I do NOT recommend Dr. James Sioma to anyone. Only being under his care for three months, he bragged endlessly of the awards and accolades he has received during his career more than listening to my symptoms. He continued to not comply with our care plan, lied during several appointments and did not report that actual appointment events in the after visit summary notes. He stated medical articles, but failed to provide any information when asked to back his claims. His bedside manner is nonexistent.

I started seeing Dr. Sioma a few months ago. I have had four appointments since. Every experience has been beyond my expectations. Communications with the staff and time spent at my appointment have been nothing but exceptional.

Front desk staff are so rude & impatient! Dr Sioma is the only good thing about this place. The nurses/medical assistants are okay but rude also. I’ve been going on & off about the same issues for some time and still no solution. Please, if you value your health go elsewhere!!!!

Worst practice I’ve ever been to! So disorganized and every time I go the staff is all new.

Don't pick up and hang up on your patients. Absolutely horrible front desk service.

Yearly check up for my son. The ONLY physical exam Dr. Bakhari did was listening to the heart. There was no listening to lungs, looking at eyes, ears, throat, palpating the abdomen, lymph nodes, reflexes, spine etc. - as you would expect from a thorough exam. Honestly, don’t even think he looked at my son”s chart because his first comment to him was “ you look sleepy today”. Yes, had he actually read the chart and his medical history he probably would’ve seen that the only thing that was really listed other than the seasonal allergies is that he has ptosis - droopy eyelids- so yes- he always looks sleepy. They also listed seasonale birth control as an allergy… not sure how it was misunderstand seasonal allergies and a female birth control for a male patient and continued on to add shortness of breath as a side effect when that was not at all the conversation!? Seasonal allergies with sinus congestion WAS the conversation. Will not return to this office. Constant change of providers is more than frustrating.

My first experience was less than stellar. I called at 11:51am on January 31, 2022 to inquire about new patient eligibility and heard the phone picked up than quickly hung-up. I called back immediately an "Lisa" answered this this time but she said "hello" twice and immediately hung-up. My third attempt, she answered and proceeded to answer my questions but when I asked to be scheduled, she said "Hello" twice again and hung-up! At this point I wanted to rule out I was the problem an restarted my phone. Upon calling back at 12:05pm the phone line was redirected to Hanover UPMC.I can only assume, you're not supposed to call leading up to lunch.. It's hard to say if I'll try again.

I am a new patient here and just wanted to say I am happy so far. Dr. Bukhari is my doctor and he's been getting good publicity in the area. When I met him he said he takes care of babies too so I will be bringing my kids to him so don't have to drive to Gettysburg. He is very quick, doesn't care much for banter, but I like that because I don't want to talk to him about anything except my problems. Hope he stays but I heard the administration usually kicks out doctors every few years so who knows.

Dr. Bukhari diagnosed me with thyroid cancer and he has been fantastic, always follows up, and he is seeing me and my 1 year old and 2 year old kids and husband now. I asked him why he only spends like 5 minutes with us every visit and he said administration only gives him 20 minute slots, and after rooming and computer work its down to 5-10 minutes per patient. So, I guess the administrators are hurting for cash, but Dr. Bukhari still does a better job than anyone else i've ever seen, esp since he figured out I had cancer when my previous pcp, a nurse practitioner, could not.

Dr. Bukhari takes the time to listen to me and explain things. He actually explained what was going on with me instead of all the other people I have seen with upmc. I used to see a NP and a PA at another place and they were not educated and messed me up bad. I think seeing a doctor is important because it saves you money cuz you don't need as many tests and extra specialists. Thanks.

We love Dr Bukhari! He is fresh and knows all the uptodate medical knowledge that old docs do not. He knows what medicines are old and don’t work no more and he is profess and kind. I respect him and I know he spends more time w people depending on how sick they are. So I am happy when he only sees me for 10 minutes cuz I know I ain’t that sick. I hope he stays forever.

I have been coming here for like ten years and I just recently switched to Dr. Bukhari. He is way better than anyone in that building. I highly recommend him. He is quick and I don't have to wait long to see him, so i can be in and out with my business. highly recommend. 10/10.
