When I called and asked if they could prepare our business tax, I was assured that they could. Long story short, we were shuffled from one preparer to another, and finally to Rebecca, over a period of several weeks. She showed us the return just before the deadline, then filed it before we had a chance to study it. We found a mistake, Rebecca redid the return, and filed it immediately again. When we studied the second return, guess what? She had made the same mistake again, and blamed us for giving her the wrong information. (Not so). She refused to correct it this time, refused to refund our $1000, and we had to find another accountant, who finally straightened it out.

Rebecca has been doing my taxes since I was 15 years old. She currently has been doing my businesses taxes for 5 years. She has taken care of my family for years. Genuine, trustworthy and honest she always gets the job done. I reccomend everyone to her.

Although the morning staff were nice and courteous Rebecca Mangold herself was very rude and unprofessional towards me especially as a first time client was asking me private irrelevant questions I was shocked and uncomfortable which I decided afterwards from the lack of professionalism to cancel my appointment and go elsewhere. A business that Can't Provide Good Customer Service Needs to Reevaluate Themselves!

Avoid doing business with Rebecca Mangold's Tax Service. We had an appointment made a year in advance, which they ppd and then called 10 minutes late to say they couldn't do it at that time. When we objected, Rebecca became angry. She had one of her associates do our taxes and we were fined twice by the IRS due to mistakes and ended up owing an additional $500 before fines. We had to have another tax preparer re-do our 2019 taxes, despite Rebecca saying she would prepare them before January 2021. Mangold did not respond to more than a dozen calls and emails requesting that she make the corrections. In fact, she was rude to our financial adviser who discovered the errors. This service is not worth the headache you will have.

I do not make a habit of making poor reviews of any organization or business, but we had such an awful and frankly traumatizing customer service experience that I thought it was important to share. Not the issue but for Context: In preparation for our appointment and upon asking if there were any specific COVID directions or procedures in place, we were told no aside from wearing a mask ( that was fine with us but we wanted to make sure). After arriving at our appointment, I was surprised to see no restrictions in the waiting room, no temperatures, no hand sanitizer at the door, and/or special procedures in place as far as waiting in your car or limiting individuals, we were not given a choice to drop off our paperwork, etc. (again fine as we take needed personal precautions but was somewhat surprised). As we had in years prior with no issues (even last June after our appointment was pushed due to the pandemic and the tax extension), we had to bring our children to the appointment (naturally prepared them with activities). After waiting past our appointment time (again not the issue), Rebecca "greeted us" much colder then I had ever seen before, saying she was ready then disappeared leaving us to wander the hallway looking for the new location of her office. Upon entering her office and getting situated (before beginning), she proceeded to YELL at my 18-month-old son stating that she doesn't want him touching anything, etc. and that she is “not having it.” She then proceeded to borderline SCREAM about how she now has to sanitize everything in her office and out into the waiting room. Please, keep in mind we had not said more than a few words at this point as we were passing her our paperwork. We both were truly in shock and speechless. I asked my husband to take my son to the car and wait for me to call him to sign (we are married but file separately, so I had to essentially speak for him). I have never in my life experienced something so unprofessional and unhinged by someone in the service industry. If she was feeling uncomfortable for some reason there is a way to PROFESSIONALLY and RESPECTFULLY communicate but there was absolutely no attempt made in that regard by Rebecca Mangold. This was a complete opposite experience from years passed where my children were welcomed with open arms and with no issue, we would have gladly dropped paperwork off or followed guidelines put in place by the business had there been any. I spent the appointment time in tears saying little more then 3 or four words. I also watched Rebecca berate the gentleman at the front desk about bringing her “the wrong folder” and dictate that he must wash his hands immediately. We have recommended several other families there in the past which I certainly regret. Needless to say, I called an alternate accountant/tax preparer the day after and we will be switching for next year. She has a 1.5 rating on Yelp all citing poor customer service.

Rebecca is the best! She is so caring, kind, helpful, and patient. She has really helped me navigate through the process of starting and maintaining my small business. I am lucky to have found her and you should too!

I used my former accountant for about 25 years; he died late last year. I found him a true professional and totally enjoyed the relationship. I searched the internet and decided on Mangold's as they were essentially a neighbor. On 1/30/2019, I met with a staff accountant, was not totally convinced, but decided to go ahead anyway. I dropped off my last tax form on 2/25 and was told that my return would be ready in about 2 weeks. Today I received a text asking for more information on an item. When I texted back my explanation, I was advised that she would not be able to use that in her preparation. I drove over to their office and had a brief meeting with her where I that I would retrieve my documentation and we would part ways. What precipitated my decision to terminate was this very officious lady (whom I assumed was Ms Mangold), having overheard our conversation, piped in declaring her 29 years of expertise (truth be told, think it's most probably 1 years experience 29 times) and how things should be done.....a Dale Carnegie disciple she's not! Very rude. No help at all. I ended up walking out! They didn't give me any explanation as to why they wouldn't do my taxes other than I didn't have all the papers I needed. It seemed like they were looking for reasons not to do my taxes. I felt very uncomfortable in there.

We used her for years and she was great. But then she moved to new location. We had an extensive about of new tax stuff due to deaths in family etc...her assistant didn't book enough time and we were going from out of state. Rebecca acted liked we had inconvenience her by her assistant not booking. Then she messed up our returns and it took me weeks of calls and demanding someone fix it to even get her to look at it. She confessed her mistake, but then took another four calls from me to get the new stuff sent and we had to pay for additional work ( her mistake, she should have fixed at no charge).then we got audited by the state and asked for her help. My husband sent her the paperwork and she still hasn't returned our call Next year we use someone else.not because she's bad or made mistakes but because her ability to return calls and customer service is lacking.
