“I live in NYC and bring my pup to Neffsville when I come to visit my family. I like the groomers as well as the vet side. The staff is so friendly even though Bogey can be feisty. The vets answer all my questions in terms I can understand. The vet techs and staff at the desks are also helpful and kind. Seems like a good place to work and that reflects in their service towards owners. Bogey comes here for check ups/vaccines, dental visits, ACL surgery.

I also love the bow ties someone local makes and they sell. I almost always end up buying one each time I’m in .”

We made the switch when our previous vet kept avoiding telling us that our preferred vet had left the practice and scheduled us with other vets that just didn’t care the same for our animals. I cannot recommend this place enough. The staff is absolutely amazing - I had to come in many times over several weeks for my cats wound care and Dr. Purvis was wonderful. I didn’t feel pressured over things and she always was helpful and walked through what was going on with my cat’s care and improvement. I also had to bring in my kids several times and they have a play area and were extremely accommodating. I brought my 5 month old in each time and the ladies were always so helpful with getting me to my vehicle or being a helping hand. It can be stressful as a mom needing to take your children places and they were so kind and caring I truly appreciate it. I wish I found hempfield animal hospital years ago!”

“I didn't have a great experience with VCA West Shore Animal Hospital (and neither did my friends and neighbors), so I was reluctant to go to another VCA. However, I had no choice as it was a last minute appointment. My cat was experiencing some vomiting and I was at a loss. Now, I see another reviewer attempted to slander Dr. Leann Murphy, which is absolutely ridiculous. And essentially their complaint was about the bill. Newsflash, friend, pets can be expensive. Perhaps consider fish if you don't want to spend for the care of a mammal. My experience with Dr. Murphy was excellent. She did everything she could to exam my anxiously distressed cat before making a careful suggestion to place him under anesthesia so she could closely exam him. The medication she prescribed cleared his vomiting and she said it was due to stress (added another cat to the household). I'm a overly cautious and anxious pet owner, so I had numerous after appointment questions. Guess what? Dr. Murphy always returns my calls. Where most veterinarians would tell you "bring them back in" so they can hit you with another bill, she did not. Friendly staff. Thorough care. The bill was higher than I had anticipated, but that's the fault of the lab (full mark-up blood tests can be expensive), not VCA Smoketown. Yes, I would return to VCA Smoketown Animal Hospital, and yes I would recommend Dr. Leann Murphy.”

“The wellness plans are great! To know your fur child is fully covered for vaccines, boosters and visits for a reasonable monthly fee is worth it! Doctors and staff are awesome but we have our favorite. Dr. Polito won me over when my dog needed medicine. It was expensive and though I'd have gladly paid it there was no way to be sure we could get her to ingest it as she's so tiny and has had problems swallowing pills in the past. Dr. gave us a much cheaper and honestly much healthier alternative that we could get in liquid form from GNC. She gave us a few tiny syringes and a dosage amount...it was literally like 3 drops, shes that small. $12 and it worked! They truly care about your animals as if they are their own and want them to be well, not just sell you on unnecessary drugs. Was another time they recommended a drug. I forget what it was but its how we discovered she couldnt swallow pills. I tried everything I could think of to get her to take it to no avail. Doc was honest and told me that while it was recommended, it was really only necessary in certain parts of the country and that my dog was probably safe without it. I recommend Bandield wellness plans to everyone I know with a fur child! Several have taken me up on it and they are also very happy with the staff, service and price! Thank you Banfield for taking such good care of our babies! It's been almost 12 years and we couldn't be happier! ?

Edit to add....14 years now and still very happy with Banfield! Dr. Polito has been seeing my kids since they were babies and she is truly amazing. So thankful for her and the rest of the staff! Called today to schedule appointments for all 3 kids and Samantha heard my dogs name and described her asking if that was her! She remembered her and said they all love her and can't wait to see her at her appointment. They truly treat my pets like family and for that i am so grateful!”

“So grateful, still(!), for the Neffsville staff and the kind, gentle way they care for my pets. This morning when I called at 8:00, they had an appointment at 10:10 to see my sick dog. The staff was so nice to me and my boy. No guilt, just good care. Knowing he had an annual check-up next week, they tried to fit that in as well. And they offered me tips on how to save money for his medicine. Dr Rosenbaum was wonderful with him as was the vet tech (I'm sorry, I forgot her name), and the front office staff. Thanks everyone!”
