“Two weeks ago my Kings Charles Cavalier's health declined seriously in the middle of the night. He had been suffering from from neuropathy in his back legs and he now had a temperature and was yelping in pain. From the moment we walked in to VEG on Walnut Street, Philadelphia, Dr. Megan and her team of nurses treated us with such love and were so comforting. She listened and gave me the options for moving forward. Finnegan was at the end and we decided to put him to sleep. It was a heart wrenching decision and my sweetie died in my arms. They also arranged a cremation package - ashes, footprint and hair lock - that arrived a few days later. To have such wonderful people with you when you make end of life decisions for your pet is so heart warming. Thank you all so much for your kindness and understanding. With gratitude. Renee Jones”
“First took our 6 year old cat here a few months ago for an illness visit after deciding to switch vets from a vet we were previously seeing in New Jersey. From the moment we walked in we knew immediately he was in good hands and have then decided to take the rest of our cats here as well.
The staff here are friendly, patient with both humans and animals & very knowledgeable. In both times we have been to the Fishtown office; I have had no doubt about the care our cats have received, have left the office feeling like any concerns or questions I have had were heard and answered and that our cats were well taken care of.

“Best vet! Always takes great care of my pets and reassures me when I’m overly worried about something. They are attentive and take their time, always accommodating and flexible and provides genuine good care. They are priced fairly and always try their best to work within my budget. I really love this vet team :) It’s also fairly easy to make an appointment and schedule around a work schedule. “Everyone here is super personable and informative. Dr. Knighton and the Tech that checked out Fred, my 10 week old street urchin, were super gentle with him. They gave me a clear overview of what to expect for upcoming visits. They also used treats to help Fred be calm while he received care.
I also really appreciated that the front desk staff is able to give you a ballpark quote for the cost of the visit. There's nothing like being blindsided with fees.
I called around to a few places before picking City Cat Vets. Their pricing seems very fair in comparison.
I totally recommend them if you've got a kitty. The office is dog free. The space is super calm and quiet. The staff are A+ from the first phone call with the front desk to the visit itself.”

“Newtown Square Veterinary Hospital treats me and my two Yorkies Marcel & Miso like family. My boys love coming here and getting attention from all of the staff. They are knowledgeable, informative, and true animal lovers. The wait is never bad. We always get seen on time. The rooms are always clean and pretty spacious. My questions and concerns are always answered carefully and throughly. My pets never return fearful because they are so gentle with them. They quickly get records over to me when I need to send them to other places. They are slightly more expensive than others in the area but the quality of care is unmatched! I’m lucky they are so close to me because finding a good vet can be a nightmare. Having them on my side makes me a much better pet owner.”

“Providence Animal Hospital, and especially Michelle from Providence, are the BEST! I’m out of the country and my dog was taken to VEG in Philadelphia… I called Michelle and providence to get their opinion on my dog’s condition, and she was the nicest person and did everything she could to help figure out the best plan of care for my dog. It meant so much to me that Michelle genuinely cared that much about my dog and did everything she could to help, unlike some of the people at VEG. Not even kidding, Michelle’s bosses should triple her salary and give her a 3 month paid vacation… SHE IS THE BEST!!!”
“We were extremely nervous, as our cat was ill for several days and vomiting. Other vets would not give me a fairly reasonable or quick appt. The staff scheduled us as a new patient immediately with kindness and empathy. During the visit, the doctor and staff were extremely attentive, concerned, caring and knowledgeable. They were gentle and patient, as our cat Dixon was extremely fearful. We left feeling that they truly care and that Dixon received thorough and excellent care. We are confident that they gave him the best treatment and highly recommend World of Animals to anyone who truly wants the best love and care. I took her to another vet who had zero compassion and my friend recommended The Cat Hospital of Media. Dr. Yolanda Revilla is so wonderful, informative and compassionate. I had to make one of the most difficult decisions of my life and Dr. Revilla and the staff were all so terrific. I really want to thank them for truly caring and loving my precious girl. We were charged half as much as other vets for standard checkups and a tenth for spaying. With no sacrifice of quality. Reservations tend be available a month or so later when you call, so plan ahead and book early.”

“My cat is not a patient at Just For Cats, but they were so incredibly helpful to me and my cat when I was desperately searching for a bag of her special diet food. My cat’s food at her regular vet was out of stock, my delivery order of her food was delayed, and my cat was running out of food. I called and emailed dozens of vets in the Philly/Greater Philly area, and Just For Cats was the only one willing and able to help me and my cat, even though she is not a patient with them. Without their help, my cat would’ve run out of her special diet food and I would’ve been at a loss for what to do. I am so grateful for their help, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and compassionate practice for their cat.”

“Dr. Kwon just blew my mind with his vet skills. I have never seen my dog act so calm at a vet before. As soon as Dr Kwon came into the room, he sat on the floor to greet my dog. He spent a lot of time explaining everything to me and then did NOT try to nickle and dime me at the end like my last vet did.

“My regular veneration closed permanently and I needed a med refill for my older cat. The doctor at Bywood squeezed us in for a quick evaluation so he could go over his records and assume authorization on refills. That's compassion. Everyone at the desk is super nice and my only surprise was when I saw the bill and how reasonable the total was. I did some growling under my breath over the years at other vet bills. Bywood is a great find!”

“My wife and I came in with our pet holland lop and Dr Goodman provided exceptional care with the check up and we learned a lot about our rabbit from head to tail in a very thorough fashion. We had no idea that rabbit’s molars develop spurs from chewing and Dr Goodman was able to identify this problem and resolve the issue and make our rabbit happy again- we will definitely be back.”

“The staff at wissahickon have been amazing dealing with me and my helicopter pet mom ways! My cat, Romeo would probably not bring alive if it wasn't for Dr. Yard's suggestion to go the Metropolitan Veterinary for his IBD. Romeo is currently dealing with a respiratory infection and arthritis and the doctors and staff have been so patient with me emailing them almost every day.
