“We have dealt with this vet for over a year now and it time to provide an accurate review here on Yelp. This review is based upon experience with multiple vets regarding our goat herd. First, for the sake of the consumer, let's clarify the role of this business. They are a farm veterinary practice dealing with farm animals. We have had these vets out to our farm for both routine and emergency visits. Based upon these visits let me address the three most important things about vets, efficacy of treatment, barnside manner and cost. Efficacy of treatment is superior. The vets have always been able to diagnose the problem and provide an effective therapeutic treatment. We have a goat with significant health challenges and they have taken the time to work on figuring out his issues without charging us for unnecessary or questionably effective treatments. As far as barnside manner, I am very impressed with these vets. During a castration, the doc took plenty of time titrating anesthesia. He didn't want to overdrive the anesthesia but he was very cognizant of making sure the goat was properly sedated and comfortable. He didn't rush into it. He took his time and made sure the animal was safely and humanely prepped for surgery. On a number of occasions, I have watched the vet adjust themselves into uncomfortable or difficult positions to examine or treat the animal so as to keep the animal comfortable. They don't force the animal into a painful position in order to make their life easier or simpler. They have all proven to be compassionate and caring providers. Lastly, let's discuss cost. I have had three emergency visits with treatment, and all of them have cost me under $300. Their price point on services rendered is well within industry norms. Their prices are very reasonable. We are very happy with this veterinary practice and they get a five star review from me.”

“I am a volunteer foster parent for cats and kittens. The adoption center that I work with organizes a spay/ neuter clinic at Strasburg Vet Health when there is a need. I brought my 2 little wards there to be spayed before they could be placed for adoption. The facility is neat and clean and the volunteer staff was organized and calm. My kitties came home full of energy and no trauma or stress.”

“The staff at NVC is beyond amazing. My dog was diagnosed with Melanoma 6 months ago and Dr. Blithe was very open and honest with her diagnosis, my options, and treatment. She supported my decisions the whole way through and was very compassionate and caring every step of the way. The staff was very helpful and compassionate as well. I had many email exchanges with Misty and she went above and beyond to help and comfort me when the time came to end Champ's suffering. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.”

“Everyone at Willow Run has been friendly, kind and helpful. I know my dog is safe with any of the vets. But, Dr. Phoebe Miller has been my absolute favorite. She has a calming presence on people and animals alike. My anxious pup did great with her. Dr. Miller genuinely cares deeply for your pets and it shows. She even personally called on a few occasions to answer my questions. I will be going to her forever!!”

“Dr Young and his team at Animal Hospital of Willow Street have cared for my animals for over a decade, and I am so grateful for the time, attention, and kindness they have showed me and my fur-family. They have provided medical support to my four dogs and two cats, as well as grooming services at every stage of life- and have done so with professionalism, humor, and compassion. Even my more reactive dog feels comfortable with Dr Young and Dr Winning, and adores her groomer. I highly recommend this vet, and really can't say enough good things about them!”

“All staff members are friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. Pricing is so much better than other local vets! They are super efficient and still take time to hear concerns and questions without rushing to get to the next client.”

“I have been a client of Manheim Pike Veterinary Hospital (well, all my fur babies) since 1980. I miss Dr Rovner but everyone there is professional and sweet and caring. They have taken care of a total of 4 cats and 10 dogs over the years. Dr Steed was so caring when my 93 year old mother's dog was struggling near the end.”

“My family has been using the Bridgeport office for a least 50 yrs (I believe since it's start way before it became VCA). I have never had a bad visit. The care and concern for my pets - amazing!”

“We love Dr. Harris and the entire staff at NHVH so much that we drive 30 minutes each way just to go there. Our dogs are our children and the folks at NHVH treat them (and us) as such - with the utmost care and respect and love. I can’t recommend them enough!”

