I've lived in the area my entire life, but only over the past few years have been going here. Wish I would have started sooner. The food is delicious, the deserts are to die for and the atmosphere is authentic. Service is attentive as well. This place is a true gem!

I had the combination platter with breaded butterfly shrimp, meatloaf, corn and potato filling with gravy. Everything was excellent. I took home s piece of the caramel apple crumb pie and it was the best pie I ever had, you can definitely tell it's homemade. Can't wait to go back and try some other things.

I finally got to have a very taseteful delicious meal out. With my gluten and dairy free diet, I'm usually stuck with plain grilled chicken or a burger. But the chicken with bourbon bbq, red pepper cabbage, and potato fritters were amazing! And our server was so sweet. She took the time to go over the whole menu with me ?I am definitely going back!

Chicken pot pie was overcooked noodles and chicken chunks in water (not broth, water). I was given the wrong pie slice and paid 7$ for it. They overcharged me for the special by ringing in each thing separately, when I complained they said they didn’t know how to ring it in like it’s written on the menu and walked away.Poor food, poor service, 40$ bill for a meal for one.

This was excellent! 2nd time coming here and everything was AMAZING!! I absolutely love the home cooked meals here! My personal favorite so far is the country fried steak and for dessert is the shoo fly pie!! Staff is very friendly and service was excellent! But seriously, my complements to the chef for the amazing food!

What can I say that hasn’t been said. Steve and his staff are a gem. The food is scratch made and always great, at very reasonable prices. Save room for the delicious rotating desserts (rhubarb crumble, my favorite). The restaurant is a museum of PA Dutch culture as the former home of Johnny Ott, the great popularizer of PA Dutch barn star design. It doesn’t get more authentic than this.

If you are looking for a family style restaurant with good homestyle dutch cooking, look no further. The food is authentic and delicious! The service is extremely efficient, friendly and fast! The atmosphere is PA dutch setting... inside rooms with wooden floors and PA dutch decor! You have to come here and experience this for yourself!

Customer is not a priority here.Although the food was very tasty and our waitress was a kind and polite lady, I got very disappointed. Our first time coming over to this place, visiting from another country, after a long ride, really wanted to have great experience. I am an artist, so seeing historical artwork makes me feel so excited. I asked a few staff members if we can switch our table for the table in the decorated beautiful dining room, but they refused to accommodate us saying that they would have to move a lot of stuff from our table in order to do it. By that time we only had 3 beverages. So we stayed in the other dining room by the huge heater, while the "privileged" room was clean and empty for the most part. I did not ask for much, but even that did not matter.

If you are looking for an authentic Pennsylvania Dutch meal, then this is the place. Familiar favorites include potato stuffing, bacon dressing and shoo fly pie. Decor resembles an Amish dining room. Service is prompt and courteous. Reservations are not required unless you go on a holiday, then yes make a reservation. Parking is limited and crowded. One of my seasonal favorites is their homemade mint ice tea.

I looked at the reviews and was pretty excited as I planned to meet up with family from out of state as they passed through PA where I live. I wish I'd looked a bit further into this, though, as the menu was NOT PA Dutch. They have Italian, American, Caribbean, and a plethora of fried food offerings off the Sysco or US Foods menus. While the food was tasty, it wasn't what I'd hoped for based on the name and location.Service was ok, atmosphere was that of an old farmhouse. Everything was clean and well-maintained.
