I used to work for dollar general so please understand this review is not directed at any sales associate or worker in the stores. I shop at the Lake City location, and today I went to buy a loaf of bread. It took 15 minutes to have me rung up because the self-check out that had been installed last year is closed indefinitely, leaving only one check out lane open, manned by a sales associate on a Saturday no less when the $5 off $25 purchase coupons are valid. The sales associate was unable to scan the coupons and had to manually type in the coupon numbers, which are long. What is supposed to be a convenient place to shop, is now actively inconvenient and difficult to shop at. This is negligence on the dollar general corp. Perhaps instead of building new DG's on every corner, make sure the ones that are already open, are actually efficient to both work at and shop at. Also, pay your Sales Associates more. They deserve it.

Inhuman service. Old lady customer asked for restroom in urgency, lady manager said no and send her out to neighborhood business building. Shame.

I love having the store so close to home...when going to the store yesterday. I noticed it was nasty looking at the entrance to the store.and in sidethe floors could really use a good cleanibg...looks like they haven't been swept n mopedin months...

Mt dew tasted flat daughter got sick. I check the date it's expired by 6 months. Went back to store looked all they're Mt dew was expired.