“We have been treating our pets for a few years at Lincoln Highway and have had such wonderful experiences. Even after all these years they still go above and beyond to make your pets feel comfortable . This also makes you the owner feel comfortable as an owner with a more reactive dog.We have a social Bernedoodle and a not so social German Shepherd who is often not receptive to new people and will growl and bark. I typically would muzzle her at the vet just to be safe even though she has never harmed anyone in the past.Today I told the staff if they felt more comfortable we could use a muzzle. They declined and instead took the time to make my pup feel more comfortable. Christal came in first and was on the floor slowly getting our Shepard to warm up to her and did not give up when she shied away.Eventually she even got a little lick on her hand. This prepared my pup for both Dr.Lewis and Christal to come in and give her the shots she needed. They were both able to hold her and give her love and support she needed to make it more comfortable for her during her shots! This would not have happened without them going above and beyond. We appreciate the wonderful team at this facility and are so lucky our pets can be cared for here.”

“I have 2 unsocialized feral cats. Somehow Dr. Daub is able to come in to my house and gently humanely catch them, evaluate them and know what to do. She is so so competent. So wise. I am so lucky to have her as my vet!”

“The best vet I have ever had for my fur children. No one else in the past 6 years has believed me or spent so much time and care on my cat. They are all so helpful and caring. I cannot recommend the Meteo Pet Vet more.”

“This review is based solely on grooming. We have two small dogs, so Hailey does our grooming. She always does an amazing job on our Dorkie and mini Labradoodle. She's booked out for weeks, for good reason. Highly, highly recommended.”

“I would never consider taking any of my pets anywhere else. Even feral cats if need be. My 12 year old dog Handsome developed an ulcer on his left eye. The vet tried everything they could to save the eye but it kept getting worse. We finally had to remove the eye. While he was recovering from the eye surgery he somehow swallowed a handful of change. We ended up having to have a penny surgically removed from his stomach lining. Then his right eye became infected. I was devastated, I was going to help my loving companion across the rainbow bridge because I didn't think he could have a good life as a blind dog at his advanced age. The vet, sorry I'm not good with names, talked me out of that so we went ahead and had Handsome's second eye removed. A couple of months later Handsome developed a really bad cough. So bad that we took him to the Emergency Pet Hospital in Lancaster. They told us that Handsome has pneumonia and that he had cancer. The wanted to put him to sleep. They put 7 other pets down during the time we were there. I think that's all they do there. I will NEVER take any animal there again ! I told them no and brought Handsome home. The Vets at Animal Hospital at Willow Street saw Handsome as an emergency basis on Monday morning. Handsome did not have pneumonia and Handsome does not have cancer. The other vet wanted to murder my dog for no reason !!! Handsome is now being treated for Congestive Heart Failure, which was the real problem, with medication and is doing just fine. Handsome will be turning 15 years old in a couple of weeks. Through all of this Handsome LOVES all of the staff here. Especially Emily. Handsome gets excited when we tell him he is going to see "his doctors". We take him out of our van when we get there and he walks across the parking lot and right in the door wagging his tail the entire time. Yes, he does very well being blind. It's freaky, sometimes we swear he can still see........ We also have cats we bring here. I had a Feral Cat come in the house. I called to make an appointment but could not catch the cat. I called and apologized the day of the appointment and rescheduled. I had to cancel the second appointment also because I could not catch the super intelligent wild cat. That cat is finally a pet now and I can get her into the pet carrier. The staff was completely understanding about the cancellations and I'll be bringing "Slinky" in real soon to be checked over. I could go on and on and on about how great Animal Hospital of Willow Street is. I recommend them to everyone who asks. Will & Cindy W. & Handsome, Zippy, Zappy and Slinky”

“I was very impressed during our consultation with Dr. O'Neil and his vet techs. Dr. O'Neill took a lot of time examining our dog and answering all of our questions. Both Dr. O'Neil and the two vet techs called us multiple times during the dental procedure to update us on the progress and get our input as to how we wanted to proceed. Dr. O'Neill came very highly recommended by our personal vet, and I was not disappointed. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a thorough, professional vet practice. Thank you for the excellent care that you provided to Finn and for making us feel very comfortable while he was under your care.”

“Very happy to find a vet near home that actually listens to you.The staff are always kind and courteous. They are attentive to all of your needs and are thorough in the explanations they provide.Prices are also reasonable. I have been to a few vets that charge insane amounts and were not nearly as communicative and kind as Cocalico Cat.The facility is always clean and inviting. They have a few very nice resident cats as well which I love.I would highly recommend Cocalico Cat to anyone in search of a vet!”

