Came in close to closing for the weekend. Mechanic took a look @ it, saw that was a pretty simple fix and got me on my way, for a very fair price!

I’m not a bad shade-tree mechanic, so I can speak with a little sophistication. This place is great. You will NOT get ripped off here. Buck developed a great culture, and the dedication to excellent service continues.

Very good experience with them. They took my car in on a Saturday December 23th and worked for it for a fair amount of time due to a blown up alternator. Honestly they were a life saver. Service was good, friendly, courteous and professional. Would recommend them.

We brought our Toyota Camry in a few weeks ago because for the last few months we’ve heard this awful whirling sound and vibrating, and we were told by Bucks that the front left bearing needed changed. We came back a few days later, and we got that front left bearing changed.Driving it off the lot, it still sounded terrible. In fact, it sounded worse. It was so bad that we drove right back to the garage. We got there, and the guy that had worked on it appeared to think our concern was funny as he laughed it off saying that he’s sure it was the front left and not the right bearing or anything else. He said the worst that could happen is that the tire could lock up. Locking up can lead to accidents…bad accidents. We didn’t think it was laughable, but what could we do at that point…we came back about a week and a half later to get it looked at again. This time another guy was there and he sits down and tells us that the front left bearing “failed.” He was explaining that when it was pressed in, it wasn’t pressed in right, and as a result the bearing failed and the hub was damaged. Then he goes on to getting a quote for a front left hub and a front left bearing…and something about a front right hub which we had no idea about. Anyway, the guy was throwing all kind of discounts at us, and because we actually really like a lot of the people we’ve spoken to there, we were like sure, do whatever you need to do. (However, one would think that because their shop messed up the job in the first place, you would offer to re do the work and fix the damage they caused free of charge)So they order the hub assembly with the bearing and tells us to come back sometime around noon the next day. Next day we try giving them a call and they aren’t sure if the hub assembly has been ordered but it’s the day before Thanksgiving so we were really trying to get it done. After a bit of phone tag, we were told that it would be in around 2, so that’s when we took the vehicle in to get the work done. We show up and the hub assembly came in WITHOUT BEARINGS!!!We end up leaving the shop with a tentative agreement to get the work sometime in the next week.Thanskgiving we spoke with family about our experience and they suggested going elsewhere. we ended up picked up a car rental because we were nervous about our car locking up…the sound was terrible. Luckily Steve Shannon in Bloomsburg was able to fit us in. Lo and behold, there was nothing even wrong with our front left bearing or hub. In fact, the issue was the front RIGHT bearing and the hub was fine. We spoke to the mechanic who worked on the car and he was rather shocked at the incompetence shown by Bucks and had no idea how someone could come to the conclusion that the left bearing and hub were incorrectly installed and were damaged. After replacing the right hand bearing, the car is completely fine now. No sounds or anything and drives like new.It was really something special with what we experienced. I’m happy we got it taken care of because if we would’ve gone back to Bucks garage and got the front left bearing fixed, we’d have been out who knows how much money and time because the issue still would’ve been the front right bearing. Not to mention, that’s precious time your garage would’ve wasted working on an otherwise perfect front left bearing! With having to rent a car and having the wrong bearing installed. We’ve pretty much lost around $900 on a job that ended up costing $220. Their shop not only misdiagnosed the issue, it then tried to add on a heap of other repairs the car didn’t even need. God knows if the left bearing even needed replacing at all.If you do end up taking your vehicle here, get a second opinion if it’s a difficult job. And DO NOT take your vehicle there for wheel bearings under any circumstance!

I will never go here again. My vehicle needed the transmission replaced a year and a half ago, and not only did it take about 6 months for them to do the work, the manager there was rude and didn't care about his work. After yelling at me for telling him to replace the timing chain (because he didn't want to be told what to do) he ended up taking even longer to repair it because he had to take it apart again when it wasn't running properly because it did actually need the timing chain replaced. He didn't take my calls half the time and didn't update me. He finally called and said to come get it. When I went in to get it, he handed me the keys to drive it off the lot, and I would have if I hadn't noticed the engine light was on. I went back into the shop and asked why the engine light was on. He explained why. I asked if it would ruin the car to drive it, and he said yes. So after taking 6 months and $8k for all the repairs, he was going to let me ruin the vehicle by driving it home. I had to tell him to fix it again. It's been about 1 year since I got the car back, and the transmission is dead. Now looking for another vehicle. Don't trust this guy. I would have gone somewhere else in the first place but everywhere else was booked.

The staff at Buck's is efficient, honest, and delivers great service. What I like about Buck's is that I can ask what the price of a service will be ahead of time, and by the time I pay for the service, the price quoted is the price charged. They call me before providing an additional service that my car needs in order to verify whether it will be okay. For this reason, I do not go to anyone else in Lewisburg. You don't find service like this often.

We were three hours into a nine hour trip to our state of NC when our a/c went out. We just knew it would take hours (IF they could even fix it) or possibly the next day to have it repaired without an appointment.Joe pretty much met my husband at the door and reassured us he could help with our issue. He immediately made a couple phone calls and ordered the part we needed. He allowed us to wait in the waiting area with our two small dogs and within the hour, we were literally back on the road! With us being from out of town, we just knew that the repair would be double the cost of what it was, (because, in reality there are some not so honest people out there) but this was not at all the case. He even threw in a couple other complementary items that he checked because he knew we had another 400 miles or more to go...A+++ service. Thank you, Joe! You are a man of integrity and honesty and we are so appreciative.
