I like the people who work the counter. They are very nice to me. But last year we didn’t receive mail for about two weeks because they didn’t have anyone to drive the route. At the time I thought that was inexcusable. For the last 2 weeks we haven’t been getting mail delivery. I called and was told it was TOO DANGEROUS TO DELIVER WITH CURRENT CONSTRUCTION ON 145. That is funny because they have delivered one package to me during this time, and yesterday I saw them deliver to a house across the street. I presume it was a package, but still no mail. Construction is supposed to go on for a while. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!! If it is so dangerous to drive on 145 why is it safe enough to deliver packages??? And if you are going to deliver a package to a house why don’t you bring the mail with the package? I am at a loss for any rational explanation.

Sadly, I must say our post office is getting worse, not better. Please note: this review isn’t about the STAFF at the post office...they have all been quite friendly and accommodating since about 5 years ago. My problems with this post office are lack of consistency in mail delivery and office hours. First off, I was informed, by a staff member, the post office does not meet current USPS requirements to qualify for a FULL TIME delivery agent. What does this mean??? Well, as it was explained to me...full time letter carriers get assigned a full time route. They have a certain amount of time to complete their assigned route, but if they finish early they can go home for the day, still getting paid for the full day. Part-time routes like Laurys Station’s are picked up by full time carriers who have already finished their own route, and I don’t understand how this is true BUT they apparently don’t get paid to deliver the extra route. So getting people to cover our route is not necessarily an ‘easy’ task. Some days my mail has been delivered by 11, others by 9:30PM! 8 years ago when I moved here, we HAD a full time carrier who was AWESOME...I could set my watch by the time she delivered my mail...10:30am EVERY day! Now it’s just a complete joke. For over a week in January, we didn’t have a carrier at-all, and I had to go to the post office to pick up my mail every day.Today, I went to drop off a priority package at 10:15am. Surprise...the post office has changed its hours...11-5 m-f, with something on Saturday I didn’t take notice to. Ok, now 8 years ago, the counter agent took a 2 hour lunch from 12pm-2pm...right in the middle of lunch rush. Then they changed the hours to 10-5 with one hour lunches. Now they cut lunch out but don’t open until 11???? This is just getting out of control. I am for trying to accommodate the desires of employees, but if that is why the sudden, and undocumented online (Google still has them open at 10am), change in operating hours, at what cost to the postal customer is this being done? I had to drive 15 miles to go to a different post office! With the price of gas, this is now costing way too much to use the USPS; I might as well just use FedEx...it will be cheaper in the end.

This is a review going into the post office and mailing packages. This is a fine experience. Usually there is no line. The guy that's usually there is quite helpful and friendly. There is quite another experience about actually getting our mail delivered, but I don't think that's what you want to hear about.

This isn’t my home post office but I go here all the time to mail things and I love it! So nice and helpful. I honestly don’t like my home post office only the driver

This is the best Post Office in our area. The Postal worker at the window is super nice and very helpful. Plus, even if a few customers are in line he is efficient and hardly a wait at all.

One star is being gracious. Oh where to begin maybe I should start with the fact that when cards or anything that resembles a card comes its always open, or how we don't get mail for days I will call and someone told me " the delivery person is out sick we will get it to you when we can catch up" or how about the fact that people send stuff and IT NEVER GETS DELIVERED!!!! I cant even begin to describe what a nightmare this post office is

I"m not impressed. I received no directions on mailing an international package. My package arrived to the destination four months later. I opened a PO Box and for some reason, letters to my PO Box were returned to the sender. I called the post office and there was a sub working. He didn't know why there was a sticker indicating my box was closed when the payments were up to date. I avoid this post office. I will drive to Whitehall instead.
