Karen did an incredible job on my wedding dress alterations. It fit like a glove and I was able to dance the entire evening in my strapless gown. She has so much experience and works incredibly fast. Will be going to her in the future for any alteration needs.

Wonderful experience! I cannot thank Karen Chow enough for working her magic to alter my daughter's wedding dress and making her look beautiful on her wedding day. My daughter opted for a small elopement ceremony in Nashville, TN and kept to a limited budget in order to save money to buy their first house. Although she had watched "Say Yes To The Dress" for many years as a young girl, when she got engaged she did not not want to shop for a dress in person. She bought a dress online on a flash sale which was not her size. Karen knew exactly how to alter the dress (drop the waist, open up the back, etc) to make the dress fit my daughter perfectly. This was all done at a very reasonable price and worth every mile that my daughter traveled from Maryland for her dress fittings. Karen Chow is a lovely lady and we are very grateful that she was part of my daughter's wedding experience. Thank you, Karen, for sharing your talent and creativity to work with my daughter to create her own unique style. Her wedding photos are awesome!

Karen is a master seamstress. If you're looking for someone to alter your wedding dress, do yourself a favor and reach out to Karen right now. I came to Karen two weeks before my wedding, after another tailor made a significant mistake with the alteration I needed. Karen immediately knew how to approach the problem. She was able to fix the mistake, give me exactly the fit I was looking for in the bust (tricky with a backless gown) and devise a solution for a bustle that made the skirt look fantastic - I ended up liking it even more bustled than unbustled. Her prices are incredibly reasonable and she was very kind and generous with her time when I came to her at the absolute last minute. I also found it very easy and quick to make an appointment and communicate with Karen via her assistant beforehand. I can't recommend Karen enough.

Quality 5/5, Professionalism 1/5. I went to Karen for minor alterations to my bridal gown as well as two bridesmaid dresses. Karen does excellent work and is an excellent seamstress. I would gladly give her 5 stars for her skill level and quality of work. Unfortunately, she is also very unprofessional. I was told that my dress would be finished numerous times, only to show up at an appointment to find that she had not done any of the work that she said she would do after the previous appointment. At one appointment, I had to wait for 10 minutes while she frantically looked around the shop trying to find my bridal gown. She canceled twice within 30 minutes of my scheduled appointment when I was already en route to her shop ( I lived 45 minutes away), and kept pushing my dress back to complete other work that she had taken in after my dress which was taken to her three months in advance of my wedding. She finally completed my dress at my sixth appointment, only when I refused to come back for a seventh due to the closeness of my wedding date, and the fact that my mother had taken off work to be there for my final fitting. She rushed to complete the work and ended up attaching the sleeves unevenly. Overall an extremely stressful experience, but if you have unlimited time and don't mind being rescheduled constantly, her work is excellent.Services: Bridal & bridesmaids

I reached out to Karen in a panic 8 days before an event because another seamstress told me there was nothing she could do to alter my bridesmaids dress. Karen had me come in the very next day and provided the calmest more reassuring response I could have imagined.

Karen had me come in the very next day and provided the calmest more reassuring response I could have imagined. She explained it would be a quick fix and had it done in 2 business days. It now fits like a glove and she sewed back the clasp that broke off and steamed the entire dress for a price that blew my socks off. She was so kind and accommodating through the whole process and I am so grateful I found her! If I could give her 100 stars I would!!

A bridal gown shop in Lancaster recommended me to go to Karen for alterations. It seem like she is very well known in the area. Karen was able to take in my wedding dress, it was a few sizes too big for me, she made the dress strapless and did the bustle. No hemming was needed. I think I went for fitting a total of 6 times. This was over the course of 1 year due to covid postponement of wedding. She also allowed me to store my dress in her shop for an year. She was very patient with me and listened to what I wanted. With each fitting, small adjustments were made. My dress did fit like a glove and it was as if it was made for me! I could not recommend her more. Her prices are also more than reasonable and cannot be beat! One of my bridesmaids also had her bridesmaid dress altered here. My one tip is that is you need your alteration done in a rush, be sure to be strict on timeline. Also as with any vendor, always keep your receipt or proof of deposit.Service: Bridal & bridesmaids
