“We found this hotel in Sept when we needed somewhere to stay for Parents weekend and were so pleased we just stayed again this past weekend with a group of friends. It is a family owned hotel and you can truly see the hard work and love they're pouring into it. The owners are super friendly and make you feel right at home. They also have a bar and the special drinks were outstanding! We have found a new place to stay when we visit PA.”

“Rooms: Awesome we chilled in the jacuzzi!Nearby activities: My grandfathers STS Susquehanna Trail System, ATV Trails, Triple Divide campgroundWalkability: Just had a blizzard damn near but they had it cleared out in a shake or two of a lambs tale!! Even with a tree leaning across the electric lines and completely blocking the road Black Forrest Owners worked hard to cater to my fiancé and I making sure we were well taken care of.Food & drinks: Great IPA selections.Noteworthy details: My new friends far surpassed any expectation’s. Been wanting a reason to stay here since I was a little kid growing up and living my life in these hills. When I was a young kid back in the early 80’s black Forrest used to have these cross country skiing events that flashed before my eyes now that I’m older I find that I really love this part of the country more than anything.”

“I give 5 stars to a hotel that should be an industry 3star, not industry 2star accommodation.Its not fancy and plush, but it was definitely clean, simple, spaceous, polite/friendly employees, breakfast, pet friendly, nice grounds, and the towels looked newish....and all the parts functioned properly.... the on/off faucets worked on/off, the air heater / cooler heated and cooled, the drains drained. Gazebo ourside hqd a table, a path, trash cans, and located near the pet station in a nicely mowed field.Haha, the bed was softer than my liking, but I joke that the company didn't phone for my opinion when furnishing the facility... and turns out I slept just fine.I dont know if there weren't any trains, or if I couldn't hear them indoors through the night.”
