes. Then, they opened it up, and we were allowed to pass. We waited in one line to access the track for 20 minutes. Then someone from staff came over and told us another gate opened and there was no line. We moved to that line, only to be told that this new gate would not open to the track. It was misqueues and miscommunication like this all day long. We had pretty good tickets but were not high enough. Sight lines were difficult anywhere outside of the grandstand straightaway. Once the cars hit turn 1, you had to watch all the action on the big screen. The positives? Great, enthusiastic crowd and great play-by-play from NASCAR radio. As usual, fans were polite and courteous, and even when there was confusion, everyone kept their cool. It was definitely the best professional sports crowd I've ever been around. The straightaway is the longest in NASCAR (or so I was told). Nobody got hurt! It was extremely easy to get in and out of the venue compared with Dover, where it took an hour and a half to leave! And we did not pay to park!

Worst NASCAR experience ever! I spent 3 hours in traffic due to the lack of somewhat professional parking management. Between the rows was enough room to u-turn a semi truck, while the incompetent personal was unable to get people into the parking area, causing a gigantic traffic jam. We decided to park on private property and walk the last 2 miles to the track, just to find out, that they wouldn't let me in because of my "media style" lens, whatever that is. The person told me that it was clearly written on the website, but was unable to find it herself. They were nice enough though to offer to dispose my $2000 lens and let me in. With the kid in tears I walked back to the car to drop off the lens and in the end we missed half of the race.
Thanks Pocono and NASCAR for ruining this race and family experience we looked forward to for months!

Pocono is a great event for fans and competitors. Plenty to do for the fans. Track competition is exciting with three different turns and angles. The longest and widest front stretch in NASCAR.

Most disgusting grandstands I’ve ever sat in . Total filth. Power washing goes a long way. The filth was on the seats & under the seats ( layers from years of neglect) ????. Not a repeat track on my schedule !!!

Made terrible planning for Nascar day closing the roads forcing my party to wait in a lot for hours with no estimate of traffic ending. My wife is type 1 diabetic and the stress this placed on us was unnecessary and ruined my day. Thank you for your terrific skills of informing all navigation apps of your road closure.

Absolutely horrendous! Paid $1500 fand couldn’t even get in. Over 4 hours in traffic that didn’t move because they closed parking due to weather. Don’t waste your money. Go anywhere but here!

I’m so disappointed in pocono race way discriminating my own mother trying to see her only son before he goes to the Air Force refuse her entry made her throw her umbrella
Away when it was raining but didn’t do it to anyone else frisk her twice and violated her her the only one out of everyone and I had to hear and find out about it and it had to happen when I wasn’t their all those thing I wouldn’t have stand for it and would had put them in their place and hope they do

It was the most fun I ever had with kids around! I went for the car race event over the weekend while kids under 12 are free. They have an incredible amount of tents and games. There are bouncy houses all over, free prizes, BUBBLES, and the race is so fun to watch! I had an amazing day with very nice people around. I even did rock climbing for the first time! You just have to be prepared with a cooler because of how hot it can get outside during this time of year. The prices are what they are, i wont say its super cheap but it is possibly affordable for most families. Make sure you bring a good amount of cash on you. Its not only a place for kids but adults too! Alcohol is also available!
