Great staff and a great nonprofit to adopt animals!

This place takes adopting to the next level. We've previously adopted through another organization and they way overcharged us and didn't properly vaccinate or neuter or dog. This place however makes sure everything is done and that their animals are going home to a safe good home.

I've adopted three pets here. I really love this place. Seems the pets are well taken care of. I recently lost my pet, so I'll probably be visiting them soon. This location has been around for quite awhile now. It's a huge improvement from the old place.Highly recommend!

Action For Animals Humane Society was founded in 1983 to shelter and provide care for abused, abandoned and stray dogs and cats of Westmoreland County. We adopt animals into responsible homes and vigorously promote the spaying and neutering of all pets to eliminate the cruelty of animal overpopulation. We are a non-profit, non-government funded, no-kill shelter that keeps animals free from the threat of unwarranted euthanasia.
