Always a great experience. Purchased many vehicles at Lakes and would 100% recommend them.

I just bought a used mini van from Lake. I was very pleased with the process. Atticus, our sales man was very helpful, but not high pressure. And after I decide to buy they really bent over backward for me. Even driving to my place to get my wife signature so she could say home with the children. Would recomend them to anyone.

370 Dollar Surprise.
Wrangler taken here for loose wire to be tracked. 369 dollars to be told there is no problem without any upfront estimate of cost. Unbelievable. Always had upfront cost from the Lake Chevy! I feel my wife was taken advantage of by this location.

Excellent dealership to work with. Our salesman Bryson Hicks went above and beyond to make the sale happen. Things started off rocky when I first showed up to the dealership but Bryson and his team worked overtime to seal the deal which included delivering my truck and all the paperwork to my house almost 80 miles away. They definitely earned my respect and future business!!

TLDR - avoid their service center if you want quality repairs and/or don't want to waste your time/money. They epitomize the term "stealership" in terms of both time and money.
I brought my truck to this OEM service center to get an OEM quality repair for a problem with my rear turn signal. They get one star for partially diagnosing the issue. Unfortunately, the repair I got was far from OEM quality. They could have replaced a damaged section of electrical harness with a Mopar harness for $60 (retail cost from Mopar's website) plus about 5 minutes labor to do it. Instead, they spliced a few wires, wrapped them with electrical tape, and charged me $275 to do that. That's on top of the $137 they charged me to look under my truck and spot the damaged wires which, if I had to guess, took less than 10 minutes based on where they were.
Instead of getting my truck back with an OEM harness, I spent $413 to get a fix that could have been done in anybody's driveway for free - aside from a couple bucks in electrical tape... They also kept the spare tire hoist access cover from my truck.
The two hard lessons I learned and that you can benefit from here:
1. Do your homework before you take your vehicle into them for service. It's a shame you have to practically be an expert on the thing you want them to fix but they won't offer the best repair/service option for you - they'll offer the one that benefits them the most financially.
2. Check everything they do to make sure they put back what they take off - I can't imagine having anything done with my brakes or tires here - I'd be afraid they'd forget the lug nuts or brake pads!
And just for reference, they don't charge by the precise amount of time they actually have your vehicle under their care. They either start charging the minute you check in with them and give them the keys OR they round up to the nearest hour instead of charging for the precise amount of time they work on your vehicle. Mine was in their shop for about 2.5 hours and they charged me for 3 hours labor.
4/30/2024 Update:
Nothing but lip service from Lake's reply to my review. Nobody has contacted me.
Full disclosure - I tried working with the service manager, Zach Adams, before posting my review. However, when I proposed what I thought was fair, he stopped responding.
What I proposed was a refund of half the bill and that still had me paying them for 1.5 hours labor - more than enough to diagnose the damaged wires (easily visible from under the truck) and replace the harness instead of taping wires together.
And to whomever wrote Lake's reply - you're partially right but instead of misconceptions or misunderstandings, there were too many assumptions made.
First, I assumed an OEM dealer would give me the best solution to my problem (even if it was overpriced). Instead, I got the least quality repair possible at the highest cost possible.
And second, your service department assumes electrical tape is the best method to repair wiring and that backyard mechanic repairs justify $130 an hour to make.

I went down to CDJR Lake Dealership in Lewistown looking to hopefully swap my 2014 Silverado for a used 2019 Ram 2500 Cummins. At first we were about $10k apart on the price but after a day my sales rep, Atticus Croman, gave me a call indicating they could make my number work by giving me a greater amount for my trade in. The truck had several small issues that only became apparent after I had been driving it for a little while but Atticus and the CDJR Lake team stood by it and fixed all the issues and even drove up to my house in State College to pick up the truck to take back to their shop in Lewistown and left a rental so that I was not inconvenienced at all (Atticus even topped off the fuel). I’ve never trusted any dealerships until this one and thoroughly recommend and stand behind Atticus and Dodge Lake in Lewistown.

Worse experience I have had with a dealership in a long time. I understand the fact of up selling for sales but this was ridiculous, so had my sisters dodge in for a ticking noise in the value train. Was told all 4 cams and all 24 rocker arms were bad and needed replacement. After doing some research and realizing that it’s a common issue with the 3.6 engines, I was curious as to what side of the engine was actually bad, so when down to pick it up and was told every cam and rocker was bad which I know wasn’t true, so I asked to speak with the tech that worked on the car and was told I wasn’t allowed as he was busy. I am sorry if I am paying $370 for a diagnosis I would expect for them to truthfully answer my questions. I know them being a dealership and a reputable company they need to tell you the right way it should be done I understand that. But for them to refuse to give me the correct answer and be completely unprofessional about in my opinion isn’t right after paying $370 for them to tell me what was wrong. Updated* I dug into it myself and found out only one value cover was pulled as you can see the newer rtv on the passenger side and on the driver side it still as dirty as when it went in… also only one cam is scored not all 4 as advertised… just as a word of caution always get a second opinion on service work. Now they did reach out and offer to rip it apart and show us what was wrong for free, at this point we nicely declined the service.

Atticus is a wonderful person I had bought my Jeep here previously and was looking into upgrading to something different. I did not end up buying the Ford edge that lake had available. I bought a vehicle from another dealership but he was still so great and understanding. He congratulated me on my new purchase, and wished me the best of luck. He’s just such an honest wonderful person. my next vehicle purchase, I will definitely consider lakes. I would have this time for sure if they had what I was looking for. The lake experience is a great experience.
