This place is a vibe for sure. I had a great time stopping in, they treated me like I was one of their own and everyone was really kind. The owner and instructor were cool, definitely a great place to train. :)

Gotta come here if you live in the Greensburg/Latrobe area! Went today for a trial/drop in class since I am home for thanksgiving. Everyone was incredibly kind and instruction was great. Had a few great rolls as well. Also the facilities were incredibly clean. Great place!

I was traveling from out of town and needed a place to train. Everyone at Ground Zero was very welcoming and willing to help out in every way. Great gym and great people. I will definitely come back next time I’m in town.

My name is Jonathan Coffman, I am a former member/coach at Ground Zero Pittsburgh. I'm the beginning of my training there the gym and other staff were great! There were some minor things that seemed off but were easy to be overlooked or explain. One of the big things that stood out was how the owner, Jeremy Kosicek (Fridge) put down the surrounding gyms and that our gym was so much better. This led to him frowning upon the students cross training with other local gyms, which led him to ask me to talk several students out of training at other gyms. After that became the sand bagging, this is a great gym if you want a lot of 1st place medals and trophies. Jeremy would consciously post pome promotions and hold students back if they had a competition coming up so that they were able to get easy wins. Ultimately I ended up leaving the gym due to a falling out which was caused by a "secret" coaches text that got spread amongst students and Jeremy deciding that I wasn't worthy of a promotion because I couldn't be trusted anymore. My fiancé is a former member of the gym as well (she left after I did for separate reasons and we didn't start dating until long after). She had some bad blood with the owner which came to a head this past weekend (4/15/23) at a local competition where, my fiancé and Jeremy got into a yelling match about the things that transpired. I've personally done my best to stay out of it as it just involved those two and my fiancé 's daughter, until Jeremy decided to pull me into it and came over after the yelling and proceeded to get into my face telling me I need to control my woman. When I said I don't control women and he needs to take a step back, he became hostile and began to say "or what?!" After I repeated that he needs to step back he stated "I can't control my woman because I am too weak" to which I responded with a rude remark. I didn't want to get involved but after the events of this past weekend, the owners actions was unbecoming of a business owner, a martial artist, and a "brown belt". This gym is great if you want a shelf full of first place medals and don't mind putting up with a lot of politics. But you will not learn how to be a martial artist, no discipline, no respect, and if you are not athletically gifted or show a lot of promise, the owner won't waste his time working with you.

This is the best place to learn different styles of martial arts regardless of your experience level. I really enjoy the boxing, kick boxing, wrestling, and jujitsu classes. In addition, coach Jeremy makes sure to keep everyone engaged with different exercises and helpful advice each session. Check it out you will love it!