“My neighbor recommended VCA Smoketown a few yrs ago and we first saw Dr. Shellenberger who was great with my dog, Liam. We moved out of Lancaster and I never switched vets because I love the people there. When Liam had all kinds of GI issues recently, after 3 ER visits, Dr. O’Neill saw us for what was supposed to be a wellness visit. All I can say is that she was meant to be a veterinarian. I don’t know how she maintains such calm, patience and empathy. She spent 45 minutes on the floor with Liam and the second visit came out to answer my questions after his subcutaneous fluids were given. She saw him sitting at the door and said he probably needs to go out so I can walk outside with you guys. She also said she would like to know how he is doing the next day and eventhough she was not working to please contact her. Thank you is not enough to express how grateful I am for the care we’ve received at VCA. Liam is acting like his old guy (almost 12) self again:)”

“Confused....I have been coming here for years. I know one of my dogs was over due for a visit because I got a reminder. Because Of the pandemic I called and made an appointment for September which we just were in. The problem is my other dog is apparently overdue and I never received notification and they all need flea/tick meds. They would only give me meds for two of the dogs since one was overdue. I would think you would want, for the dog best interest, him to receive his meds. He has an appointment to come in and it would be healthier to have it. And yes, I am perfectly aware if he gets fleas the meds will kill them. That's what the receptionist kept telling me. I'm not an idiot. Point is to prevent fleas in my house. Not sure what a visit has to do with flea meds. So to keep all my dogs on the same schedule they all have to wait. Also when I made Baxter's appointment they did not tell me the other one was due. It's very annoying to a pet owner. It wasn't explained if the reason was medical???Thank you Angela for responding and helping me! We will see you in October”

“Never in my life time of owning pets have I found a better vet then Dr. Bill. My partner and I adopted a special needs cat who had brain damage. Dr. Bill not only worked with us and gave solid advice on how to make him comfortable, he was also very honest with us about his quality of life. I also want to say that he has given wonderful care to our other two cats as well. We just ended up putting out kitty down on Monday. Dr. Bill was extremely comforting as even though we knew it was time, we still struggled with the decision. The front desk staff was also so warm and compassionate. It truly felt like they were also grieving with us. We then received upon the other day a hand written, heartfelt, personalized letter from Dr. Bill along with some inked paw and nose prints. If I could give Lititz a 100/10 review I would, but I’m limited to only a 5 star on here. They are just all around, amazing people who shine in making animals their passion.”

“I have been going to conastoga for almost 20 yearsEver since Dr Zimmerman and Dr Wenger retired it is nearly impossible to get an appt. Dr Capp is awesome it's a shame he went part time. They no longer take care of us mainly the loyal customers who have been with them forever. It is a shame you have to keep calling at 8 for a sick pet.I only gave them a five because of Dr Capp and the way it used Tobe. Don't reinvent the wheelwben it was working. Poor set up now so disappointing”

“I didn't have a great experience with VCA West Shore Animal Hospital (and neither did my friends and neighbors), so I was reluctant to go to another VCA. However, I had no choice as it was a last minute appointment. My cat was experiencing some vomiting and I was at a loss. Now, I see another reviewer attempted to slander Dr. Leann Murphy, which is absolutely ridiculous. And essentially their complaint was about the bill. Newsflash, friend, pets can be expensive. Perhaps consider fish if you don't want to spend for the care of a mammal. My experience with Dr. Murphy was excellent. She did everything she could to exam my anxiously distressed cat before making a careful suggestion to place him under anesthesia so she could closely exam him. The medication she prescribed cleared his vomiting and she said it was due to stress (added another cat to the household). I'm a overly cautious and anxious pet owner, so I had numerous after appointment questions. Guess what? Dr. Murphy always returns my calls. Where most veterinarians would tell you "bring them back in" so they can hit you with another bill, she did not. Friendly staff. Thorough care. The bill was higher than I had anticipated, but that's the fault of the lab (full mark-up blood tests can be expensive), not VCA Smoketown. Yes, I would return to VCA Smoketown Animal Hospital, and yes I would recommend Dr. Leann Murphy.”
