Terrible communication.
Don't expect anything except basic services for a full price cost.
Promises made over the phone and zero follow through. I'm very disappointed in the company as a whole. It is not run well.
From what I can tell, Individuals have specific job roles and if they're out of the office, a client just has to wait until they come back.

Extreme delay in tax preparation. I have called in several times and each time the person preparing my taxes was not in or not available. This is the second year that the process was long and drawn out. Extremely disappointed with the customer service and turn around time.

Being a first time customer and user of the secure portal, things were not always easy follow along. It was not clear who was doing my taxes and who I need to be communicating question to. Pricing seemed a bit steep for the level of service received. There was a pretty significant mistake made on our return, had I not scrutinized my returns, it would have been missed. Thankfully, they promptly and happily are resloving the mistake.
I hope that maybe the second year will go a bit smoother...

So I love the idea that one can do taxes by submitting secure files to their site (liscio). However, I think the process takes some getting used to. I am not sure how much was me being a newby and how much is their system. Doesn’t seem they were aware of the submissions made and then was told they would have to file for an extension (even though much information was in by the beginning of January and the last of my 1099s were in three weeks before 4/15). It was unclear to me who was actually doing my taxes and who I was supposed to communicate with for what. Would be helpful to have that spelled out up front. Whenever I did talk to someone, they were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. All of that said, I am happy with the end result even though being late and not know what is going on caused me some stress.

I am a baby boomer and am semi-receptive to handling (both to and from my very nice and qualified accountant) all correspondence and communication relating to the preparation of my income tax returns VIRTUALLY and REMOTELY. However, as a new client this year, I am trying to make the adjustment to a predominantly VIRTUAL and REMOTE income tax return environment.
I particularly enjoyed finally contacting my accountant via phone and gratefully engaging in one to one conversation to discuss my questions and concerns. It made all the difference in the world! It is very important to me to engage telephonically or in person.
Adapting to an all VIRTUAL and REMOTE environment does not match my learning style. But…I am trying diligently to adjust my learning style as best I can.
However, in the end, I am optimistic I will be content and satisfied with the quality and outcome of the preparation of my income tax returns.

I would steer clear of this company. I requested information and pricing on a service that I was unsure if I needed or not. I never got clarity from them as to whether they were able to provide the service much less an estimate of the cost. I sent a message explaining that I found out the service would not be needed. 2 days later I was blind sided when I received a bill for $540 for the service that I did not approve. When I asked the girl who performed the service why she did it without my approval she told me the owner approved it. When I questioned the owner he stated that I verbally approved it with the girl who did the service. That never happened. For everything else they send you a letter of engagement that includes the cost for the service and requires a signature prior to them performing the service. I told the owner that I should not have to pay for a service that not only I did not approve but also told them in writing that it was not needed. The date the service was performed is dated 2 days after I told them it was not needed. They continue to bill me and are adding late fees. Stay far away from them.
