I love this jewelry store. John, the owner, is very personable and helpful. He redesigned a ruby ring into a stunning pendant and paired it with beautiful ruby earrings that my boyfriend purched to match. Irecommend it for all yor jewelry needs and wishes.

I had no idea what I was doing when I went to buy my fiancee's engagement ring but John knew all the right questions to ask and helped me pick the perfect option and a beautiful stone. Not impressed.Brought in a silver necklace. Asked to be polished and clasp fixed.Charged me $20 and it still looked the same as when I brought it in.“Oh that’s the best we can do it’s really dirty”. Well that’s the reason I came to your store. If you couldn’t polish it. Then say so. Don’t charge people for something that is not possible to be done.Was a gift to my son before she passed away. He never took it off. So yes it’s dirty.Treated me like I wasn’t worthy to be a customer there. Very uptight and snooty.Won’t ever be back. And would not recommend.Supposed to support small businesses. Well then support the people who come to your store who work hard for their money and cherish the things they have. May not be much but the value of the meaning behind it far outweighs the metal it may be.

Every time I need something done John is quick to answer and help (prices are great too!). For years I had my late mothers wedding band and engagement ring just laying around in my jewelry box, I am not a jewelry wearer just my wedding band and engagement ring is all you will see me wearing; however I thought why not see if someone can put my Mom's rings to good use. So I went to John at Oletowne Jewelers and am I glad I did. When I explained how I wanted to put the two pieces together and re-size it to fit my finger as my mom had tiny fingers which I was not blessed with. The finished piece was beyond my expectations and brought me to tears. Thank you for giving me a part of the love my Mom and Dad shared; I wear it every day.

Oletowne Jewelers did wonderful work re-stringing a strand of pearls. John was very knowledgeable and helpful in knowing if the pearls were real and worth the money to re-string them. Compared to a jeweler in the Mall, Oletowne Jewelers' price for the work was 1/4th the cost. Thank you John and staff for all you did.

John at Oletowne accepted the challenge of repairing an old novelty watch for our grandchild and managed to restore the voices of Bart and Homer Simpson. He did a great job, and restored the watch functionality and would only charge for batteries. A master watch and clock repairman.
