“This is a decent little place to cruise for treasures. Tons of stuff but not overly crowded or overwhelming. Not a lot of "guy" stuff available on my visit but certainly enough to keep you interested and cruising. It's also obscenely clean here. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.”
“Such a nice thrift shop well kept very clean. Doesn't smell funny inside. They decorate with what they have and it always looks nice. The staff is so nice and helpful. Wished they had a bigger space!”
“Stumbled across this gem during a Friday night stroll on mill street. As an antique enthusiast, this is undoubtedly the best antique shop I’ve came across! Carmine was an absolute pleasure and I will surely be back soon!
10/10”
“Very friendly and knowledgeable owner. Store is full of a variety of sports memorabilia, but mostly local sports. A large selection of baseball cards and baseball related items are the main focus. Worth the visit.”
“This place is a hidden gem the thrift of all thrift. They have tag specials everyday. EMPLOYEES are helpful n nice. I LOVE THIS PLACE . 2nd ave thrift over priced for a thrift store. This place is a 11 out of 10 for me. Visit this place have a wonderful day”
“I had such an amazing time shopping here. The clothes are in great condition, name brands and luxury at very reasonable prices. The owner was lovely to chat with and even fellow customers were giving me great advice. It's definitely more than a boutique: there's an ambiance of female camaraderie for beauty, shopping, and celebrating the thrill of a great deal and feeling gorgeous.
Newtown has needed a shop like this for decades and it's finally here.
I am over the moon with the 6 items I purchased: two dresses, a blouse, palazzo pants, and a sweet crochet sweater/coverlet.
Consingment may only be as good as the pieces a place can obtain but clearly Alice knows what's going to work well for her clients. There's casual wear, work wear, resortwear, and also evening, party, and formal wear. Designer shoes and bags.
I will definitely be back to see what new pieces she brings in.”
“This place is great. You'll be hard pressed to find such deals anywhere else local. Colleen, Sue and Toni are awesome, kind and helpful. Been there lots of times.”
“Popped by Rebecca's on my way to get coffee, and they have SUCH a nice collection of vintage furs and sparkly beaded dresses. Prices are a bit on the pricier end, but everything is in really nice condition, so I think it's justified.”
“4 stars due to the wide variety of shoes. Customer service here is great. They have a good selection on clothing as well. Got a pair of Tim's that were no where else from here. Now those Tim's are everywhere.”
“Prices across the board are higher...costs to run the place are always rising....utilities, building maintenence, insurance., salaries, etc .....But a big reason for higher prices is the people who flocked here in recent years to purchase things super cheap and resale on line..ruined it for the low income consumer who honestly needs to save money. MOST things are still cheaper than if you went to the mall.”
“Updating my review!!! I feel like corporate may have listened to the comments and other lifetime 2nd Ave shoppers that were upset about the changes and the pricing being way too high. They still have some work to do with it.... However I was happy to see them add in some random, and out of the norm, sale days recently. The 25% off Tuesday. And I loved getting the new emailed coupons. You can tell they made some changes and they are for the better. They also have gotten a lot better as far as quality and condition. Much better! Finally hats off to the Philly Managers - the store looked spotless, they are all always super nice, helpful, and they remember me and greet me right away every time I’m there even after not being there for awhile. Happy to be able to change my review.”
“Decent place if you're looking to buy rather than sell. They're for-profit, you won't get a lot of money selling your stuff here. Prices when buying are fair, 7-9 dollars for a tee shirt or 15 for pants (mens) is better than paying 40$ for something brand new. Selection is pretty stylish and you will usually find at least a couple things you'll like. One big downside is the smell, the clothes are washed with this awful smelling detergent and you should make sure to wash the smell out when you get home. Otherwise a good place to thrift at.”
“I can definitely say I love the way that your store displays the pants and other items. The staff is very efficient. On the not so good side I know for certain my items are worth more and I am disappointed in little amount I received, as I know my denim jackets with original tags new are worth much more. Yet I only received $47 for my higher priced items. Since my friend took me to your store, I decided to rid myself of the burden and even donated the remainder of my belongings. I did not feel the respect that I deserved for my time and gas and l sense that you you made you made out big in the end. So I could really use the $100! My time is more valuable then you priced it. I did not even get a Merry Xmas. I guess that as well. I gave 5 stars for the potential of your stores, not for the fairness. I worked in public for years, and I am excellent when it comes to the content and fairness of service. I did not get what I've given over the years. The customer service though professional, lacks in true respects and human kindness. So please higher people who really love working with the public. I have lived a life beyond the world they come from and customer service is everything!!!! In other words, your store is great, the value, and value of people need some work! Snobs belong in Beverly hills and silicone valley, talented people like me don't have to be fake snobs! Oh, and Merry Xmas ?? the best customer you ever had, Mark F”
