Bob is a great guy & knows how to rig your gear for the right presentation. I love shopping in his store. It's more like a garage sale than a retail store & I don't mean that in a negative way. Tying materials etc. are in large tupperware bins & neatly stacked & labeled. If you have time to dig around there is a lot of great finds at half the retail price. He also has more vintage items & classic bamboo rods than a museum. If you have something to trade or sell he will give you a very fair offer.

Lots of vintage and used fly rods and reels for excellent prices. If you tie your own flies, the Classic Fly Fisherman has just about any material you might need, all organized in dozens of clearly labeled storage bins. Just make sure you call before you head over as Bob is often on the road chasing down vintage gear, rare supplies, or simply spending some time on the water.

Talk about an experience! The owner hooked me up with some solid flies, taught me a couple knots, and even showed me a bunch of fishing spots. He even recommended I bring in my gear for him to look over. Customer service! Fly fishing is a tough hobby and one with little information. Bob really opens the door for newcomers.

This is a great place to go before your next fishing trip!! Lots of rods and reels to choose from. Fly tying materials of all kinds, books, you name it, Bob has incredible knowledge he loves to share with all his customers. A very unique shop I'm sure you'll love!
