Dave charged me over $600 for a repair he never accomplished but hid the fact from me. I found his deed by later doing work myself on the vehicle and found the telltale sign that the work was never performed.

MacConnell's ran a diagnostic test and fixed my car for me when I had three different warning lights come on in my 2007 rav4. I initially took my car to a different shop that was closer to home and was quoted almost $900 to fix it. I then took it to MacConnell's after my dad recommended them and they fixed everything for about $350! Honest people and quality work!

Dave is a great mechanic and very honest with his pricing. He has been in the area for 20 years and has a great following of loyal customers. I would not take my car anywhere else and trust him 100%! I save so much money going here compared to any other repair shop. Dave can fix anything and stands behind his work!

I've been taking all 3 of my vehicles to Dave for about 5 years. The vehicles range from a 2005 Volvo s60 170k miles, 2008 Toyota Yaris 165k miles, and 2002 GMC Envoy 240k miles. My experience has always been positive and wish I had known about Dave before a neighbor recommended his shop. Once Dave ordered an expensive door window motor from Volvo and after looking at the new part realized he could fix the old part -- so for minimal $ he fixed the old part and returned the new part -- saving me lots of money. On the Envoy he salvaged an old AC pump to keep me cool all summer. Hoping to get a few more years out of this SUV. And the Yaris... it's a Toyota and nothing ever goes wrong with it.. but Dave religiously does the annual inspection, oil changes, and new brakes. Highly recommend Mac Connell's.

dave is a straight up honest mechanic and as others have said he really makes sure your problem is fixed the 1st time so you do not have to return , he used to have a Getty station on Durham Road for many years but has moved into a used auto dealer on the northbound side of business route 1, regardless you can rest assured he will get the job done at a fair price and in a timely manner

I have known Dave forever and actually worked for him at the old Getty Station in Penndel ! Very fair person and has helped me and my Family immensely ! Have also bought numerous vehicles from his lot ! I would highly recommend him !

Called and made an appt..They said bring your car in Saturday at 9am. Got there and no one was there. Finally at 930 he shows up. Asked if I would be waiting there for it. I said yeah if you will be doing it soon. He said "it's not a drive through" great response to a customer already waiting for a half hour for him to show up. Then he starts talking to his friend for 15-20 mins about his weekend. This is without taking anything from me. Basically acting as if I wasn't there. So all in all a 9 o'clock appt was completely ignored till 10 when I left. Would not suggest this place. I wouldn't go by appt time or hours posted, because they just show up when they want. I've never written a negative review, but this was ridiculous.

My check engine light was on. Firestone wanted $99.00 to check it. Pep Boys couldn't get me in for hours. Checked Yelp, found Dave at Macconnel's, he checked it right away. Minor issue I may follow up on. He was great. Found a customer in me.

A great place to have your car serviced. Dave and his team are very thorough and they take care of everything and I know I can trust my car is serviced properly each and every time. Highly recommend for any and all auto service, auto repair needs.

If there is anyone you can trust with your car, truck or SUV, Dave MacConnell is the most honest and competent mechanic I have met since moving to the area. He really knows what he's doing and he's really super nice too. He's great!

I have been taking my vehicles to Dave at Mac Connell's Service center for years and have been very impressed with the service and the treatment of my cars. Dave has taken the extra steps as if he was the owner of these cars. I would say Dave has saved me a lot in time and trouble for his approach on my vehicles. I would say at least a few times Dave found something that would of caused a road hazard that could of been a bad situation. I would not trust anyone else with my cars. Thanks Dave.
