Walk-in Psych. center - awesome staff, great ambience, non-threatening. Although they advertise that only Pike, Monroe and Carbon county residents can use the service they will help anyone in any county age 14 and over - Highly suggest!

Funny. When this hospital opened I was thrilled because we had the hospital shut down in Palmerton. We had gone a few times, taken right back, little traffic, kind bed side manners. Today my husband was sent by his Dr for shoulder/neck pain... they took him back and told him to sit back out in the waiting room until the next nurse came on. 2 hours later, still nothing. There were others that came in and taken back. I understand others may be sick and cannot sit out in the waiting room, or possibly other emergencies would trump an injury- but BE HONEST. It is during the day, time away from work to sit with no response. What happened to customer service, customer satisfaction, or having empathy. NO ONE truly wants to just go to the hospital and sit there all day, especially ones that put off going and finally reach the courage to do so. Keep up with the hospitality and you'll keep getting these reviews. Anderson Campus is bigger and has a better reputation. Not that hard to give answers, goes a long way.

I took a friend to the ER after her family doctor said to take her asap. I took her there at 12:30 and we were the only ones in the waiting room. We didn't wait too long before we were taken back. She was assessed and an iv was put in. They also put a gown on her and asked if she was cold. She said yes and the nurse said twice that he would bring a blanket. As of the time of discharge at 5:00, there was no blanket. Also she was given fluids and a couple times they commented why it was running so slow. Around 4:00 they checked her arm and saw the fluids were not going in her vein but under the skin. The top of her arm was huge! Also the doctor never said there was fluid on her lungs which I would think would be a reason to be admitted. The nurse told us the x-rays were good. 2 days later she is back in the ER and I sure hope the doctor admits her.

Ended up in the ER here due to an auto accident. I was an hour from home and was never here before. They were awesome in the ER. I was taken immediately to a room and a doctor came right in. Very kind , friendly and efficient. Had several tests and all staff including the registration person were super friendly. The doctor was in and out several times explained everything in detail. I was definitely in good hands. I would definitely recommend this facility for the great care they provided and the friendly helpful staff.

My mom was taken to ER while I was on vacation. 77 rings with 7 calls and no answer. She is unable to speak. This is not okLast time she was in the ER the girl complained about getting a bed pan for her. This is not the care that I associated with St Luke's in the past, but it seems like your care is not getting any better, its declining.

The nurses there are great, without a doubt. They are known to be the hardest working people in all hospitals, and they usually do it without much thanks. The problem is that St. Luke's is ridiculously overpriced, even with insurance. In what universe would it cost $4,000 for an X-ray and one shot in the arm, a muscle relaxant by the way. My child had some chest pains, turned out to be strong muscle spasms, and I felt that he needed to be looked at by a doctor sooner than later because it is not wise to gamble on a life. So, I take my child there and we were honored by being able to sit on a bed in the hallway next to the nurse's station and allowed to wait for almost 3 hours before we could finally leave. Mind you, this wait had nothing to do with anybody waiting for test results. The majority of it was waiting to see the doctor and then waiting for a shot. Very little time was waiting for the X-ray since nowadays they come back very quickly. The total charges came out to $4,090.08. How can anybody justify that much money for so little work? This is the kind of thing that makes people have to literally weigh their options of life and death as they decide whether or not they can afford to pay a bill. And no, I don't want a response. I want some of my money refunded since it was hardly worth it.

The new hospital is beautiful. But it’s terrible when there are so many horror stories about a hospital that people who NEED treatment refuse to go there. I read a review that mirrors our experience. A family member was taken by ambulance to the ER after having been found unresponsive. 3 days … not in the ER but in the hallway of the ER! And this seems to be a common occurrence. No one we’ve talked to has had a good experience there. But something we all seem to agree on is how wonderful the nurses are. What good is having a beautiful new hospital when it’s a horror when you trust them to treat you?Yes, covid has caused problems but it’s caused problems all over the place. And people trust that.when they’re in need of treatment they’ll get it!I thought that when the new hospital opened many of the problems we had at the old hospital would be resolved. It hasn’t happened. Another.complaint I’ve heard is that the handicapped parking is so far away from the entrance. But, hey… the building looks good,,,, there’s that at least

My 90 year old mother in law was taken here by ambulance 5 days ago. She is still in a hallway with no room and no way to communicate with us. We live out of town and are trying to get there. Every time we call we are transferred numerous times and place on hold and still no answers. I know hospitals are overwhelmed at this time but 5 days!!!! Very frustrating!!!

Staff has been incredibly rude to my husband since his arrival yesterday. Highly disappointed with this particular st Luke’s facility considering the one in the Bethlehem was so nice.
