I brought my car to Pennsylvania Tire & Auto of Drexel Hill on 6/19/24 for a safety and emissions inspection, as required by PA state law. As a delivery driver for Uber Eats, I meticulously track my gas and mileage. Starting 5/11/24, I noticed my car's mileage was lower than average.
On 6/19/24, I drove 20 minutes to the shop with 3/4 of a tank of gas. Shortly after dropping off the car, the business called to inform me of a gas line leak, explaining the poor mileage. They sent a video showing gas pouring out at a high rate. This severity of the leak didn’t make sense; my car would have been inoperable for the past month and unable to make it to the shop if the leak had been that bad.
The car had been parked and immobile for two weeks prior, yet the tank remained full. I believe the "mechanics" exacerbated the leak to make money off me, and I was charged $685.95 for the repair. I had no choice but to pay, as the car was undrivable due to the damage they caused.
Adding to my frustration, the woman who charged my card refused to apply the advertised discount for the safety/emissions inspection, forcing me to pay full price.
Absolutely despicable. Do not bring your car here unless you want unnecessary problems and inflated bills.

I came here with a flat and my tire off the rim on my lunch break and the guys here mounted my tire back on and had me on my way in 30 minutes. Thank you all so much for your help. I really appreciate it.

Do not purchase the Groupon it’s a trap. He said if I use my Groupon they have no availability until February (Groupon expires January) for an oil change and if I don’t use it they are available right away..

I purchased a Groupon for the Marshall Road location. I called and made an appointment for an oil change as it stated appointments are recommended. When I arrived at 8am to drop my car off, I was told by the receptionist, then the manager, Robert that they don't accept groupons at that location. However, their location is listed on groupon as a participating location. I specifically choose that location because it is close to where I live. I understand miscommunication in business, what I don't understand is HORRIBLE customer service. Robert was extremely unprofessional and even joked around when the receptionist, called him over for assistance as he was walking over to the window he jokingly stated, he didn't want to assist because he didn't like light skin people. I am upset because I wasted my time stopping there on my way to work. Robert or Marion offered so much as an apology for the inconvenience. If you can, please go elsewhere. There are auto businesses on almost every corner, I am certain there are places that will treat customers with more respect.
