We just moved in at the start of this month. Maintenance has been super helpful (shoutout to Justin!) & everyone has answered our questions in a timely matter. There have been a few maintenance issues upon moving in, however they were fixed within the first week or so of us being here.

We really love living here! When we first moved in, our unit was newly renovated but there were a good handful of maintenance issues that still need to be addressed. We were frustrated at first, but they encouraged us to send in a detailed list of all our concerns along with the move-in inspection, and within a week people came and fixed nearly everything on the list in one day. Our apartment is spacious, the Brookside community is full of really friendly people with gorgeous dogs, and the ladies in the leasing office are incredibly friendly and helpful. We’re still settling in, but my husband and I are already super happy to be here. Also the way the apartments are set up, we get GOOD sunlight.

I stayed with my wife and two kids at Brookside Manor for 2 years starting April 2022, ending April 2024. I was in a 3 BDRM 2.5 Bath townhouse.
Our experience here definitely had its ups and downs.
The good:
leasing office personnel are very friendly and informative.
Some of the safety concerns that get voiced are taken care of fairly quickly. I commented in the service portal once about sidewalk lights being out on the far end of my townhouse strip, and my mother ended up tripping on the concrete sidewalk on a step up due to light conditions being terrible at that end. service promptly came out and fixed the lights in front of multiple units.
The bad:
Service can also take an eternity to come and fix your broken appliances… or anything really.
Our washing machine broke, and it took service over two(2) months to replace it. Having a highly active family, this was incredibly inconvenient, as we do laundry pretty much daily.
We put in a service request for our air conditioner during the spring of ‘23, as the temperature had recently spiked, and our house was getting up to 80+ degrees. One of the technicians walked in the door, noticed I had installed a nest thermostat, and walked right back out saying “you installed your own thermostat. I’m not working on that.” Mind you, we had a baby in the house that was under a year old at the time. They insisted that I must have installed the thermostat incorrectly, even though my AC and heat worked perfectly fine the prior year. They eventually sent someone else out who noticed that the line leading into the indoor unit was frozen. Turns out, my smart thermostat wasn’t the problem. The system needed to be recharged.
We also had issues with our dryer that took a bit of time to fix.
At the end, our washing machine wasn’t repaired properly and kept leaking.
The upstairs toilet had a service request placed against it that never got fixed.
Needless to say, maintenance was terrible. We got told they were short handed. Simple fix; offer a higher wage and hire more help. Keep increasing your offered wage until you find the market rate for what maintenance employees are willing to work for.
On another note, there were multiple times police were called on residence causing issues in the community. After about a year of letting our son spend time with other kids in the community, we found an inappropriate conversation between the kids of the community discussing how specific kids wanted to engage in sexual acts with other kids. We decided it was in our child’s best interest to keep him inside from then on, and not engage with the other kids his age.
The garbage would constantly fill up a few days prior to the trash pickup, and overflow next to the dumpster.
On the side of rental rates, I was curious of what they would offer future tenants, so I kept my eyes on Zillow for the price they were going to offer the incoming residents. The average rental market rate dropped substantially from our move in date to our leave date over a two year span. Despite this, our renewal would have increased in the last year. When the rental went back on the market, they dropped the rate over 10% to the future residents.
Part of me can’t blame the way they would have handled my rental rate. The company I work for would do the same. I can’t recommend living here for the cost though. There are enough downsides that really outweigh the good of living here. This isn’t a good place to raise a family.

The maintenance team here is amazing. Nick followed up on my concerns quickly and made sure I was satisfied with the fixes he did with electrical, my dryer, smells, and vents. He’s great!

Very worst maintenance service. It’s been more than two weeks, our dishwasher is not working. No action was taken till now. Without taking action they closed the ticket. We are begging them to fix it. But they are telling there’s shortage in maintenance team.
Regarding your reply: Ticket was created on April 15 th and the maintenance person came on April 24th it’s just a minute. He set in high temperature and pressed the start button, he said will check after two hours. But the ticket was closed without checking.Have you got my point? The thing which I said not working , to see that he runs it and why didn’t come back and why the ticket was closed. You are supposed to wait . I have to create a new ticket again and I have to wait two more weeks.

So far, it's been great. The complex is well maintained, the apartments are very well kept and the neighbors are very nice. Icing on the cake to have the amenities of a fitness center, pool, two playgrounds and dog parks!
