Giant is a large grocery store chain known for its wide selection of products and community focus. With over 35,000 team members, it serves millions of neighbors across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. The stores offer a variety of items including fresh produce, meats, seafood, bakery goods, and more, often with many deals and reward programs that can be used for discounts, such as on gas. Customers appreciate the extensive assortment and the convenience of online grocery services, pharmacies, and fuel stations. Some find the store’s prices to be high, sometimes comparable or slightly better than competitors like Wegmans, Walmart, or Aldi, but still costly. There are occasional issues reported, such as no shopping carts available at times, and problems with self-checkout screens that can block and require employee help, which can be frustrating. The quality of food varies; for example, some customers dislike overcooked chicken available at certain locations. Overall, many customers love the store for its size, variety, and rewards, though some find it less favorable due to pricing and minor shopping inconveniences.
The people are friendly as you get to know them. Donna in the deli is a great lady and funny. Stop by and say hi. Tell her craig sent you and she will love it.
